All right, stinky tofu. I believe it's just been fermented for a long time. Let's see. Hey guys, I'm Ross. And I'm Bec. And we're standing out the front of Taman Kenaut Market. Now we're pretty pumped because this is a night market where lots of people are coming in, eating street food and there's a really good buzz through here. It's out of the center of KL just a little bit. They have oyster omelets and stinky tofu. So we're going to check that out too. There's heaps of us. I'll try it out. I'm the guinea pig. There's loads of other foods in here too. So we're going to try out a stack of stuff. Hope you guys enjoy it. We're going to start walking you through the market right now. Bye guys. So that took quite a while. He just made, I think about 50 omelets in, I don't know, like maybe 20 minutes, something like that. It was pretty impressive. Anyway, he layers on this eggy mess onto the cooking surface and then he whacks on another five or six eggs on the top and just mixes it all up. And you get this really wet eggy mess mixture. And then he dollops on, I don't know, maybe 30 or 40 oysters onto there and just spreads them all evenly around, lets it cook for a while. And I'm just dying to tuck in. Anyway, let's do this. It's not dense and dry, but it's not like liquidy. Yeah, it's just somewhere in the middle. It's really good. Nice and wet. And yeah, these big chunks of oyster in here. For those that don't know what oyster tastes like, it tastes like the sea. There was one time a few years ago, I ate just over a hundred oysters in one sitting. And well, yeah, the next day was interesting. But anyway, it was good fun. But this... So he just lets it cook away for a bit. You get that real sort of crispy outside, really wet and soft on the inside. A generous portion of oysters in here. So look, it's just lots of fresh ingredients. I did see a little bit of garlic, some spring onions in there. Oh, it's so good. There's actually cheese in there too, for sure. But that is such a good treat. If you like oysters, try this. Don't just eat them out the shell. Come here and try this. This is a fry or stick. Couldn't resist stopping here. The look of these things, they look awfully familiar. I'm going to pepper one and see what it tastes like. Off to the side here, guys, and eat this. Now, a spicy pepper mushroom. Now, it is an oyster mushroom, but it looks so different to the oyster mushrooms I'm used to buying. Let's try. Really meaty. I do love abalone. This guy just said it does taste like abalone and it's not far off. What is this? Smelly tofu. All right. And does it taste good or? There's only one way to know, and that's to try it. From a smell, not sure I want to, but let's do it. Let's do it. All right. Wow. Looks good. Oh, wow. Mayonnaise, cheese and chili. And a very stinky tofu. I know that is already the case. Thank you so much. All right. Let's go eat this and see what I have. That smells so bad, guys. All right. I was a bit busy to disseminate what I've just ordered. I'm not going to say it's like the smelly. It's not like walking through a fish market, but that smell is pretty strong. Now, they gave us two sticks back and you know what that means? All right. I'll throw one stick away and I have one stick left, which means how am I supposed... I can't get all of that in my mouth in one go. I've never had this before, so let's try it out. All right. Stinky tofu. I believe it's just been fermented for a long time. Let's see. Right. So texture wise, I don't actually mind it. I have heard of some people saying the texture is gross. So texture, okay. But I like bean curd and different versions of tofu. All good. The taste is the way it smells. And I can't explain it, but at one point there, I opened my mouth and I could kind of breathe back in this smell. And it was just an assault of my senses. Without overdoing this, guys, try it because I don't want to be offensive. A lot of people do really love this. I swear the cheese and the chili and the mayonnaise saved this from being not that enjoyable. Let's move on. I want to take you to something that I do love. Jelly. He's such a cool little surprise. I don't know why we don't... Can you see the little straw and all the bits going up in the straw? Yeah. All right. That's really refreshing. That's awesome. I'm in love.
