We Moved To Seattle!! And Fun New Plans For Broughington

Hey guys, so it's been a while since I've sat down like this in front of the camera and I'm just I'm really excited to be back in front of the camera which some people may think is like totally weird but I love it. Anyway, so this is mostly an update video for those of you who have been like is she in Europe? Is she at home? If you're following my Instagram you know that I'm in Seattle but then I'm posting videos of us in Europe so I'm here to just clear all that So first of all, Zach finished school last April and then Porter finished school in May so we had all of June, July, and August and then plus kind of like since Zach wasn't in work in May that's kind of like four months so we had like four months of summer and in the middle of that a lot happened. One main thing, we went to Europe. We took all three kids to Europe for an entire month and it was amazing and those are the videos that I'm posting uh semi-regularly right now. So yeah, I'm having a really great time going through that footage and reliving our trip because it was so fun and so worth it but then also after Europe we moved to Seattle Wait, hold on. Back up. Before Europe, we went house hunting. Okay y'all, we're here in Seattle. Alright guys, so we just saw this really cute house. It's in like South Seattle. It was so cute on the inside. The neighborhood is not picture perfect. The tub is like way far from all the bedrooms. So yeah, we don't know but it's really really cute. This is a roller coaster. We see a found house. We can imagine ourselves in it. We meet the neighbors. Everything looks great but this or that and then we go to another house and it's crappy and it's too expensive and all these different emotions are happening and it's super crazy but it's really fun. What I'm looking for in a home is lots of windows. I'd love a fireplace. I would love hardwood floors and also just like a nice kitchen where we can gather together because we like to gather as a family in the kitchen. So we'll see. Right now we are on our way to a house in like North Magnolia. It's pretty far up there but the neighborhood is so cute. There's like a lot of kids around. We actually moved this appointment. We called him up right now because we're really excited about this Magnolia house. So we called him up and changed our appointment from tomorrow to today. We don't want anyone to sneak it out from under us. So we're going to go see Bruce's house right now. Kara would be in here making stuff. I could be painting. I would be playing with Legos right there. Bo would be putting something in his mouth. Okay guys this is it. We have made a decision and that decision is... You say it. The Magnolia house. We've chosen the Magnolia house. Zach is just finishing up the application and we're going to send that in ASAP so that we can just like sign it and be done and no one can steal it from us. We are so happy that this is done because this has been on our mind for months and months ever since we knew we were going to be moving to Seattle. We've been looking on all the rental apps looking at houses that are in the area and just trying to figure out what we wanted and what was available and this is seriously just the best. I'm so super excited. So we found this amazing house and we're just renting it but honestly any kind of house hunting whether you're looking to buy or to rent is just so ridiculous out here in Seattle because the market is crazy. People are paying like ridiculous amounts of money for housing and we feel really lucky and we're like really blessed to be in this house. So yeah we found this house. It was in the neighborhood we wanted. It is the perfect size. There's a backyard. There's a front yard. There's views. It is amazing and the schools are really great too. We got both of the kids. Porter's in first grade and Piper's in preschool. We found a preschool for Piper which was a whole trip on its own and Porter's really liking his school. So we've been here since the beginning of July and I haven't been doing normal vlog videos because I've been doing our Europe trip videos. I've had a really hard time getting used to the lifestyle here. Just moving in. Getting things settled and honestly just because it was in the summer we were so relaxed and the kids were here like all day long with me and so we were constantly out and about doing things and just getting settled. So I feel like I'm finally like buckling down. Oh okay I'm back and I am starving. We just did doctor's appointments with the two little ones. It was a crazy visit. I'll just say that. So we're here in Seattle now and it's amazing and we love it and I'm going to make a different video of this um hopefully up on Friday but I am done. Well maybe I won't say anything. Watch the video on Friday and I'll let me know what you guys think about this idea of self-sabotage because I've been self-sabotaging myself and I'm done. So anyway this is just a welcome back to me video. I am dedicated to posting more regularly meaning I'm going to try and post three days a week. Sometimes I feel like I have to give myself an a crazy a crazy goal in order to even like buy into it at all. So I'm trying to do Monday travel vlog, Wednesday life vlog, and then Friday will be something a little bit different every time. So I'm really looking forward to it. I hope you guys can come along for the ride. I'm really excited to share Seattle with you guys because it's so great. I feel like everybody just when they think of Seattle they think of rain and gloom and sad. It's not. Let me just show you what it's like outside right now. It is so beautiful. Look at this gorgeous day. It's so beautiful. Sun is out. You can normally see the mountains and the downtown area of Bellevue which is like kind of far away so it's kind of interesting. But yeah like it's so gorgeous and this is how it is from like July maybe some like June through September and sometimes through October. October is kind of like an iffy. Everyone says October is kind of iffy as far as the weather but so far so good. We really love it here. My stupid tripod is like totally dead to me. It doesn't want to stick anymore. It's one of those like bendy ones. Anyway all right that's it for today. Whoa dang it. My coke's all mixed up. That's it for today. Tune in during the week.
