Solo female van life⧸ How I shower while living in a van⧸ Trying my new outdoor shower

So I was to go um in like um I have a map here it's the off-road road map book um and it's supposed to have like a campsite but kind of like a recreational site sorry and uh I missed the previous one that I wanted to go to but based on the map it seems to be like more like a 4x4 type of area and um I don't know it's just the beginning I just did one kilometers and I think to go in that campsite it's 15 kilometers that I have to do it's already like it's not rough but it's really narrow and it's got like some kind of big rocks that fell and all that so I just feel a little bit like maybe I don't know if I should go further it's got a cute little like spot here that uh I could make fire tonight here and all that let me think about it all right that was a tight fit my van just fit here guys I don't know it's a little bit windy right now so I'm not sure not sure if I can even open my doors right now hopefully because I'm really tight on the other side so all right the door just opened we're good and my cat's already already in the wood gonna go check that river so we are making ourselves have our own little chair I pushed there a lot I guess I was able to just roll them a little bit further and I'm charging my battery as well why not so yeah I think we're gonna spend the night here I already drove a little bit from the previous town and I don't think I'm gonna do the rest of that road I feel like it's probably gonna be getting worse and worse and worse and worse so um yeah I don't really feel to put my value to that I was supposed to go to another campsite around the lake what seems to be like really beautiful but I completely missed the road to go there I was just driving and so quiet the cat was like sleeping upstairs a little cover and I just yeah I kind of forgot that we were going somewhere kind of you know so uh yeah we're gonna spend the night here it's gonna fall I'm not sure if we're gonna have a fire we'll see how I feel later on so I think now that we are here in the backcountry I'm gonna have a shower I kind of need one but I have a bucket I usually have a bunch of stuff like extra propane and my shower which I'm gonna show you give me a sec here so I opened it the other day but this is the shower rechargeable camping shower it's a USB plug never tried it I just charged it uh two days ago so I was like I'm going back country I'm gonna definitely use this so I think we're gonna go get some water in the creek and fill it up and leave in the sun so it warm up a little bit and I'm probably gonna boil a bit of water and warm that up and have a shower later on all right so I decided to come inside to have something to eat I'm not gonna cook on the fire tonight I'm just feeling a little bit tired so I think I'm gonna eat and have a good shower and go to bed early so I'm just gonna right now I'm in the mood of like trying to empty a little bit of my food situation I know I did like a grocery a big grocery to have enough for like the road trip that I'm about to do which is pretty much like in the backcountry for a good week with just smaller town in between but um yeah I do have some stuff that needs to be eaten a little bit so I'm gonna make those chow mein noodle bacon I like that they are already like portion size which is perfect so the water is boiling so this is what I'm gonna add with a bunch of vegetables super simple so now that the vegetables are good I'm just gonna put the snap peas for a couple minutes and I'm gonna cut some spinach as well I'm gonna add some soy sauce and maple syrup this on top of me because I had so many fly you're attracted to the white but I really have some white legs right now by the way if you wonder where is Kelly I put a little bed right there so I can have my chair back that was the only way I could do it all right I'm gonna clean everything and boil some water so I can have a shower all right so I boiled one pot of water the water is pretty good like you know it's not cold make a good difference that I leave it like properly for two hours in the sun but I'm still gonna boil one pot of water just to make it a little bit warmer it was getting way too hot inside the van so I had to decide to come outside to do that with the cooking that I just did and like those two pots of water yeah so yeah I'm just gonna stimmer that a little bit to get it warmer a little bit and yeah I think we're gonna maybe to try that new shower I never tried like I said so I'm kind of curious to see how everything's gonna go I don't know if I have enough water I have to I would like to shower my head to my hair so we'll see so while the water is boiling I'm just gonna prep myself so I'm in the back of my van uh facing uh the river not so far uh there's a road in front of me but um they're not gonna like they really have to stop in yeah they're not gonna I saw like probably three cars since I'm here so but um put the towel there I'm gonna also keep my sandal they're gonna be wet but that's fine I prefer that than having my feet all muddy um and also I know that the shower has a little rack or something so I'm gonna hang that up here and yeah so have a little shower in the back of my van I'm really like uh I kind of like if you want to look for it like I I've been I purchased this like probably two or three months ago even two months ago for sure and I didn't try it yet um obviously when it's cold you don't feel to do that but uh if it's not too bad I mean I'm I don't know I'm thinking about maybe canceling my gym membership uh the problem with my gym it's not like every time and when I'm traveling right now I don't feel it that useful but maybe in the winter I'm gonna like to have my my gym membership uh we'll see I'm not gonna make a decision right now but I'm looking forward to see how everything's gonna go all right so I do have two pots of water that I just steamed so it's just perfect uh I'm gonna show you quickly like the soap and things I'm gonna use this is my shampoo so I don't know if I'm gonna wash my hair today if I do have enough water I'm gonna do it but this is the shampoo that I use it's biodegradable, gluten-free, paraffin-free, soy-free, vegan because yes it is vegan it's not tested on animals and it's safe for river, lake, ocean and septic safe so for like I'm not an expert on those things okay but for what I heard even if it's safe in river, lakes and all that you should not use those products beside a small creek or like directly on the lake because it kind of like kills some micro organic things like this so yes the river is right here but the water is gonna drain like pretty much underneath my van's gonna stop going there so it's not gonna go directly into the river but it is biodegradable so at least it's that and my soap it's just a bar soap oops get some package I mean it it's a brand new one but it's a little bit slug it is one company in Squamish make this is made from I don't remember the three ingredient but it's made from three ingredient that you pretty much can have in your kitchen so really good for environment and all that and I do have allergy so this is the product that I use so I don't have any problem I'm allergic I think to perfume and things like this so this is the good stuff all right now this is out of the way this is the shower like I just show you earlier still in the package so I didn't charge for what I know is come with that little shower head and a pump that I charge that one I think you take one second it took like not even an hour to charge but I think the charging was recharge recharge time three two to five hours sorry and you can have a shower for 45 to 60 minutes so obviously with the amount of water that I have I'm not gonna have a shower for that long I'm gonna show you what I have I just have this bucket that I found when I was doing housekeeping so it's just like a soap bucket I'm not sure how many liter it's not even full but 38 28 sorry liter but it's less than that right now so hopefully I can have a shower and shower my head too as well all right the only thing that I don't really like is they don't have like on and directly from the shower head so you just have to this is a usb shower head by the way so you put that on close very important and you're gonna start this put that on water but yeah you don't have it on and off directly from the shower head which I wish they had because you know so you kind of have to be ready when you put the pump inside the water all right so how are we gonna do this now I feel so good so I had just enough just enough water to do my hair I was very old probably like oh no because like the pump you have to leave a little bit of water for the pump so I end up just pouring the rest of the water on top of my head all right let me dress up and be right back so I turned out to be good I think I really like it I wish like I said it would have like a on and off for the the actual like shower head but I think the next time I'm gonna try to do just like the body and another time just the air or something like this because if you just do the body it's just like you don't need the on and off kind of you just go for it but I was kind of like super fast and like the water level I mean if I just do my body and I don't do the my hair because I do have like long hair so you know it doesn't help but just the body would be totally fine with the amount of water boat was like I said I was like starting to go okay let's do this but it feels good feels really good so I was like I was telling you oh I'm gonna put my shoes on so I don't have like muddy feet but yeah it didn't work out very well for that and I just you know my soap because here it's got a soap on the bumper the soap fell off it's all good they do come with a little suction cup and a holder but yeah you know you don't have time to worry about that all right so let's put everything back together now and by the way it was really easy to put everything together it was just like you know like connecting the wire with this and make sure that the pump is at it's lock where the usb plug is the usb plug is right here so you have to make sure before you put in the water that this is off other than that yeah worked really good I'm not sure if I'm gonna purchase a shower curtain I was thinking about it I was at Walmart and looking for one I'm not sure I want to carry that in the van just to have a shower or if I want to purchase they have like a shower tent and I saw a bunch of solo female like doing van life that do have this but most of them are like desert and like place like where it's got like I don't know not like in British Columbia like me so I don't know if it's gonna be good and I don't think I'm gonna like it I don't know if I it seemed to be quite big to put that inside the van so I don't know a bunch of little questions right now but I mean it's not a big deal as long as I make sure there's no road passing behind me you know what I mean yeah it's all good all right all right guys I think I'm gonna let you with this I've been chilling here uh with a cup of tea um it's been a while that we are outside right now look at my cat it's been such a long time as she's outside that she's got like stuff like they fell on her she's just been chilling there enjoying the outdoor my cat really belonged to the backcountry like guys you have no idea like when we go she just yeah you can tell like she's so happy yeah you can tell that she's so happy to be here it's just she doesn't want to go inside she's like no and when we are in the city and we go to walk like she worry about sometimes car and things like this and here's got car driving and she doesn't mind it's all good I'm in the wood I'm fine so yeah we're gonna chill out here a bit more and go inside um I think that's gonna be uh uh early night I've got a tire I woke up super early last night uh the cat woke me up because she went underneath the bed to go play and I couldn't fall asleep so I woke up at like we got up at a spot like five o'clock and yeah and we've been driving so early night and um yeah a lot of backcountry you're gonna see a lot of backcountry video for the next little bit I think uh and yeah hopefully hopefully we're gonna find some offspring too that's gonna be nice all right guys I will
