Hey, it's Jackie and welcome back to my
channel for another iconic makeup look
recreated. I'm sure you've heard the
news of the Britney Spears biopic that's
coming up. I'm so excited to see it and
I am currently reading her book. So, if
you haven't got a copy, I'll have this
linked down below. Join me in reading
it. And I wonder what iconic looks they
might cover or reference within the
biopic. But anyways, I wanted to start
with my take on what I would do if I was
the makeup artist on set for covering
Slave for You, one of the most iconic
VMA performances of all time. Or should
I say the most iconic of all time. We
got tossle blonde hair, a tan, smokey
eye. This would be amazing for like a
summer party. And if you take away the
blonde wig in my case and the styling
and just wear this makeup look, no one's
going to think that you're doing like a
cosplay or anything. It is just an
amazing look to try out. or if you're
watching this around Halloween, I'll
also show you my costume I put
together. I am wearing way more makeup
than usual. So, to start bare, I will
show you my un getting ready routine
with one of my favorite skincare brands
that I'm working with,
OIA. I've worked with Oia before, but if
you're unfamiliar with this brand, their
clean, clinically tested skincare from
the
sea. I adore anything nautical,
especially moving into the sunny season,
so I can feel like a mermaid. And they
have a new product they just launched
called the Osia Ocean Wave
Cleanser. This is a Bphase cleansing oil
and makeup remover. You shake the
product up to
activate and the formula you just
massage it into your dry
skin or you could use a soaked bamboo
round if needed.
It has an oil to water formula that
rinses clean without a heavy greasy feel
afterwards. The oil phase dissolves the
makeup and the water phase rinses away
any leftover residue and buildup. As
always with OIa products, it's powered
by Andereia seaweed and biioanical oil
for hydration, nourishment, and skin
that feels really soft and not stripped
after cleansing.
Now that my skin feels super hydrated
and soft, let's get started with this
sexy summer glam. And of course, if you
want to take it off with ease for a
limited time, you can get 10% off with
my code on
screen. As you can see, I have quite a
fake tan going on. This one is Coco and
Eve. I love their mousse in the shade
dark, but then I did amp it up with a
little bit of this like glow you can use
on your face, but also your body. It's
from She Glam and this is the shade
medium warm golden. And with Britney's
tan skin, tossled hair, I cut up this
wig. It looks pretty cute. I love all
the layers. It's super summery, so I
wanted to keep this look a little bit
lightweight. One of my all-time favorite
companies in general is Makeup Forever,
and this is one of their new
foundations. Super Boost Skin Tint. This
is the shade six. Another holy grail
option is the Luminous Silk by Armani
Beauty, but I thought for summertime,
this might be my new
go-to. And the BK Beauty 101 brush is my
most used for applying
foundation. Another one of my favorite
Makeup Forever palettes. This is an HD
skin palette. They have different
shades. Some are half blush, some are
half contour shades, but I love these.
So, I'm taking a mix of the lightest
shades
here. A lot through the cheek and under
the eye to really brighten up the
face and brightening up between the
brows to lift my nose bridge more like
Britney. These creams blend in so
beautifully. They don't look heavy at
all. So, it's so much easier to go in
with these for highlighting and
contouring rather than like a high
coverage concealer. I really think
Makeup Forever is my favorite staple
brand. I'm already pretty bronzed. I
don't think I need a ton of bronzer
here, but I'll take a little bit of a
deeper
shade. Just fade underneath the jawline.
You know what I'm watching right now
that I've never seen? Degrassi the next
generation and I'm obsessed. and this
blonde wig and like when I have a tan
right now and not a lot of makeup on, I
feel like I look like Emma a little bit
like in the later seasons anyway. But I
love that show and the stage makeup is
quite bold. So I am going to go with
quite a bold
blush. But of course all these steps you
can tone down and make it your
own. For blush, I'm looking at a couple
photos here and I see a peachy pink and
it's quite bold. So I'm starting with a
cream base. Then we'll build over top
with some powder.
applying in a line
upwards and then fading down a little
bit. I love the glow to the skin right
now, but I do love to set my makeup. And
my favorite is by Flores. It's a pressed
powder that never looks too
powdery and it slightly mattifies, but
you'll still be able to see some of the
sheen through the skin. Now that we've
powdered, let's amp up the blush. These
remain some of my all-time favorite
blushes. I love Benefit Boxo powders. I
don't even think that's what they're
called anymore, but that was their
original name. But they're great. And I
thought the shade crystal would be
perfect. A strawberry pink
blush. And I've mentioned this is stage
makeup, so this is quite a bold step,
but you can always blend it in and make
it a little bit more
wearable. Let's fake slightly lighter
brows. I'm taking this shade from Makeup
by Mario. Just a nice deeper blonde
shade on an angled brush. The shape of
Britney's natural brows are so gorgeous.
They weren't plucked too thin in the
2000s. They were full but then had a
longer tail, which we don't see as much
now. Like, everybody seems to have the
tail of their brow like chopped off for
that swooped upward effect. But I think
it looks really nice and frames the face
super
well to have a longer tail. Whenever I
do transformation tutorials, it's kind
of my take on biopic makeup. like I
don't look exactly like the actress or
the artist. And I don't want to look
like a caricature with heavy lines on my
face that only look good from a just to
a point where it reminds you of a person
without it looking too crazy on
camera. So here's my Britney nose
attempt to get these bold sultry smokey
eyes. I'm starting with cream bases and
I'm using three. First one is a really
unique eyeliner from She Glam. It's just
a gel and it's really easy to blend out.
So, I started out by creating a
Vshape. I tilted it a little bit too
upward. So, I will be fading that
slightly downward as we go. Then take a
satin taupe shade. This is by Wonders
Skin. Really gorgeous shade
here. Looks like that again. Really
creamy. Now that the bases are down, it
doesn't have to be perfect. Start to
blend
outward.
Also rim the waterline and dot
underneath the bottom lashes. Again,
this will smoke out really
well. And with any taes and grays, I
love a pop of warmth and luckily this
look does have some warmth to
it. And I'm peeking that right up top.
Place it down through the crease and
then start blending in with your brush.
I'm using Reffer. This one is the O2
Mini. I use this one a
ton. And this look is pretty dramatic.
So, make sure the bottom and top wing
fade together. This is what kind of
tapers the eye down a little bit like
Britney needs. Next up, we need a shadow
palette. I have two different price
points here, but some grays, silvers,
taes to really set everything in place
and add more sheen. This one is from She
Glam. And I'll be using this Victoria
Beckham palette, which is simple. It has
all the shades we need. Patting this
taupe shade over the outer V and the
lighter silver mixed
in. And now let's add pops of shimmer. I
was sent these MAC dazzle shadows and
they're really cool. So, let's use the
gold
one. Ooh. Oh, can't even
see. I'll use this to accent the brow
bone. inner
corner. Oh, I love how that
looks and then with the silver shade as
well through the lid to pick up the
light. I could use a black liquid liner,
but I think a coal might be easier. I'm
using Smolder from MAC. It's a little
different than using this eyeliner. This
one I find is more blendable and not
quite as
black. Whereas this is super black. Just
kidding. I decided to clean it up with a
little bit of liquid liner. This one is
by the brand KA. I really like a lot of
their products, too. A really thin line
through the lashes. And I'm playing with
a little bit more dazzle shadow. They
glide on so nicely. You can just dab and
you get a lot of gorgeous shimmer. Give
your lashes a curl. This one is from
Sopia, my favorite eyelash brand. And
then again going with MAC. This is their
MAC Stack Elevated Mascara. Obsessed
with the packaging, the little clear
marble looking
thing. Why am I using my left hand
here? Very much right-handed.
I think I'll add some outer corner
lashes, but I'm just going to let my
mascara dry and move on to lips. These
are the shades that I pulled. Let's see
if they work. First up, we have Guava
from Aveda. It's just a pretty pink.
Using a small brush. I don't see lip
liner here, which is kind of my worst
nightmare, but let's try without lip
liner. Some pink to the lip. kind of
underlining my bottom lip. This is a
classic Orgasm from
Nars there. I like
that. And I have some really pretty
lashes here. I think these might be too
large, so I'm going to trim them. Moment
for this packaging, though. I just think
these are so nice. And they come with
this tiny little glue, which you can use
for more than one application.
Let's talk finishing touches. I was just
dancing around. Not that I can dance.
Choreography right over my head, but I
just was dancing around to Slay for you
while taking photos to get this head
shot. And now I'm glistening. I also did
do some temporary tattoos. I'll have
this kit linked down below. But
basically, you get tons of different
glitters and then a little what looks
like a nail polish, but it's glue. The
Virgo in me is very disappointed because
these don't look amazing. If you can
find stickers, I think that would be way
easier. I'm just kind of freehanding
right now with a little bit of glue. And
then I'm dusting over some
sparkle. See the sparkle
some also come with a bunch of stickers
that you apply and then paint the glue,
put the glitter on, and then peel the
sticker off and it's a lot cleaner. But
I was going for more of a specific shape
like Britney. So this is what I've done.
You get the idea. I think I need to
stuff my bra or socks.
And I used the same sparkles and blue on
a pair of jean shorts. And that is how I
made these bad boys. Now, these barely
fit. I got them really cheap cuz I knew
I was going to decorate them a ton. And
I added different craft supplies that I
had. So, just a bunch of sparkly things
on here. Some beads, some pretty
brooches that I found. And the um main
butterfly was just freehand glue and
then a mix of some green and blue and
teal, which is so 2000s. Like
butterflies and these shades, denim.
Favorite look
ever. Funky earrings. I of course don't
have the headset. That would be a fun
DIY as well if you want to go full out
and some jewelry. And her iconic hair is
very textured.
messy. I would totally get layers like
this, but I just don't feel like I have
enough hair, so I think it would just
look really limp. But oh my gosh,
tossled waves and like super layered
hair is so
pretty. And I was inspired to cover this
look because Tyler wore a similar outfit
and everyone was like, "Oh my gosh,
she's referencing Britney." And Tyler
was like, "No, I wasn't." But I think
anytime you wear just like a green top
and jean shorts, you're going to get
that comparison because it's just so
iconic. I'm also reading Britney's book,
The Woman in Me. Again, I'll have this
link down below, as well as everything
else. And a girl named Kylie keeps going
viral, and I can totally see why. She
does a lot of Britney inspired dances as
almost like an audition for maybe the
biopic, and she has a very similar body,
great smile. Um, definitely Britney
energy. So, who knows if casting
actually looks at those things. I feel
like they should. But anyways, I'm just
excited to see how the biopic turns out.
I know Britney's involved with it, who
they'll cast, what they'll cover. But,
uh, yeah, uh, hope you enjoyed this
look. Let me know what your all-time
favorite Britney style is or music
video. I love all of the early 2000s
looks and like late '9s. And I
specifically love this style of blonde.
It's kind of like Marissa Cooper at the
beginning of season 1 in the OC where
it's like a darker blonde with
highlights. I just think it gives so
much dimension and it looks really nice.
But everyone who starts out with that
color always goes like very platinum and
I just like this better. Again, to take
off all this makeup, I'll be using my
Oia skincare. So, thank you to Oia and
you can use this code on screen for a
discount. Another look that I've covered
in the past is baby one more time, of
course, if you want to watch another
Britney inspired
look. Or if you love iconic blonde
bombshells, you might also like the
Marilyn Monroe inspired tutorial that I
covered recently, too. Thanks for
watching and I'll see you in my next
one.
