What's up Nissan fans, Christopher here from Cars Unlocked.
Today I'm checking out the 2020 Nissan Kicks SV.
With the discontinuation of the Nissan Versa Note and the Nissan Micra, Nissan has gone
full on Kicks mode here.
This is their entry level hatchback that they offer.
This SV is right in the middle package with an MSRP of $2,298.
Truly this one has the most value in my opinion.
Don't forget guys, I unlock a lot of Nissan vehicles every week so if you want to see
more, subscribe to my channel, smash that like button and ask me all your questions
in the comment section below.
If you want to look into my personal life a little bit, follow me on Instagram at CVanWeekend
and I'd be happy to answer any questions you have in the DMs.
Let's take a look at this one.
This is the SV.
So it comes in a few different packages, the S, the SV and the SR is the fully loaded one
which they advertise.
Being the SV, you do get quite a few high end features.
Like I said, there's a ton of value here.
In the Aspen White, you can also do the color configurations that you see on the Nissan
website.
If you want to get one exterior color with a different colored roof, you can do that
when you jump up to the SV.
So that is definitely an advantage of going up to the SV here.
You can see we have Nissan's V-Motion Grope.
A ton of safety features on the Kicks here as well.
In the center, we do have our forward emergency braking.
That's going to come standard.
So a lot of safety features to help keep you and your family safe.
The fog lights are down below.
Let's check out these rims.
The basic package comes with hubcaps.
So when you go up to this middle package, you do get these 17-inch two-tone aluminum
alloy rims.
The front ones are going to be in front of the disc brakes as well and your rear are
going to be drum brakes.
Going to come with these Firestone all-season tires.
No all-wheel drive present on this vehicle, but you do have quite a bit of ground clearance
to help you in the wintertime.
On the rear, there is quite a few features.
We do have our rear parking sensors and our rear backup camera.
That's going to make it easier to park when you're in an urban environment, parallel parking,
things like that.
When I open up the trunk, it is obvious that this Nissan Kicks is targeted towards young
buyers, millennials, people who need a lot of trunk space.
Going to give you 25 cubic feet of cargo area and then I can fold the seats down and that's
going to allow me for 32 cubic feet of cargo capacity.
So when I pop the hood and check out the power plant, that 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine
is under the hood of the Nissan Kicks.
They took that right out of the Nissan Versa Note and put it in the Kicks.
The only thing it lacks is the power capacity.
Going to give you 122 horsepower and 114 pounds-feet of torque.
So accelerating, passing on the highway is not the strong suit of the Kicks.
The strong suit is going to be with the fuel mileage.
For a big hatchback like this, we're going to be at 7.2 combined liters for every 100
kilometers between the city and the highway.
So we've jumped inside the Kicks SV here and I do think this one has the most value.
If it was me purchasing, I would purchase this SV over the S model.
So if you're on the fence, definitely spend the extra money.
You won't regret it.
Some of the features that make it worth it.
You get this nice 7-inch vehicle information screen right behind the wheel here.
It's going to do things like your digital speedometer, show your safety features, your
kilometers to empty, your trip computer, quite a lot of features and it's a very vivid screen
and it doesn't come on the S. The S one looks very old and bland.
You also get the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
So that's going to allow you to do things like your Spotify, your Google Maps, your
Waze where you can use your apps on your phone and they mirror right to the car.
That only comes on the SV and up.
Digital climate control.
It's all digital.
When I turn it on here, I just need to set the temperature just like the thermostat in
your house.
We've kept it off just because it kind of plays around with the sound and gets a little
loud, but it's definitely hot in here.
You don't get the leather seats.
One beef that I have with the car is there's definitely a lack of storage in the center
console for the driver.
There's two cup holders in the front, a small armrest here, but no center console really
to store anything.
But let's take this thing on the road and see what we think here, Kaylee.
So as I mentioned before, there definitely is a lack of power when you drive this thing.
When I put my foot down, that's foot all the way to the floor and you can hear it struggling
and hear it working as hard as it can to get to those acceleration points and to accelerate
quickly.
Accelerating quickly is not a term that goes in line with the Nissan Kicks.
Where this car has its advantages, zipping in and out of parking spots, nice tight turns,
it's really a nice little puddle jumper, and it's really good on fuel, tons of interior
space, but definitely lacks the acceleration when you put your foot down.
So that's a wrap, guys.
Thank you so much for watching the video.
As always, subscribe to my channel because I'll be unlocking more Nissans as they arrive
and I look forward to presenting those for you.
