Ciao!
Are you helping me today?
Are you getting bored?
What are you doing?
I'm doing my homework
It's better to do the trunk than the homework
So, if you didn't understand
Today we are creating a very funny restyling
In country style
On this trunk
Using a color that I chose pink
Love
Why don't we do it red?
The important thing for me
Is that there is a style
So I would like it to be in country style
We will start, however, not in red
We will start with the clear sand
Because it is easier to cover the white with red
Than to cover the red with white
Right?
Yes
Ok, let's start
We will start by spreading a hand of clear sand
A beautiful ivory
It is pure
With a brush of 50
Emma and I
Rosa uses a brush of 30
We hold it
And the brush goes crossed
And the last pass on the trunk
How does it go?
In length
Let's go
I do the top and back
Do you do the front part?
Yes
It is a great responsibility
Because it is the part that is seen the most
I want to show you how the clear sand covers
Because this color is crazy
It is true, it is one of the most sold magic paint colors
It may be because I love it so much
And I always show it to you in all the tutorials
But look at the coverage
Of a single hand
On a painted brown
So dark
On this trunk we simply made ABBA
It is a trunk that we recovered in a house
And it had a fabric underneath
But they painted it with this enamel
Which unfortunately no longer comes
And then save the fabric underneath
It is really impossible
So we decided to recolor it
Very good
Do you see how it covers well?
Now we will spread the first hand on the entire surface
And then we'll see how to behave with the others
We obviously go on iron
And on varnished fabric
With the same brush
With the same varnish
But now you know magic paint well
And you know perfectly
That it is a product to cover any type of surface
The burrs are very nice
Now that they are lighter
I like it a lot
And voila
We continue to spread our clear sand
On the entire surface
One thing you have to be very careful about
With all these
Moldings
All these iron bolts
It is really easy to glue
We don't like gluing
It is beautiful
The effect of the fabric
Now that it is colored white
Because you can really see
The fabric underneath
And it is beautiful
And voila
The first hand dry
And I start with the second hand
An unhealthy reasoning
Has led me and Emma
To complicate our lives
And we decided to make some lines
Imperfect
On a curved trunk
That has more than just sticks
It is not an easy or advisable thing
But beautiful
So if you want to complicate your life like us
Do it
Now we show you the last piece
Because we have already
Let's say
Perfection in all this initial part
Of our trunk
We keep the sides in full color
There will be a decap in the points that are not very precise
Because a curved trunk cannot be precise
But we show you
With what logic we apply the distance
Between one line and the other
Behind you have already put a
A spacing
So we between one line and the other
We make it spaced exactly like the tape
So we use the tape to make a centimeter
So as not to measure
If you do not want to use this technique
But you just want to draw some lines
Do it, but on a curved trunk it is almost impossible
I use a soft spatula
To make the tape adhere well
Between one strip and the other
Of wood
As I told you before
We do not want absolute perfection
Because to make a decap
We want something that looks like handmade
And I assure you that this seems handmade
And voila
You see with our spatula
We make our paper adhere as much as possible
And voila
And we continue on the whole surface
Going as precisely as possible
Near
Here I want to go
At the edge of the iron
And I continue
I still make two lines here
With a divider
And I finished the front part
One last step before putting the color
You have to make sure that the lines
Are as precise as possible
Even if there will be some gluing defects
We know because the trunk is round
But let's go
A brushstroke with the background color
On the tape
As you can see Emma and Rosa are taking some clear sand
And they are passing all over the paper
In this way
It will be sealed
And the love will not be able to go under
The tape, so it will not glue
And it will be as precise as possible
You can see very well
Where it has passed and where it has not passed
You see for example here it has passed and here it still has to touch
When it will come from the front
It will see this point where it was missing
But it is very important to go well in the hollows
In the finishes
In order to be as precise as possible
Let's start spreading
Our love by tapping
I use a pointed brush
And you? An Elisabeth
His beloved Elisabeth
Emma just wants to use Elisabeth
You can go well inside the finishes
But also with Elisabeth
You can go well inside
It is a very soft brushstroke
Very covering
What is important
Since you only have to do one stroke
With a single hand of love
I load my brush
Remember that love has a completely different density
From all the other Magic Paint colors
In fact it is really dense
It is a wonderful mousse
It changes a little shade
If you give me straight
When you do this work here
On surfaces not really precise
Like mine today
Maybe as well as painting in this way
So brushing
When you get to the edges
Stick as if you were doing a stencil
In this way it will be even more precise
And it will not slip
Even if maybe in some points
You were not so precise with the paper
And it will have a spectacular coverage
So with a single hand I cover everything
I continue
I do all the upper part of the bowl
And then we move on to the next techniques
Even if it should not be very precise
We do not worry
Because it will have decaf
So we do not worry about this
Also because making it perfect
With this shape is quite difficult
But start removing Emma
I wait for you
Very good
You can remove some pieces of scotch tape
Because we have crushed it a lot
And now I start from this side
And I start removing from here
So if you have traced a lot
It may be that the scotch tape
It is a little cracked
If at some point
You have any smudging that bothers you
When dry
Just take the brush again
With the light color
And go touch
Otherwise you expect decaf
It is very particular
The fact that we have the lid
It is round
With this line
I like it a lot
Tell me also you
That this bowl does not have many connotations
It could be perfect for a room
For children
For a circus
For a balmy establishment
Tell me you do not remember this
And instead no
We will use it for another purpose
We will remove a little
And bring out a little wood
And a little of the underlying color
It makes more vintage
So, sander
Because I put less
150 paper
Let's go
Enough to empty our trunk
Indeed second
Because the first one was for decaf
I put on myself
My protective
It has a bit of walnut color
But I will not use it pure
Because I do not want to cover these wonderful lines
I lighten it
And I make it become a vintage
So
I open my jar
Already started
I have almost half
And I add
Satin protective
Transparent
Then I also add a little water
Because I want it a little more fluid
Actually this satin protective
It already has a drop of water inside
Et voila
Thank you
A little water
You know I go a lot of feeling
Because the important thing is that it is more fluid
I pour a little in a bowl
So at least I can spread it better
Since I will use a fairly large brush
An Elizabeth Big
It is an extremely soft brush
In this way
I'm not going to cover my lines too much
Thank you
You should also give me a wet cloth
Thank you
Et voila
I load my color
I download
And I leave
You see that the effect is immediately
Very very vintage
And antique
The red is always red
The white is very
Antiquated
And the vintage effect assured
Because it makes the antique
Made with decaf
And you mix the chosen shades
We also put even more relief
The plot of this trunk that goes under this
Light fabric that now we see in this point
For example a little zigrinata
And the fact that I'm passing this
Tint protective
Helps to highlight everything that was under
And I continue
On the whole trunk
Both in the part with the lines
And in the side part
That I got specifically clear
To decorate my trunk
I will use a simple method
Why?
Because I have a crooked trunk
So it's not flat
And making extensions could be a bit complicated
Yes, I could put a transfer
But I also have the print that I'm going to do
So I will use the prints of Redesign
And this specific
It's called Botanical Encyclopedia
It's very nice because it has some sentences
That remember in a way a little
Antiquated, in fact they are not really perfect
And on this base
Not really perfect, they will be even more imperfect
Remember an ad
Of a
Let's say a glassware
An advertising poster
Of a shop of flowers a little vintage
I like it very much
I will go, however, to arrange
The various writings
According to my taste
So as I go on with the project
I decide how to put them
I use for the writings the Parisian nudes
You know that our vintage black is very beautiful
It is important to have a roll
A tray to download
At most the color
If you can, download
Still a little bit on a piece of cardboard
After that
I have already applied on mine
Plastic
Which is also
Facilitated this work
Because you see that there are all centimeters
The writings
It's just easy, easy, easy
Apply the writings in a very precise way
And so I was able to space
In the best way the writings
Do not abound
Because it is not necessary
I take
My writing
And place it here
You see how easy it is
Thanks to the fact that there are all these centimeters
Designed
Above the plastic
I help myself with a dry rag
To slide
At best
The writings on the base
I press so they can
Enter well, well, well
In the surface
Well, well, well, well
Then I go here in the part below
And I also stick the last writing
I go here too
And now I take it off
And voila!
It must look like an old trunk
That has on it
Advertisements of an old flower shop
I continue with the other prints
I use the writing
Plants
And I put it in this point
In the center
So that
It is the focus of my
Trunk
And voila!
Last
We put some wheels
They are old wheels
That give a very country style
Industrial
At the base
I created a support
To lengthen this part
In which the wheels will be positioned
And I'm going to fix them
Ok
The first
I put the other three wheels
We go out, we set it up and we show it to you
Even this restyling is finished
Have you seen how nice the idea of putting the wheels
In this way you can also move the trunk
Even if it is heavy, make it even more useful
And manageable
This is my personal
Revisitation of a trunk that can
Also serve for something more frivolous
And botanical
Get out of your schemes
Maybe you have never used a line
Love, clear sand
Maybe it seemed too risky
But in my opinion it is good to get out of our schemes
Try different styles
Try different approaches
Because it is not said that what you use
What you see is necessarily the only good road
To travel
Throw yourself a little more
To the next restyling
Bye!
