Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. We got a great solo adventure going on this week. We're uh,
don't look at me. Look at the camera. We're out here all alone. We're completely solo
and we are uh gonna be having a great time out here deep in the woods all by ourselves. Very
good. Yeah, it should be a good one. It's supposed to be a spooky time out here because the sun's
setting a lot earlier. You're all alone. Yeah, it's very spooky out here. You're so scared.
More scared. Even more scared. It's a bear. Squirrel. Birds. More scared. Yes, we got it.
Oh yeah, we got it? You're a genius. Right on. Thank you, Gustavo. They'll never know. I know,
right? Suckers. So I gotta come clean with you guys. Every time I say I'm doing a solo trip,
I actually bring a full-size human with me. Gustavo, uh, say hi. Oh, Gustavo, come on man.
See, this is why we don't show Gustavo on camera. It's because he's very inappropriate and that's
the last time you'll ever see him. You guys might ask me why I don't just use a tripod and why I
bring a full-size human and all his gear to create the illusion of being solo. Gustavo doesn't need
any gear. When I'm done my food at the end of the day, I just give him my scraps. Gustavo doesn't
need a tent. He just sleeps outside the tent on the ground. Sometimes I get him to keep guard
when I'm in bear territory, which is great. So he's quite handy and I just want to say I'm sorry.
I'm, uh, I'm sorry that I've created this illusion of being solo out here because I don't want to
trick you guys anymore. So every time I say I'm solo, Gustavo's here with me and it's not, in
fact, just a tripod. So just keep that in mind as we have a little bit of a paddle going and then,
uh, find a nice place to camp. That should do. So I don't have any birds today and I'm not gonna
use my ferro rod, but a great way to start a fire with a lighter is grabbing all this tiny little
kindling off some sort of coniferous tree. I think this is a pine tree. Get a nice little tinder bundle
like this. Really, really fine stuff. Make yourself a nice tinder bundle and just take the lighter to it.
It's cold. Dinner time. Sausages, brussel sprouts, and just rice. Olive oil, salt,
pepper. I also brought out sauerkraut and honey mustard. So a couple months ago I did a review on
Phoenix's flashlight, the LR50R, and I said, Phoenix, what's up, man? Is that 12,000 lumens
all you got? And they came back to me. They're like, no, we came out with an 18,000 lumen
flashlight. You guys, you want to give it a review? So I said, all right, and here it is.
But like the LR50R, this thing is super well built. It's super heavy though, but it's waterproof.
You can charge other devices off of it. It's 18,000 lumens. Other than for search and rescue,
I can see this thing being useful in your boat or in your car, maybe at home. Or if you're like me
and you just like bright, flashy, expensive toys, you can show off to your friends and the LR50R
just wasn't enough, the LR80R might be for you. I know what you're thinking. And the answer is,
yes, I will continue to strap flashlights to my head as long as I keep getting bigger and brighter
ones. It's really cold. It's really cold. I slipped in. It did dip below zero last night.
There's ice in this. Not much, but a little. Three eggs. All right, guys, I got Tabasco sauce
and I got maple syrup. Vote down below which one you think I should put on these sandwiches.
You think this is some sort of democracy? You think you can vote? No, this is a tyranny.
We're doing both, of course. Yeah, we're doing both. So that's it for me. Quick little one-nighter
out here on this beautiful lake. Seasons are changing and you can tell because it did below
zero last night for the first time this year and it's only going to get colder, but that's not
going to stop me from getting out. Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed that one as much as I did. Thanks
for watching. Have a great day. Okay, we got the shot. You can come back now. I think he's coming
back every time. Stay here, Gustavo. I take shot. I come back for you. Never come back. Now Gustavo
has to walk five, ten days to get home. Oh, every time.
