What is up guys and welcome back to my channel. Today we are doing a quick tutorial on this twist
and curl style that I did because I was just tired of the same old twist out. So without further ado
let's just hop right on into the video. So I'm starting off on an old twist out that I did not
separate. You can see it's slick dry and crusty and I'm separating my hair into small to medium
sections just because the smaller the section the more definition. Then I'm gonna just spritz
it with a little bit of water and finger detangle that section. And you really want to make sure
that you finger detangle it very well so that you get all of the definition from the twist out
out. And then I'm going to take my Camille Rose Almond Jai Twisting Butter and apply that to my
hair from ends to roots and just get that all nice and moisturized and also continue to finger
detangle. And then I take some of this botanical gel from the curls line I guess. Yeah yep. And
then I apply that to my hair from roots to tip. This honestly didn't absorb that well into my
hair so I really had to make sure that I like rubbed it in very well so that it finally absorbed
into my hair. And then I separated that section into two equal parts and then began to twist all
the way down as you can see in this sped up video clip. And then I just took a roller and started
from the bottom and now we are at the top. And I just rolled it all the way to the top and yeah
there you go. There's how I made the twist and curl and I literally just repeated that all over my
entire head as you can see from this clip. Again I just spritzed water on it then added some of
my Almond Jai twisting butter and then some of that botanical gel from the curls line really
moisture really getting that girl why can't you talk really just getting that into my hair
thoroughly so that it absorbs and then twisting all the way down. And a tip here is to make sure
that you're smoothing your hair as you're going down the twist and that really helps with removing
any frizz that you might have and really helps with preventing frizz as you take your hair out the
next day. So as you can see I really just make sure that I'm even smoothing all the way down to
the ends so that I'm getting rid of any frizz that might occur because we don't do frizz. Yeah
yeah basically. Just a fun fact I did use 24 rollers so about six in each section then I
sprayed it with some rose water because I'm extra you know. And here we are the next morning.
I wrapped it with a silk scarf, satin because I'm not paying for a silk scarf. Then I'm just
adding some oil to my hair. I use the Mane Choice anti-breakage oil and you can see here that you
know the rollers they they did they did its job and my hair is very curly. So yeah we got some
good curl action going on in in my hair and I don't take the rollers down any specific way. I
literally just take them out and I just here unroll it. So here after I take all the rollers out I
begin to untwist the twist and look at that definition. Look at that curl like that botanical
gel stuff from the curls line even though it doesn't absorb into my hair very easily like
once I get it in there that stuff holds my hair like just look at how tight those curls are like
it's it's kind of crazy. So then I start to separate the twist even further and a fun fact
or a quick tip is to make sure that you are rolling the hair around your finger as you're
taking or as you're separating the twist because that really helps to really keep that curl intact
and just keeps the curl nice and tight. And then I take my good old pick and I start to pick
obviously the more you pick your roots out then the more volume you will have. I will say with
this style it definitely looks better on days like two and three and four and five and six and seven
eight and nine and ten and eleven and twelve just because here there is like a super tight hold on
it so as you can see like I don't know it's just not as much volume as I wanted and I think that
that has to do with just how tight the hold and how tight the curls were but on the next days
you know it started to get even bigger. So you can wear it like this or you can sort of jazz it up a
little bit as you can see here and I just put some gold pins on the side. I like to call this getting
my Yara Shahidi on. I absolutely love her and I like I feel like she does this whole adding random
pins bobby pins to her hair and you know she just she she does it she just she just really does it.
And that is it. If you enjoyed this video don't forget to give it a thumbs up and also subscribe
