Okay, ready? You want to hold my hand? It's just going to be a little pinch, okay?
Hey guys, and happy Monday. It is definitely a Monday. We've got a big week ahead, so stay
tuned for those future vlogs. If you haven't subscribed, go ahead and subscribe right now.
Give us a thumbs up for this video and ring that bell so you get the notifications. So
today, Livvy and Stella both have doctor appointments for well checks. They were supposed to have
them a few months ago, but obviously because of the coronavirus and everything going on,
we pushed back those appointments until it was a little bit safer. So the doctor's office
actually called me on Friday and wanted to move back the appointment again. And kindergarten
registration is going to be this month, and I have to get Livvy's shot so she can go
to kinder in the fall. And unfortunately, Stella has been pulling out her hair. And
I'm not even talking like little bits. I'm talking like huge bald spot on her head. We
don't know what is going on. Obviously, Mark was a PA. He's looked into it a little bit,
done a little bit of research. Anyway, long story short, guys, we are headed to the pediatrician
office today to get shots for both Livvy and Stella, but also to try to figure out
what to do about Stella pulling out her hair. She is a thumbsucker. If you're a regular
on our blog, you've seen it. Super cute, right? It's cute, but she uses the other hand to
pull out her hair. So I already did her hair in pigtails today to kind of hide it, but
I'll show you what I can. And then after the appointment, I'll take out her hair and you'll
be able to see. One side is up to here. The other side's down here. I've actually never
given her a haircut because she started pulling out the top about six months ago. That stopped.
She sucks her thumb and digs her finger into her nose. And she's got, that's why she has
that red mark right there. Some of you have asked, did she fall? Is she okay? She's fine.
Just when she goes to bed, she digs at it. So it's going to be kind of a big day, guys.
Hopefully we can figure some things out. So I'm going to get the girls. They're all ready
to go. We're going to get our shoes on and head to the doctor. Ready to go, Liv?
You ready to go?
Yeah!
Oh, they're all excited. They have no idea what's coming. Come here, Stella. Let me try
to show everyone your head. Normally I part, she likes to suck out of the water bottle.
Normally I part her hair on this side, but the big bald spot is right here. Again, you
guys, I did the best to cover it up, but it's a pretty big bald spot. So we're going to
go try to figure that out. And Liv, what are you going to the doctor for?
Our kindergarten.
Yes. So we have to go make sure you're all healthy and get Stella's two-year shots and
figure out her bald spot. But see, guys, she just like sucks her thumb. She's got that
little red mark. I always put Aquaphor on it like three or four times a day. Anyway,
let's go see if we can find some answers. Okay? They're all cute in their matching dresses.
And wait for dad to come home.
Yes, dad should be home. All right, let's go, girls. Are you going to bring Minnie?
Maybe that'll help soothe her today during this appointment. We will see. Can you get
your shoes on? Okay, go get your shoes on. I don't know if you can see the bald spots,
guys, like they're pretty bad. I'm going to show you when I take her hair out. You got
your shoes? Okay, can you put them on? All right, you ready to go?
Yeah!
They're pretty excited for the doctor's office. You know we're going to see the doctor, right?
Yeah!
Just going to make sure you guys are healthy and strong, okay? All right, you ready?
Mm-hmm.
You ready?
Mm-hmm.
You guys be really good, okay?
Go?
Yes, we're going to go. And I'll give you a snack in there, okay?
Okay.
All right, come on.
Hi!
Are you bringing Minnie?
Yeah, Minnie!
Okay, let's go.
Okay, go.
You ready?
Yeah!
Okay, let's go.
Okay!
Keep your feet straight, okay?
You're getting big.
She's getting big.
What's the matter?
We got Minnie. This is why we brought Minnie, okay? She's fine. She's just a little strange
or danger, huh? You're okay. You did good. You guys are getting big, huh, Liv?
What's wrong, honey?
It wasn't scary.
It wasn't scary. You're okay. This isn't even the bad part. Already tears and we haven't
even done shots. Can you be brave?
Yeah!
Can you be happy?
Yeah, happy.
Okay, because we got to talk to the doctor, okay?
Okay.
Always bring snacks as reinforcements. Are you happy? Are you happy?
All right, so the doctor just came in. I didn't vlog because it's been kind of tricky because
Stella will start crying. It's okay, honey. It's okay. Anyway, so I took Stella's hair
out so she could kind of see. Can you say hi?
No!
She recommended a hat. Basically, the stuff Marco said, she said there's also like a special
nail polish you can put on nails to stop thumb sucking because it tastes really gross. It's
like a special medicated one. They're going to get shots now. I don't know if I'll vlog
because I'll probably need to comfort them, but we'll let you know how it goes after.
It doesn't hurt for me at all.
Yeah, you're going to be super strong, huh? Super brave, right?
Yeah.
Because we got to get some shots so we can go to kindergarten, okay? And you too, okay?
Here, I'll show you guys this. Oh, Stella. I'm giving her the phone to preoccupy her
a little bit, but here is the huge bald spot. She did say the hair will grow back and to
just try to put a hat on or something, so we're going to try to look for a hat. I texted
some friends. See that big bald spot, you guys? I texted friends and we're just going
to try to stay on top of it, I guess. She didn't seem too concerned, but she's like
let me know if it gets worse and she'll grow out of it, so I just ... I don't even know
if you guys can really tell. Looks the worst right after we give her a bath when it's all
wet, so maybe we'll do that tonight. Poor thing.
Other than that though, they look good, so I'm grateful for healthy children, right?
So Stella has to get four shots today and Libby just has to get one for kindergarten.
And then we'll be on our way. Just one, okay?
Okay.
So it's just going to be a little pinch, okay? You be super brave. Yeah, it doesn't hurt
that bad. It's just boop and then we'll go get a treat, okay?
Treat?
Yep.
Okay.
Okay, sound good?
Mm-hmm.
Okay, we're still waiting for shots.
No!
Are you excited to get your shots?
I'll go.
And she wants to go. We've been waiting here about 30 minutes almost, but she just poked
in and said she's preparing the shots, so wish us luck. Stella, you ready to get your
shots?
Yeah.
She has no idea what's coming, but I think maybe that's why she's clinging on to me so
much, because she remembers she got them last time. I don't know. Do you want me to record
you giving your shots so you can show everyone how brave you are? Or do you want me to put
the camera down?
Yeah, I want to show everyone how brave I am.
How brave you are?
Yeah.
I think they have a sucker for you and your shots.
Sucker.
Should we show our friends on YouTube how brave you are to get your shots?
Yeah, I want to show Halle.
And Halle and Ty, that's right. Halle and Ty are here, so we've got to show them, huh?
Show!
I decided to put her shoes on and get her dress, because we've been waiting for so long,
so they can still do her shots in a dress, so it was a good thing I put her in a dress
today. Hi, Stella. Okay, ready? Be brave. You want to hold my hand? Hold my hand. Okay.
Good job. It's just going to be a little pinch, okay? You got this. It's okay, look at Mom.
You're okay. Going to go to kindergarten? You excited? Yes, going to go to kindergarten
and have so much fun, huh?
Going to make lots of friends.
You're so brave, Liv. Good job. It's okay, it's okay. It's okay. You did so good, honey.
Okay, we didn't record Stella because Mom needed to hold her. She's a little traumatized.
It's okay, honey. This is going to go get you a popsicle. She'll get good, though.
She started screaming pretty hard, but Liv, you did so good, too. I know, honey. Should
we go get some lunch? You get to pick wherever we go for lunch. What do you want?
Hot dog. You want a hot dog? Okay. Anyway, we survived. Shots are done, and Livy doesn't
get any again until she's 11. Okay, Liv? Okay. Popsicles. Thank you. Thank you so
much. Thank you. That's so nice. You got popsicles. Honey, it's okay. Here you go. Yeah. Is that
good? Oh, yummy. You want some more? Okay, I'm going to go get the girls some lunch and
a treat. How's that popsicle? Good. Good. Look at how cute Stella's little band-aids
are. What's on her band-aids, Liv? Ponies. Ponies. What's on yours? You got a pony one,
too? Aw, so cute. Are you feeling better? You're not? You were so brave. You didn't
even cry until the third one. Did that last one just hurt, or were you just scared? The
beginning one didn't hurt. Good. I'm glad. You're pretty brave. Do you want to go get
some lunch? What do you want for lunch? Like chicken nuggets or something, or do you just
want to eat it? McDonald's. McDonald's? Yeah. Is that going to make you happy? Yeah. Because
you guys were so brave. Do you want McDonald's, Stella? Want some fries? I know, honey. Those
are ouchies, huh? You guys are all done. Okay? Let's go have a fun day. All right.
It's only been about a minute and the tears are gone. You guys are brave. You feeling
better? Almost. Yeah. You're feeling good, right? How's that popsicle? Yeah. Yeah. All
better, right? We got some suckers, too. No more tears. So happy, huh? You guys feel
better? All right. Yeah. I'm sure you can take a sticker, too. Do you want a sticker?
Yeah. Okay. All right. We've got McDonald's for the girls. I got Livia's special drink
at Twisted Sugar. Stella, you eating your apples from McDonald's? They're watching it,
Libby. Then Ty's at home babysitting Hallie, and I got these drinks for them. It's Twisted
Sugar Day, Mommy Monday. If I get a 32-ounce drink, I get three kid drinks for $1 each.
So got a little treat for the girls, got them some lunch. They were super brave today getting
their shots. Now we're going to head home and just take it easy. Put Stella down for
a nap. Going to get them some Tylenol for their pain and just kind of take it easy.
I got shots, and they were bleeding, and they were hurting, and I got band-aid, and-
But you were brave, right? Yeah, and I- How many did you get? Three, and Stella got four.
She was screaming a lot. Can I see your face? We got suckers and popsicles pink. Wow. Popsicles
and suckers? Yeah. No, just do this. Yeah. Stella, did you get shots? Yeah. They're always
in the size. Let me see your band-aids. Little pony band-aids. She got pink and kind of ones,
and I don't. It's okay. Yep, so they're a little sore, but you guys did so good, huh?
Yeah. Always in the size. I hate in the size. All right, I'm giving the girls some Tylenol
right now for some pain relief, and then Stella's going to go take a nap. Right, Stella? Yeah.
All right, so it is almost time for bed.
I just took off these band-aids. Her legs feel good. Let's see these ones. Do you want
to take them off, honey? Yeah. Yeah, take them off. Do you want to take them off, or
do you want Mom to? Okay, ready? Sorry. Are you okay? Okay, ready? Last one. You ready?
Good job. Let me see. Let me see your legs. Hey, they look pretty good. They look pretty
good. Are they okay? Yeah, all done. All done. Perfect. You feel okay? She took a three-hour
nap. She's feeling good. She's acting totally normal. Oh, should we throw those away? Yeah.
Come here, Liv. Come take off your band-aids. How are you feeling? Good. Should we take
off your band-aids? Yeah. I'll take them off fast, okay? No, don't take them off. I will.
You want to do this one? Let's do one. No, I want to do that. I want to do that. Okay,
do it fast, and then it doesn't hurt. Ready? One, two, three. Do you want me to do it?
Can I do it? Yeah, and don't do hard. You want Halle to do it or Mom? Halle. Okay,
three, two, one. Oof, that's not fast. How's it look? Good. Good. Do you want me to do
these ones? No. Do you want me to do it? I want to keep this one on. Okay, three, two,
one. No. Oof, okay. Should we take the yellow one off too? No, I want to keep it on. You
got to come off when we take a bath, which we're going to do, so why don't we just take
it off? Want Mom to do it? No, I want to do it. Oh, okay. You take it off. Ready? I
don't want to. You got to do it fast so it doesn't hurt. One, two, three. Three, two,
one. Rip it. One, two, one. Go. Nice and slow. This one's like gone. It's like gone. Good
job. Oh, but there's so much blood. Hey, that's not bad. Just a little pokey, huh? Yeah. Does
that hurt to push right there? Yeah. Okay. All right, you guys are doing good. Should
we go take some baths? Yeah. Thanks for watching Hope. I love you. Say, don't forget to subscribe.
Don't forget to subscribe. Ring the bell and give us a thumbs up. Bye. Give Libby a big
thumbs up for being brave in her shots today. Give this video a thumbs up, huh Lib? I get
to go to kindergarten. Yes. Was she passed? She did her shots so now she gets to go to
kindergarten. That's why we had to get shots so we're all healthy. Bye. Bye. Say bye. Bye.
