Playa Puerto Nuevo - This beach also known as Balneario de Vega Baja, and it’s the perfect place to spend a fun day with family and friends. Characterized by its beautiful golden sand, and a shallow pool where kids can swim and play, this beach is unique. There is a large limestone wall that protects the pool from waves and gives the beach a beautiful shape. This beach has been awarded the blue flag for clean waters for 2021!
On this beach, we had an amazing encounter with some sea creatures, what an incredible experience!

Los Tubos Beach in Manatí:
Los Tubos Beach has a beautiful long coastline where you can have a stroll and enjoy a nice evening. Because of the strong currents it’s excellent for surfing. Los Tubos is not a swimming beach, but it’s a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the view.

Mar Chiquita, Manatí:
Located in the north coast, Mar Chiquita is one of the most popular natural pools in Puerto Rico. The beach is shaped like a huge shell or a half-moon, giving this place very distinctive scenery.
Today we're at the Playa Puerto Nuevo in Vega Baja. This beach is a certified blue flag beach
which means that the water is really clean and it's a balneario which means that it has a parking
lot and restrooms and you only have to pay like a couple bucks to park here. This is a really fun
place to bring your family because there's a little like kiddie pool area with rocks where
there's a little um call it a pozo like a like a pool where kids can can swim and there's also
apparently there are sea turtles here so that's what I'm going to look for today. I downloaded
a benthic map to see like where the sea seagrass grows so I'm going to try to find sea turtles
based on that. Today's adventure begins with a 45-minute drive to the northwest of Puerto Rico
to the town of Vega Baja. There our first stop will be the Balneario Puerto Nuevo.
This beach is also known as the Balneario de Vega Baja
and it's the perfect place to spend a fun day with family and friends.
This beach is a balneario which means that it is constantly being monitored by the board of
and it has been awarded the blue flag for clean waters for 2021.
Characterized by its beautiful golden sand and a shallow pool where kids can swim and play
this beach is very unique. There's a large limestone wall that protects the pool from
waves and gives the beach a beautiful shade. This side of the beach is more active. Want to
play on the sand? This beach has you covered because it has a beach volleyball net and the
also the ocean is full of wonder and life. If you have your own snorkeling gear be sure to bring it.
You may also be able to find kayak and snorkeling rentals.
We even had an encounter with two beautiful young green sea turtles. Please remember do not bother
or touch my animals and wear them from a distance so you don't disturb their eating or breathing
and enjoy the unique experience of sharing nature with these magnificent creatures.
This is a must-see beach on the island. If you are from Puerto Rico or just visiting
take time and come to this beach and you will have a truly memorable experience.
Now we're driving 10 minutes west to Los Tubos beach in Manatee but first
Bacaleitos are a delicious savory snack made of a deep fried cod fish batter.
Very popular in Puerto Rico. If you haven't tried one before do it you will not regret it.
Right now we're in Los Tubos beach in Manatee. This is a really fun beach to come and look at
with children because there are these huge sculptures of sea creatures here. There's a
giant turtle slide, there are two giant manatees, there's a shark and lots of other sculptures
to one side and then to the other side there's a long beach you can walk along and it seems like
the surf is really strong so maybe this is a surfing beach and not necessarily one where you
would want to swim. At least not right now you can see behind me what the surf looks like.
It would definitely be very dangerous to go in the water but this is a very nice place to go
for a walk and also there are a lot of picnic tables where you can have a little picnic.
Los Tubos beach has a beautiful long coastline where you can have a stroll and enjoy a nice
evening. Because of the strong currents it's excellent for surfing. Los Tubos is not a
swimming beach but it's a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the view. This beach has a secret.
There are some petroglyphs hidden on the rocks along the shoreline and sometimes they can be
seen when it's low tide and the water is very clear. If you are lucky to catch them you're in
for a treat. Now seven minutes from Los Tubos we arrive at Marchiquita in Manatee. About 15 minutes
west of the Balneario de Vega Baja you come to another beach in Manatee called Marchiquita.
That's very famous because it has this really beautiful crescent and that beach is very windy
so I don't know if it's safe to snorkel or swim in the winter but I think in the summer people
swim there. Located on the north coast Marchiquita is one of the most popular natural pools in Puerto
Rico. The beach is shaped like a huge shell or half moon giving this place very distinctive scenery.
If you love the sun this is the beach for you. There is not much shade so be advised and bring
your own sun protection. Filled with music food and a vibrant ambience this beach is an amazing
place to go and party or swim. In the summer you can swim in the crystal clear water and bob in
the waves. Just take note not to swim near the center of the crescent because the currents can
be quite strong especially in the winter. Now it's time to go back home but what an amazing day we
had. I hope you enjoyed these three wonderful beaches and if you did please consider liking
this video, subscribing to our channel and leaving us a comment. Until next time thanks for watching!
