Flying high above CAPPADOCIA, TURKEY! _ Travel Vlog.
Alright, we just landed, we're at Kayseri Airport and for our specific one is Helios.
And so we just pre-booked with them online and I think it's 30 Turkish Lira, which I
think translates to, so they're going to take us to our hostel and then we'll go from there.
Just checked in to the Shoestring, Shoestring Cave hostel, hotel and hostel.
It's been a whole day of traveling so we're going to go try to find something to eat and
just kind of explore a little.
We finally woke up and we already started our day here in Gorem.
We woke up to this cave hotel and if you look around, it's like fully in a cave.
You see like all of it's like part of the chimneys and everything and it's been really
awesome.
They even have an all-you-can-eat buffet, breakfast buffet.
So we ate up at the top, had our breakfast already and so that's the good news but the
bad news is that the weather has not been that good here in this area.
So they didn't have any hot air balloons yesterday and I think they may not have any running
for another week.
So considering we went all the way here to do the one thing that they're not going to
have, I think we're going to talk about it and see what we're going to do but we've already
got plans to do Istanbul with Airbnbs and everything.
So we'll see how it goes, I'll let you guys know in a second.
Okay, we're not losing hope.
So we've been kind of shopping around and it looks like everyone's kind of speaking
for their own agency or company.
So some people are giving us different answers.
So we're going around trying to find all of the hot air balloon companies and just going
around trying to see if we can get our names on a list and get on a balloon.
I want to get on a balloon!
We got super lucky.
Found one company who is going to fly tomorrow night and we were so lucky that four people
called in sick and the three of us happened to come in 10 minutes after they called and
got their spots.
So for about €175 per person, we're going to be going on a balloon tour tomorrow.
So hopefully the weather lets us do it tomorrow.
But hopefully we're good to go.
Alright so we made it to the open air museum and it costs about 45 lira per person and
then 15 for the audio guide.
So we're splitting two.
Remember to bring your own headphones so you can just share.
But we're inside the open air museum and you can already see all of the caves.
This is so cool!
Making track on the side of the road.
And now up on the mountain to see what we're going to find.
This is so cool though!
They texted us over whatsapp letting us confirm three people, 540 at the shoestring cave house.
So we're awake, ready to get picked up.
Hopefully they'll come soon.
It's here!
The city lights, you're falling in love.
Still aware, you know it is true.
That you were lost and this is a clue.
Love is forever, love is forever.
It's awesome to see all of the hot air balloons starting to take flight.
Light as feathers, we're dreaming over Tokyo.
Love is forever, love is forever.
It's absolutely epic.
From every single corner of this huge valley there are balloons being lit up and flying off.
It's already worth the money.
Love is forever, love is forever.
We just finished the hot air balloons and that was awesome!
Except we are non-stop because today we're also doing the green tour.
So we have to check out by 10, pack all our stuff and then do the green tour today from 10 to 6 o'clock.
So right now I'm walking up to their breakfast area so I'll grab some breakfast and do all that.
Alright fast forward, we're already on the green tour.
We already took a nap on the bus and we're still exhausted because obviously we blowed those balloons.
But anyway, we're going into an underground city called Derinkyu.
It should be very cool, it's the deepest city that's available for tourists to go under.
And you're going to go about, I think they said 80 meters deep.
So that would be really crazy.
They gave a warning that people who have asthma, hello!
If you have any problems, just raise your hand so they can let you go up.
And also if you're having any issues and you find out that you're claustrophobic, just let them know.
So this should be really cool.
Hopefully they let me bring in my camera.
If not, we'll see.
Because I'm short apparently.
Today we were up in the sky and now deep in the ground.
We're in Elara Valley which is another area of settlement from the Christians who were fleeing from Roman Catholic rule.
And so our tour guide is teaching us about all of the little areas and ways that they use this land for their city.
City? Settlement? Settlement? Maybe it's called a settlement.
What's this?
Turkish buses.
Today has been a trip, or actually just the last two days have been a trip.
From finally arriving, finding out they've been cancelling hot air balloons
to people waiting around trying to get onto the next hot air balloon.
What else?
Us walking around trying to find a hot air balloon company that might have room.
When we finally walked in 10 minutes after people cancelled, we got on a balloon, we got our green tour.
And we even stressed out because we didn't think we were going to get this bus that was going to take us to Istanbul.
So it has been a crazy 48 hours.
And then getting to see one of the most stunning and most beautiful sights ever.
You can definitely see why Cappadocia is one of most people's bucket list items and it was beautiful.
Now I'm going to pass out. Hopefully this is going to be a 10 hour bus.
I'm so tired and exhausted and then hopefully we'll wake up into a new beautiful city which is Istanbul.
So I'll see you guys in the next video.
Can you still work?
Oh it got that whole thing!
Yeah!
