I decided to explore Madrid in 36 hours without knowing anything about it. It's safe to say I'd be the worst tour guide in the world. Still, Madrid was cool though... plus I got the chance to see Real Madrid!

ABOUT:
Travel has changed my life and I have no plans on stopping any time soon.
That's why I am now running this video blog showing you how to travel the world continuously
FAQ:
How did you learn to edit? I taught myself. I downloaded Premiere Pro and began to figure out how to use it through trial and error. My videos were pretty bad at first but eventually, and with the help of many tutorials, you start to figure out what works.
What work are you doing? I started off running this video blog while doing freelance web design and video editing to supplement my travelling lifestyle. I now rely solely on this blog to generate revenue through advertising, affiliate links and sponsorship opportunities.
How do you meet the people in your videos? Hostels, guesthouses and conversations! You meet people so easily while travelling. Just open yourself up and you will meet all sorts of amazing people. ' Where do you live? Right now, I travel the world continuously and so do not have a permanent base or home anywhere. I am not sure how long this is going to be the situation but right now I just want to keep travelling.
Any more questions, please post in the comments below!
Hello
Good evening, I'm starting this video at a very weird time, but I've got a good reason for that
I've just arrived to Madrid, just got off the bus from the last video and
I need to go and check into the hostel now, but then I'll tell you what I'm doing tonight
Okay, I think this is it
Mad for you hostel. Check this out
this is my room, got a shower and
Look at that
Come here and TV
Single bed. I've got this place for the next two nights
Mad for you hostel in Madrid and I'm gonna explore from here, take you all around Madrid and that's what this video is gonna be about
I'll tell you why I'm so excited about tonight. But first I need a shower
That
Was a little bit of a hostel
I don't know. It looks really nice. I'll show you more tomorrow, but so far it looks pretty good
The reason I'm so excited is because I just got tickets to Real Madrid tonight
I don't know who's a football fan watching, but I've always wanted to get to the Bernabeu
I've always wanted to see Real Madrid play and
Never have
So yeah, I'm gonna go tonight. It's kind of a spur-of-the-moment thing. I was on the bus, the bus had Wi-Fi and
Real Madrid are playing tonight. I found some cheap tickets and
Now I'm going
I don't know if you can tell but I'm pretty excited about this
I only got these tickets today and I got them second-hand off Viagogo. Apparently they're good tickets
Yeah, this is cool I had no idea I was doing this. Let's find the way in
Hello
Okay, I think this is me. Here we go
Nice
Just got in here, it's a giant thing
That's my seat. I'm the second row from the back. I could only be further away from the pitch if I was one row back
So it's cool to be here
Half-time, Real Madrid are 1-0 up. So far completely happy I came
Right, the match is over. Real Madrid won 3-0. Whether you love or hate football or just don't care
It's one of the most iconic things to do and a great start to Madrid
So now I just need to go back to the hostel
Good morning again. I just had quite a nice breakfast actually in the hostel. It's behind me there somewhere and
Yeah, I'm gonna go explore Madrid again today. I've got a really loose plan
I want to see as much as possible in one day in Madrid, but also just make it really chilled
So I'm just gonna walk around and see what I can find
Okay, so it's about 20 minute walk to my first stop this way
So this is Plaza Mayor, the number one thing to do here on TripAdvisor and I know nothing about it
Well, I just got a coffee and it turns out this is Puerto del Sol, not Plaza Mayor
Plaza Mayor is around the corner. So completely forget what I just said and now I'm gonna go there
But this is another famous square that people come to
Good thing I got on the Wi-Fi, otherwise I would have been talking rubbish
By the way, they offer a lot of free walking tours here
I thought about joining one and then you get loads of history about the area
But for what I'm doing today, I need to stop and take photos and videos and stuff
So it wouldn't be good for me
But if you're here take a free walking tour and you just choose to pay a tip at the end
This looks more like the photos I've seen. Yeah, this is Plaza Mayor
Again I didn't really find much more information about it other than it's a big central square in Madrid
I'm sure it does have a lot of history
But it's mainly just a tourist attraction now
I just spent the last 15 minutes in that little alleyway here
Trying to get a photo, but I'm pretty happy with it. Check it out
Anyway, now I'm gonna walk to the next place. There's a park I want to go visit which means I have to go that way
That's a nice touch there. You can see the big sign saying refugees welcome
It's nice in the world we're living in at the moment. It's nice to see that
Anyway, I'm gonna go to the park
So this is Parque de El Retiro
and I know my pronunciation is awful by the way, but this is one of the biggest parks in Madrid and
There's a very specific thing I want to see here
Is basically what I wanted to see here
I didn't actually know its name. I just saw a picture of it and thought it looked
interesting
so
Job done. I think I'd be the worst tour guide ever
Just point at things and say that's cool
I like...
birds
I like swans
Well, this looks like it should also be famous
Palacio Cristo or Crystal Palace
It's a 19th century building, but there's a modern art exhibition in there right now
Just loads of sounds going on of breaking glass and ice thawing to give the illusion that the glass is breaking above you
So yeah, it's quite interesting
Fortunately, I wasn't allowed to film in there. That's why I'm telling you about it now
But the security guard told me I can't film
I think I'm done for now
I'm gonna start walking back and see what I decide. Start walking back towards the hostel
Just stumbled on this little market on the way back. Mercado de San Miguel, which looks nice, but crazy expensive
It's one euro for one olive
I'd rather eat in the hostel
Back in the hostel now and just checked into a dorm so I can show you guys that as well
Yeah, it seems nice too. Thank you to Mad4U hostel for setting all this up. I only took about
15 minutes walk from where I was to get back here. So it's pretty central as well
I haven't got any public transport today. I've just been walking around
But now I'm gonna chill out for a few hours. I'm gonna go out later tonight again
But for now, I'm just gonna relax in the dorm
And the last thing I'm doing in Madrid is I'm going to meet one of you guys
Someone reached out on Instagram and said they live in Madrid. That's really loud
And said that they live in Madrid and would you be up for meeting for a drink?
So I'm going to meet them now and this is Javier. Hey man. Nice to meet you, dude
Quick cheers
Nice
Really cool way to finish the last two days in Madrid. Back at Mad4U hostel now
Thank you to them. Check them out if you're in Madrid. Next up will be Marrakesh
Thank you for watching and this is my life
