Glad I didn't take my pants off for it.
AlexisSunshine83, it's always sunny here, boop!
Hey, sunshiners! AlexisSunshine83 here.
Hello, hello! Super sunny Sunday.
What is up? Today's video, I'm so excited.
I am back at the Yorba Linda Savers.
I haven't been here in about a month.
I don't know why it just kind of happened like that.
Now, I don't necessarily have a
specific theme or thing
that I'm looking for. I'm honestly kind of focused
on like spring clothing. Now I know
technically it's not officially
spring. When does spring actually start?
Spring begins March 19th.
So we have like over a month,
but I'm ready to get into the spring spirit
and I live in Southern California.
I say it in every single video. I feel like you guys need
that context to understand
why I'm thrifting spring
clothing. It literally was 80 the other day,
so. And yeah, I'm just ready for
a chill thrift with me. Nothing
too crazy, nothing too wild,
just looking for some bright colors. So, let's just
get on into Savers. I'm
literally wearing the most me
outfit ever. I have a white
just like t-shirt, denim jacket,
denim pants,
sneakers. I mean, even
though I'm saying that it's spring now,
it is a little bit chilly still,
so that's why I have the denim jacket on. I just thought it was
funny. I really wanted to be comfortable today, so I was like
I'm just gonna go for my typical
look.
Like I said, I'm definitely like
open to whatever the thrift store gives me,
so I think I'm literally going to go into
every single section just to
have fun. I don't know. Sometimes I
get so much in a mode when I'm
doing thrift with me's of like having a
theme and having a purpose that I just
don't like let go sometimes, so
that is what today is. It is a let go
thrift with me.
$24.99. It's
such a cool jacket, but
I don't think it's for me.
I don't know. I think it's really cool. I don't know.
It definitely has the
bright colors of
spring, but I don't know. I just like
tuck in all my shirts, so these type of shirts
that are supposed to be untucked are kind of
difficult for me, obviously,
but I actually really like the color. I think
I'm liking orange.
Well, I actually found a Harley
Davidson sweatshirt zip
up in orange. $20?
Oh my goodness.
I have... Oh, is it not a zip up?
It's kind of a weird
one. I don't know. I'll try it
on. I'll give it a chance.
It's a Tinkerbell
sweatshirt. That's so cute.
Okay, this whole spring thrifting
thing is not going well. I just keep finding
sweatshirts. I got some
Tommy Hilfiger jeans. I feel like I find
Tommy Hilfiger jeans here all the time.
I'm going to try them on. They're $16,
so...
Oh, dang. These are some
intense pants.
I think I've only worn leather
or wet look fake leather
bottoms pants once.
I wore them to a
baseball game, but it wasn't like I was
watching the baseball game. I was in the baseball game.
It was for someone's birthday
and I literally had to
take them off in the bathroom because I was sweating
so much. Just imagine
Ross from Friends. That was me.
And we have another pair. Honestly, I
wish I would have found them before I went to
this Britney Spears experience thing.
I could have totally done an oops, I did it
again look. They're like
corduroy high-waisted
sh**. These are actually kind of nice.
They're a little bit more like professional looking
shorts. I like them. I don't think I would
wear them that often though. There are a lot
of yellow shorts as well. I don't think I
necessarily need anymore, so I think I'm good
here.
I don't know how I feel about this because it
is so like bright in your face,
but I kind of just want to try it because obviously
last year, green, pistachio,
neon, pastel, green,
everything was really big and
I might as well give it a try, you know.
It's okay. You guys
are okay. I found this skirt. It's originally from
Brandy Melville. It seems very tiny
but I'm going to give it a go. I literally have
no idea where I would wear that
but it is beautiful. It's just an
appreciation post of that dress
because it is so pretty. I actually
picked up a lot of colorful skirts
surprisingly and now I'm going into
the dresses to see if I can find any
colorful things here.
Fat cat.
I feel like I am picking up a lot of stuff
that I like that I know I'm not going
to get, but you never know.
This is a nice pattern. There hasn't been
anything that's been like, wow, like
this is such a find. It's all just been like
this. This is like an
Urban Outfitters jumpsuit
but technically this is
broken, like the strap, but I feel like it would be easy
to put back.
Even has the original Urban Outfitters tag on
there. It is originally
$79 and they're selling it
for $24, which is
damage, so I'm sure somebody could
like, finesse
their way to get it a little bit less inexpensive
because it is damaged, but
a really cool find. I wish it
was in my size. I definitely noticed
and I'm sure you guys have noticed, obviously my style
has changed and a lot of it is because
the t-shirt section, like
at the thrift store, at most thrift stores,
just doesn't have that much. Obviously I'm wearing
a t-shirt right now. I'm not
necessarily moving away from it, but I just find
trying to thrift new
t-shirts, there just aren't as many,
but I still look
because you never know. Honestly, one section I
really never go into is the long-sleeve
guy section. I don't know, I
just never even think about going, but I just found
this shirt and I like
it. We'll see how it actually like, fits, but
I have also found like, curly
shirts in the guy long-sleeve
section, yet I still always forget
about it, so don't
uh, don't sit
on it. I'm trying to think of the
expression, but you know what I mean. Okay,
I said that I hadn't found like, the perfect
piece that I'm like, wow, so
excited about. Somehow, this
sweatshirt is doing that to me. I am so excited about
it. It says Alaska. It's got an eagle's
face on it. It's like, the perfect size,
perfect fit. I am, and it's only $4.49.
Also, even though personally I was very
much ready for Christmas to be over,
I'm still holding on to Christmas
sweaters. Like, I just see them, these
like, funky sweaters and I just want
all of them. This one's
so cool. I just, I want all of them
still, but it's getting warmer,
so I don't need them. Very much
appreciation, um,
post video footage of
this shirt because it is freaking amazing.
I am very excited actually about
everything that I have put in my cart.
It's gonna take me a while to try it on. There's a lot
of colorful things. We do have
a pink sweater in there. I don't know how I feel about it,
but we're just gonna have a good time.
I felt like this time, I just wanted to pick up stuff
that I did like and just try it on.
I don't know. Sometimes I'm like, I like it,
but do I want to try it on? And today I'm like,
let's try it all on. So, let's head
on into the dressing rooms.
Alas, I have the small dressing room.
I've been so spoiled the past couple
times. I've been going in the bigger
dressing room because there hasn't been
anyone, but now it's all full and
I'm pretty sure everyone can hear what I'm saying right now.
We're gonna go with my first view.
I'm gonna do the bottoms first
just because I'd rather take off my pants
in the beginning than at the end.
I don't think I'm gonna try on, honestly,
these Tommy jeans.
They just don't look high-waisted
and they're $16.49.
I'm gonna say
no to those early on.
These jeans, they are $5.99.
They say that they're $31. Can you see my butt?
Okay, putting on some jeans.
They are
too big.
They're literally such a nice
gray wash,
but they don't fit.
Oh, these are from ASOS.
These actually aren't that bad.
They're made with a thinner denim
material because they're from ASOS, so they're
kind of that cheaper denim material.
I don't know.
I think they would look good with a belt,
which I have a belt, so we'll see.
They are really comfy. Let me obviously
show you.
They do bunch just a bit right here,
but they are maybe. I'm actually really
surprised. How much are they?
They're $5.99, so that's not too bad.
They're actually quite nice. It's by Nectar
Clothing. It does say that it's a large,
but because, again, it's this
stretchy fabric, it actually
fits definitely more like a medium.
I actually quite like it.
It is a little bit loose at the bottom, but I would probably
then just tuck it in. Okay, I'm actually pretty upset
about this one because I like it
and I wasn't planning on liking it.
It's this really nice, soft,
green sweater
and I like it.
I like it a lot. Update on that green sweater.
It does shed. I'm wearing
a black bra and now it's filled with little
green fuzzies, so I'm still
convinced about it. This one,
it's a little bit bright. I don't really like the fit
of it. I like the sleeves, but I'm not
in love with this fit, so
this one's a no. This one is obviously
a yes, yes, yes, yes.
I love it so much. I'm not
going to try this one on.
It's like $4. It's a very soft
material, but after looking at it,
I'm not in love with it. So I grabbed this
t-shirt and it's okay. There's
nothing necessarily super special
about it and it's $10,
so I'm going to say no
to this. I also realized
after putting my jeans back on that
I also have a bunch of
skirts and dresses, so I really don't
want to take my pants off again because I just put my
shoes back on and these shoes are very difficult to put on
and off, so I don't recommend when you're 15 just put on
some shoes that are easy to put on and off, but I did not
listen to my own advice
here, so I'll probably just try on all these dresses
and skirts over my jeans, so that's
great. I really like the style
of this long sleeve. I like the cars.
I actually have a Ford, so I'm like, oh dang,
it's me,
kind of, but I don't like the color. I definitely
would prefer it to be black, so I don't
think I'm going to get it just because I don't think I
would get as much wear out of it, but I really
like the graphic on the front.
I just figured I'd show you. This
dress is definitely a no, so it's a little
tight. It's just a little tight.
Glad I didn't take my pants off for it.
I thought this dress was going to work a little bit
better, but the front is kind of, eh,
and the fit is a little bit off, so this one
is also a no. Again, very happy I did not take
my pants off. So I really like the pattern
and the color. It's like this
nice blush pink,
but the fit of it, not loving it.
I definitely could thrift flip it, but I think
it's like $13, which
for me at that point, it's not really worth it,
especially if I mess up the thrift flip.
The risk is high.
I really like it.
This thing, I don't, I don't understand.
As cute as this dress
is, it is $24.
It does have the original tag on it
and said it was originally $69,
so I mean, $69 to $24 is really
good, but I just don't think
I would get enough wear out of it, but I really
like the pattern. It's like the perfect
spring dress. If it just was like
$15, $10,
maybe. As much as I really like
the color of the dress, I know it looks a little bit wonky.
I don't have it zipped up all the way
just because I know it's not gonna work because
this is like too short.
There's my hoo-ha area and it's just like right there.
Although there is this in the front,
I just think it's a little bit too exposing
for something I would wear casually,
not that this necessarily should be
worn casually. I really like the color. I'm glad
I tried it on, but it is unknown.
If it wasn't as tight, like literally my butt
is, is on show.
So I basically already have two
of these skirts, but I really like this one. It's like a
silk material. It is
$9, but I really, I really
really like it. I think this is so cute.
It is, it's kind of different
than the other skirts I have
possibly. No, I don't know
why I like this, but I do.
I just really like the pattern
on there. It's a really pretty
light pink. It's kind of
that wrap style. It is
$9 as well,
but I just think I could style it really cool
like some girly
and edgy vibes going on.
I'm definitely going to start wearing sports
skirts more.
It has been a little bit chilly, even though I'm like,
oh, the spring has begun. I will be
wearing more skirts, and I feel like wearing
them to thrift stores is honestly so perfect
because then you don't have to worry, or
not you don't have to worry, I don't have to
worry about having to take off my pants
and having to go through all that. I don't know what this
chat was about, but I think this is a yes.
This is the Brandy Melville skirts.
How do people wear these skirts without
their butt showing? Although this is very stretchy,
I'm honestly surprised that it fits, especially
over these jeans.
It's like a corduroy material, so
I'm not actually loving the
material of it, so I don't think I'm going to get it,
but I just want to, you know, give it a
go, and again, I'm really surprised it actually
is quite stretchy, but no.
My butt is like right there. Wow.
I don't think I'm going to try this on just because
I'm already like, meh, it's
like $11, and I don't think I'd like it
enough for $11, and putting it on
I don't think would really make a difference, so I'm gonna
say no to this. Gonna try
on this baby next.
Okay, it's definitely supposed to be just more like a blazer,
but I'm gonna wear it like a shirt. It's got some
shoulder pads. I'm in love with the color. I'm
feeling this. This is my good
springtime vibe. I really
like it. This one is from Brandy
Melville. I'm gonna say no. It's nothing
like super amazing. It's
definitely more like a small, so I don't think I would
get as much wear out of it. I do like
the graphic on it. I'm gonna try on the
blazer with it just because I'm wearing
something and I gotta put something with the blazer.
I think maybe with a different outfit I would like
it better, but I don't like how there's not a button
on the sleeve. I'm just being like nitpicky,
but it's making me more
open to trying to find a green
blazer like this that doesn't
have like texture, like it has
kind of these like,
I don't know, just a specific pattern on it, so
I'm gonna say no, but I'm
open to finding a lime green blazer
now. So this Harley Davidson
sweatshirt, I know I'm not gonna
like it, so I'm not gonna try it on,
and it's only because I just, I think it's kind
of an awkward, like I wish it was just a zip-up. If it
was a zip-up, I would like it better, or if it was just
a proper like hoodie, I would
like it, but this like weird V-neck
thing, and it's $20,
so if I don't like
the look of it anyway, and for $20,
but, I mean, it does
say Harley Davidson, which is super cool, it's just
not my favorite, so I'm not gonna get
this one. Alrighty, so I ended up spending
about $40, which is definitely more than
I thought I was gonna spend, but it was because of those skirts
because they were both like $9, so
I'm not too surprised. I ended up saying goodbye
to some pieces that I did like, but I
was like, do I like love them
though? And I was a little bit more ruthless
than I usually am, and I think it's because
I didn't really have a plan, so I wasn't
really looking for anything specific,
or had like a goal in mind, it was more
like, I'm just gonna go if I find one
thing, then that's like awesome, and if I don't,
then okay. If that was just $40,
I can't imagine all the other stuff that I was
gonna end up getting, so I'm feeling really
good, I'm gonna
head on home, and then show you guys
what I got. Alright, so we have
made it back home. I'm actually doing the haul
the same day that I did the thrift with me, so
it's all nice and fresh, and I got
a big old bag here. I'm excited
for all the pieces, I feel like they're all super
unique, so we're just gonna get right into it.
There's no need for me to talk anymore,
I'm sure you guys don't wanna hear me talk anymore,
I mean, you'll hear me continue to talk
because we're gonna talk about the clothes, but
you know what I mean. So the first
thing I got was this beautiful mustard
yellow blazer, I guess,
but I'm gonna wear it more like a button-up
shirt. It is so pretty, I basically
am going to match with Winnie
the Pooh now, and I am so excited for
it. I really like the shoulder pads,
Macy from Blaze and Glaze completely
got me into the shoulder pads. I just didn't feel
confident enough in them, but now
I'm like all for it, and I
love this so much, it's such a beautiful
color. It's originally from a company called
Norton McNaughton Petite,
well, it's like a petite range,
although it does, like, it fits pretty, like,
normal. I'm definitely, like, tall,
so I'm usually not a petite
in anything, but it was $7.99,
and I'm really wanting to get into
kind of just brighter colors, obviously
with spring and summer. I feel like spring is perfect
because it's warmer,
but it's not, like, blazing 100 degrees
yet. I'm really excited to wear this, I have a
couple, like, button-ups that are
brighter colors that I've worn a couple times, and
I really like them. I am warming up to
button-ups, and I'm so excited, and apparently
I'm warming up to shoulder pads as well.
This one, technically, I already have, or
I already have some that are very similar.
The difference is, it's more of a silk skirt,
okay, let me move this out of the way,
it's more of a silk skirt, and
whereas the other ones, I feel like a little bit more
cotton, and it's
originally from IKive.
It definitely reminds me of something that would be
at Urban Outfitters. It is in a small,
it fits really nice, and I really like the waist as well.
It actually goes in at the waist.
Some of my other ones, I don't know, they're just, like,
kind of awkward at the waist. This spring, I definitely
want to wear skirts more when it does get a little bit warmer
because I know I made a big deal about it
being warm in springtime, but
it's going to be quite cold the next
couple of days, so when it finally does get a little bit
warmer, I definitely will be rocking this.
It was $8.99,
which I think is pretty, like, standard, I guess,
for thrifted skirts. I don't know,
I feel like prices are getting more expensive,
so I may try to branch out to different
thrift stores. I think this was also the
first time I haven't gotten a discount
on Savers. Usually, I have, like, a 20%
off, either because I spent so much
money there or because I donated, and
so I didn't have any discounts, and it made me really sad.
This one is actually from the
Loft Outlet. It
was a size 4. I also got it
for $8.99, and it's
not a wrap skirt, but it gives that style
of being a wrap skirt. Like, it
doesn't actually, like, wrap around your body,
although it does have strings that
look like it would. It does zip
up on the side, which I prefer. I feel
like the wrap skirts, I don't know, I just feel like
they're just gonna open and I'm gonna be exposed.
I really like the pattern of it. It definitely
reminds me of, like, your grandma's
curtains, like, 100%, but
I am here for it. I'm getting used to
pink. I actually just spit. I don't know if you guys could've
seen that, but I just, like, completely just
spit on all the clothes that
I got, so that's beautiful.
This one, I'm probably most excited
for, which is probably
weird. It was only $4.49,
and it is this Alaska
sweatshirt. I mean, it's just one
of those scenes that I know I'm going to wear so
much, kind of similar to this shirt. Like, I've
worn it so much in so
many videos and also, like, in my day
to day life, whereas the other pieces
are a little bit more, like, specific
style. I can't just, I mean, I can
just throw on a skirt and do all that,
but there's something about a good t-shirt
or a good sweatshirt like this
that's already just comfy. It's already broken
in. It has an eagle on it, and it
says Alaska. I really, really like
the patchwork. I think that's so awesome.
The eagle looks pretty intense, really
looking in your eyeballs. Then, for a
nice little surprise in this video,
I honestly was not thinking
about getting jeans at all. I didn't even think
I was going to try on any jeans, and also the fact
that I found these in the guy section, like,
I'm just blown away. I think it's definitely because it's
originally from ASOS, so I feel
like it's not the normal, like,
guy jean brand that's
at the thrift store, because a lot of them, I don't know,
it's a personal problem. I don't know why
guy jeans at the thrift store
never fit me. They just, like, do this weird
thing for my waist, and it's just a whole thing,
so I'm surprised that these actually do fit,
and even though they are a little bit loose, because
they are a size 28, I really like the
color of them, and they actually are
high-waisted. They got some distress
on the side. I could even put distress,
like, holes on the knees. I'm really excited
about them, and they were only $5.99.
They fit very similar to the jeans
that I'm wearing right now, so obviously I'm gonna have to wear
like a belt with them, but that's basically
all my jeans, and it's the only way I really
accessorize is a belt, so
I feel pretty good about them. They are
a little bit of a thinner material. Again, like
I said, kind of that, like, cheaper material,
but not too thin, like
not a jeggy material. It's still
a jean material, but it's not
intensely jean. I don't know. I could
talk about this for hours. I feel really good
about all the pieces that I got. I feel like I say
that in every single video, but specifically
this video, because I really thought about each
piece that I was getting, and how I was gonna
style it. How was it gonna fit in my wardrobe?
I like that every piece is quite
different, to an extent. I definitely want to start
going to different thrift stores, though. I think
next Sunday's video, I may
go to a thrift store I've never been to,
and I'm really excited, and I just have a lot
of plans, and hopefully
