MAKEUP REVOLUTION ADVENT CALENDAR 2018 _ Eltoria

Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel. So in today's video, I shall be unboxing the Makeup Revolution advent calendar. This advent calendar was so popular with you guys last year. It even sold out super, super early, so I'm excited to see if it's any good and if it's better than last year's. If you want to see exclusive videos, please go follow me on Instagram. If you're wondering how much this one is, it is worth £50. Now on the front of the advent calendar, it came encased in this plastic thing and the contents inside are full size and they are worth £50, so you're not saving any money on this advent calendar, which I think is a shame because I think an advent calendar should be about saving money, but we know it's worth the money. Okay, right, door number one. So in this door, we have a lipstick. So this is the Amazing Lipstick and it's in the colour Swish. It's like a really nice nude colour, a little bit on the cinnamon side. That is like so me, I'm really into these kind of colours. Now it goes onto the skin and lip like a dream actually. It's quite buttery. What I like about Makeup Revolution lipsticks is that they're not too glossy, they're not too matte, they're like in the middle. I'm gonna have to get the products out with a makeup brush again. They're so hard to get out sometimes. So door number two, we just have a little brush here. Does it pass the bristle test? Yep, it does. Some makeup brushes are quite cheaply made, but this one seems pretty sturdy. Door number three looks like an eyeshadow. Oh, it's a highlighter. This was in last year's advent calendar, so it's just this very beautiful baked highlighter in the colour Golden Lights. I have been using this throughout the whole year. I still have my last year's in my makeup bag, but it's just a beautiful shade. Day number four. Okay, so here we have the Ultra Shine Balm. This was in last year's advent calendar. What you can do with this product, you can either pop it on as a base like a primer so that your makeup lasts longer, or you can use it instead of a facial powder so that it absorbs all of the excess oils. Personally, I didn't really get on this product. My skin is quite dry. It didn't really do much, but those of you who have oily skin, this is actually quite good for you. Door number five. All right, so in door number five, we do have another lipstick, but it's a pinker shade. So this is in the shade Affection. It's very similar to the other lipstick that we just saw, but it's like a rosier colour. Yeah, it's quite like a medium tone. Again, it went on really beautifully. Not too silky, not too matte. That colour is actually really cute. So in door number six, we just have another little brush. Again, the bristles are super fab. I love the rose gold. Like, rose gold is my kind of thing. You can definitely use this as a powder brush or just as a blush brush. That's like what I would do. Day number seven. Oh, so in day number seven, we have another highlighter. Now, last year, I remember there being a lot of highlighters in the advent calendar. It seems to be the same this year. So this is a press highlighter, Illuminator in Golden Opportunity. This is definitely my kind of shade. I love to fake tan, and I think that these kind of golden colours suits a fake tan really nicely. The pigmentation of these highlighters are absolutely incredible. Look, it literally glows on my fingertip. It goes on beautifully onto the skin. It's a great affordable highlighter, and they do last a very long time. Door number eight. Oh, okay. I've never seen this before. I think this is definitely new. So this is... What is this? Not seeing this. Oh, it's just a clear lip gloss. So a great addition to the lipsticks that we've just seen. So if you want more of a sheen gloss look, then this is definitely your product. Door number nine, we have another lipstick. Now this looks quite festive actually. So we got this orangey red colour, and this is in the shade Powerful. It does look like a powerful colour. Yeah, wow. It's definitely like an orangey red colour. Oh my gosh, that looks incredible, doesn't it? You kind of like can blush these out a bit. I reckon you could totally use this as a blusher as well. It may sound kind of crazy, but I reckon you can. Day number 10. Oh, we got another baked product. So I'm dropping it on the floor. We have a baked bronzer. So again, a lot of baked products in this advent calendar. I have used this product before, and again, it is beautiful. Especially when you want to go to a party, or if you don't want to highlight, you just want to use like a baked bronzer. This is great. You just pop it onto the cheeks, and you are ready for that party. It's actually called Revolution now. They dropped the makeup bit. So it's actually Revolution Makeup, FYI. Door number 11. Struggling to find door number 11. Is it on the other side? It's on the other side. Okay, they mixed it up a bit. We have another lipstick in this calendar. Now, Revolution have actually done three advent calendars this year. They've done a lip one, which I will be opening on this channel. But this colour, oh, it's beautiful. Very autumnal. So if you're getting your advent calendars early, and you're going to open them early, this is a great autumnal shade. So this is in the colour, what is it? Crush. Day number 12. We are halfway through. Okay, this is a eye primer. Great. We've not received any eyeshadows yet. So I'm hoping that there's going to be eyeshadow in this advent calendar. So it's a very generous size. And I guess the colour of it is quite standard. Yeah, I like a light primer on an eyelid. I find that actually brings out the colour in the eyeshadow a lot better. So you've got a little primer. In day number 12. Could you imagine if there's no eyeshadow in here? I'd be livid. Day number 13. Oh, my fingers. Oh, the advent calendar was listening because we have an eyeshadow palette. This eyeshadow palette is absolutely adorable. So in my last year's advent calendar, we did receive this, and I actually gave it to one of my really good friends, and they absolutely loved it. Honestly, they were like, this is the best thing ever. It's great to go travelling with, or just to pop into your makeup bag. Very autumnal, like a good brown staple palette, I would say. Dawn number 14. Oh, we got another illuminating product. So this is Strobe Balm. Now, I found this really good to pop underneath my eyebrows, just to like really define that curve. But you can use it anywhere, really. I know people pop it onto their cheeks, along their nose, but I specifically use them for my eyebrows. It's not powder. It's like a balm, hence the Strobe Balm name. Yeah. This was in last year's. A lot of products. From last year's calendar in here. Dawn number 15. Oh, is this a mirror? Is it a mirror? I can't get it out. It really does hurt your fingers, this whole advent calendar opening. Oh, it is a mirror. There we go. Got a little mirror. Not gonna lie, I'm feeling a little bit disappointed about the mirror. Let me know if you think that's a bit of a letdown. Not loving that. Day number 16. So this is a baked highlighter called Bronze Light. This is definitely more of like a rose gold colour. I do like a good rose gold. I do. Yeah. Oh, wow. Okay. Day number 17. Ooh! Okay. This colour looks great. Here we have is a gloss and it's the colour called Salt. This colour isn't as intense as the lipstick. So if you're looking for something a little bit, I don't know, on the nuder side, then a good gloss by Revolution is a good point of call. Day number 18. I hate that when you open it and you can't find it. Oh, no. Ah, it's a makeup brush again. Here we go. So we just have a little eye shadow brush again. Bristles are good and I do love the rose gold. Dawn number 19. So in dawn number 19, we do have the pressed highlighter in the colour Blue. It's definitely can be used as a highlighter or as a blusher. The colour of it looks very similar to NARS Orgasm by NARS, but slightly lighter. The pigmentation on that one is quite intense actually. Dawn number 20. Again, I've opened it and nothing's there. I'm guessing this is another makeup brush. Okay, here we go. So we just have a little angled eyebrow brush there. Day number 21. Okay, so we've got another balm of some sort and this is in the colour Twist. It is very similar to the previous strobe balm that we got, but I'd say it was a lot like less iridescent. Iridescent is a word. It does feel so creamy. Look at that. Yeah, very creamy. I definitely wouldn't use this product mixed with powders. So I wouldn't like use a powder on your face and then use this on top because it will definitely curdle on your face, which wouldn't look good. Day number 22. Oh, wow. So this is just illuminating liquid. Okay, so it comes out quite blue actually, like bluey purple. Okay, that is some serious unicorn colours. Door number 23. We're getting near to Christmas. So in door number 23, we just have another lipstick and this is in the shade Embrace. Oh, wow. Okay, like a pinky nude colour. It's hard to say. I'd say it was like a dusky rose. Dusty, dusky, dusty rose. Yeah. Door number 24. Oh, we have a Christmas Eve colour in this door. So this is in the colour Simmer and that is very festive. Okay, we are on the final day, which is door number 25. It's quite a big door. I reckon this is going to be like a big palette of some sort. Whoa, okay. This door is pretty incredible. Yeah. Wow. Okay, this is like autumn and winter, definitely in one. So this is the Reloaded palette and you've got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 15 colours on this palette. So you've got lots of golden colours, burgundy, brown. We've even got like a nice creamy whitey shade. Good for highlighting. That's a good door number 25. So that is everything inside the Makeup Revolution advent calendar. So that was £50 for 25 days. That is actually really good value for money. The thing I would say that it was a critique that I had last year. There was a lot of baked and highlighter products. Like even though I absolutely love baked and highlighter products, I would have like seen like a mascara or something in there. I think that's definitely missing and maybe some like lip liners. Yeah, definitely. I'd take out some baked highlighters for a mascara and some lip liners. So don't forget that my advent calendar series has now started.
