Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel. Thanks for being here.
Today I wanted to share my pamper routine for a relaxing
night in. I've become a bit more of a homebody this time of year so I wanted
to share a few of my favorite ways I like to spend a relaxing night at
home. For me in the fall there is nothing
better than a cup of warm apple cider and I love making this at home
in my slow cooker. It's really simple and you only need a few ingredients.
Some sliced apples, an orange, a few spices like
cinnamon, a whole nutmeg, cloves, and allspice and you just put everything in
your slow cooker. Pour water on top and let it sit.
Not only does it taste amazing it also makes your house or
apartment like me smell really really really delicious.
And I typically leave mine in my crock pot. If I put it on high
I leave it on for about three hours but if I put it on low I'll leave it for
about six hours.
Now on to my favorite part of the night and that is bath time. And of course you
gotta have lots of candles. I love these from
Diptyque. They are a definite splurge but they last
forever and they smell amazing. And I've been using this pillow mist from
L'Occitane on my robe. It has a lot of essential oils and it
smells so good and relaxing. This is a newer
cleansing balm I've been trying out from LMS and so far it has become
one of my favorites. Not only does it remove my makeup but it has
rose and mimosa waxes. It's anti-aging and it leaves my
combination skin feeling really soft and balanced with no oily residue which I
really appreciate. It also smells like a spa so I like to
give myself a gentle facial massage. It's just
really relaxing especially at night before going to bed.
And just as you would with any other cleansing balm or oil when you add water
it creates kind of a milky texture and I just remove that with a cloth.
If you watched my October favorites video then you heard me rave about this
microdermabrasion. It's a deluxe sample that I got from
Sephora but I'm definitely buying it. It is the best microdermabrasion I've
ever tried. It has tiny crystals that help to
deeply exfoliate your skin and it evens out your texture.
It helps to diminish the pore sizes and my skin
feels so soft and smooth after using this. Even days after I use it I can tell
a difference. My makeup applies more evenly and it
makes your skin so smooth. It's one of those
products that after you use it you can't stop touching
even though you're not you shouldn't touch your face. You can't stop touching
your skin because it feels so soft. After I do a deep exfoliating
treatment I like to use a soothing mask and this one by Andalou
Naturals is perfect for an indulgent night in because it's basically
like you're smearing chocolate syrup on your face.
It's made with cocoa which is full of antioxidants so it's good at
just protecting your skin. It also has avocado which hydrates.
And I always like to do a mask after doing a deep exfoliating
treatment just to help replenish and comfort my skin.
And I just leave this mask on while I'm in the bath and if you like chocolate
you need to try this. I think I've showed this brand of bath salts before but I
always pick up little packets of these when I'm at Whole Foods.
They're full of lots of essential oils and I'm using this relaxing oil from
L'Occitane that also has lots of different
essential oils like lavender which you guys know I love lavender.
And if you really want to go above and beyond and be super
Instagram worthy you can use rose petals in your bath. Now this isn't something
that I do all the time or on a weekly basis but if
you go to Trader Joe's at the right time a lot of times you can find their roses
on sale which is a great time to pick them up to use them for things like this
or potpourri because they're starting to look a
little bit wilty and you may only get a few days out of them in a vase.
When I get out it's time for comfy clothes. Aren't these cute? I got these- I
found these recently from Nordstrom Rack. I thought they were so cute but Mickey
likes to eat the bow which is very annoying because he doesn't do that
with anything else. But about an hour left or when there's an hour left on
your slow cooker I like to take a potato masher and mash
the um what are these apples and oranges and everything together just to kind of
get the juices and it just helps everything come together and taste
amazing. Once you're done with that you can strain it. I like to use a mesh
strainer and then add your sweetener of choice. I
used coconut sugar. You can use maple syrup or honey or whatever you care for
and put a little cinnamon stick if you want to make it look
insta-worthy too and enjoy your cider. I like to go and sit on the couch and
relax with a good book. Right now I'm reading this
Truly Madly Guilty. It's the same author who wrote
Big Little Lies which I've read and I loved and I watched the show and I loved
it too. But yeah I hope that you guys enjoy
this video. Thank you so much for watching
