Hello, my dears! Today I'm going to show you my recipe for the most delicious and easiest tomato soup in the world.
I'm going to get a cutting board, because we have to do a bit of cutting.
Like any good recipe, it starts with an onion and two cloves of garlic.
Just chop them very finely.
And the good thing is, you don't have to make an effort when you're cutting, because in the end everything is going to be pureed anyway.
Especially with simple recipes like tomato soup, it often comes down to little things.
And then it turns from delicious to, oh my god, super delicious. And that's how we're going to do it today.
My two cloves of garlic come from fresh garlic, so they're really sexy and spicy.
I like garlic especially with tomato soup, it goes really well with it.
The peeling trick? Just hit it once and it's easier to peel.
I'm on a trip to Italy right now. I've been there three or four times this year.
And you know what? There's a new project coming up. I'm going to produce limoncello from now on.
I promise I'll show you on YouTube when it's time and you can order the bottles.
It's become monstrously delicious.
By the way, if you're new here, feel free to subscribe, because then you won't miss any news or videos.
I'm going to get a pot and then I'm going to sweat it all in.
So, of course I use olive oil to sweat it in.
You've already seen it in the intro.
Later on, we're going to add delicious garlic bread to the soup.
And then you can dip the soup really nicely.
But first we have to cook it.
Now sweat the onions and garlic until they're light brown.
They shouldn't get too dark. They just need to get nice and soft.
Now we come to the tomato in the tomato soup.
And I have two kinds here.
One is chopped tomatoes from the can and tomato paste.
I like this mixture of a bit of fresh tomato and chopped tomato and really tomato-like tomato paste.
I would do without raw tomatoes, because they're only really delicious in the summer.
And I want to eat tomato soup all year round.
The great thing about this dish is that you almost always have all the ingredients at home.
And if someone is hungry or someone is visiting, you can quickly make a tomato soup.
When our onions are really nice and glassy, add the tomatoes.
Now add the tomato paste.
I'm going to season our soup now. I have Italian herbs here.
If you don't have an Italian spice mix at home,
you can find it in my shop. I'll link it in the video description below.
Or you can just use dried oregano and basil.
The fresh basil is added later, because it's not heat-resistant.
So just let the dried herbs simmer and then add the fresh ones.
I have a bit of chili here, because I like it hot.
Then of course salt and pepper.
It's best to use fresh from the mill or the grocery store.
And very important, if there are so many tomatoes in the game,
always add a little pinch of sugar, because that brings out the flavor.
Let that simmer for a bit, and then we'll make the garlic bread.
So, I have some really nice bread here.
I'm going to cut some great slices out of the middle.
By the way, a good tip for at home, if you have leftover bread,
I always freeze it in slices, especially bread like this one.
Watch out! It's perfect for a grilled cheese sandwich.
And if you already have slices in the freezer, just let them thaw and put them in the pan.
And if you're thinking, hmm, how do I make a grilled cheese sandwich?
That's what I'm going to show you in this video.
So, a pan.
And I'm going to add butter to it,
because I think roasted bread with butter tastes much better.
But of course you can also use olive oil.
But if you like butter as much as I do, then use butter.
Don't heat the butter too much, because the slices of bread should slowly roast.
While the bread is sizzling, I'm going to finish the soup.
I'm going to refine it with a little bit of cream.
And now I'm going to add the fresh basil.
And the leaves can just go in like this, because they're going to be pureed anyway.
And now for a sip of cream.
How delicious that already smells and looks.
And in general, such simple ingredients and such a good dish.
I'm going to get the blender.
You could also use a mixer, but it's easier this way.
The only challenge is not to spray yourself or the cameraman.
Ah, it worked quite well.
That's how I cream the perfect consistency.
Not too thin, not too thick.
I'm going to look for the bread.
Oh yeah!
Just like that.
And now comes a trick, I know it from my grandma.
I'm going to grate a clove of garlic over the crispy bread.
That's how you get really, really delicious garlic bread.
I'm looking for a really nice fat one now.
And now ...
Oh my God, that's the smell of my childhood.
I'll do the other side too.
Of course, you can also do the whole thing on a board, not in a pan.
Then your hands will burn.
As a fiddly twist, add a little parmesan cheese on top.
How nice is that?
We'll take a picture and then I can try it.
I'm going to take a crispy slice of bread and go all the way through the soup.
Oh my God.
So creamy and at the same time so delicious.
Plus this crispy garlic bread.
Why don't we all make tomato soup a lot more often?
I hope you really feel like cooking it now.
Give me a thumbs up and say goodbye.
See you next time. Bye!
