Hey guys, welcome back to my channel.
Today I wanted to share a healthy breakfast idea.
I'm typically a smoothie person.
I love having smoothies because they're really simple to make
and they're easy to take on the go.
But another one of my favorite quick and simple breakfast ideas
is chia seed pudding.
So today I wanted to share two different variations with you guys.
These are both perfect for fall because they're full of warming spices.
Fall is one of my favorite seasons to cook and bake in.
So you can expect to see a lot of recipes coming up on my channel
in the next few weeks.
But I hope that you guys enjoy this recipe, and let's begin.
So we'll start first with the warm cinnamon protein pudding.
For this you will need 3 tablespoons of chia seeds,
1 cup of non-dairy milk, and for mine I'm using hemp milk,
but you can use whatever you prefer,
a dash of cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of shredded coconut,
2 tablespoons of vanilla protein powder,
and I'm using the Sun Warrior blend,
and 1 mashed banana.
Make sure that you use a spotty ripe banana for this.
The night before you want your chia pudding,
make sure to mix everything together inside of a mason jar
to stick in your fridge overnight.
So I like to add in my dry ingredients first
and then add in the wet ingredients.
The reason why you need to prepare this
the night before you want to have it
is because chia seeds need time to gel.
So they will actually expand,
and you want to do this before you eat them
because if you eat them when they haven't expanded fully,
they expand in your belly and it can be kind of uncomfortable.
Once you've finished adding all of your ingredients,
make sure that the lid is secure
and shake it well to combine all of the ingredients together.
Then the next morning when you're ready to have your pudding,
pour the mixture into a saucepan and warm it on low heat.
And then last, you can add any type of toppings that you prefer.
I added chopped walnuts to mine,
but you can top it with sliced bananas or berries.
You can get really creative with this part.
The next variation is an apple spice chia pudding.
So for this, you will need three tablespoons of chia seeds,
one cup of non-dairy milk,
and for this one I'm using almond milk,
a half teaspoon of vanilla extract,
one-fourth cup of applesauce,
a half a teaspoon of cinnamon,
and a dash of nutmeg.
Just as before, you want to add all of your ingredients
into a mason jar the night before you want to have your chia pudding.
So I add all of my dry ingredients first
and then add in the wet ingredients.
And again, make sure that the lid is on tight
and give it a good shake to mix all of the ingredients
and then pop it in your fridge overnight
to give the chia seeds time to gel and expand.
This time I chose to top mine with dried cranberries and shredded coconut,
but you can add sliced apples or more cinnamon,
any type of toppings that you prefer.
So that is it for this video.
I hope that you guys enjoyed it.
