Let's take a look at what's in the stomach.
Mainly, a digestive tube.
Stomach plus intestine are the ones that take up the most space.
Above, the heart, which has nothing to do with ours.
This is more of a cardiac vessel that runs through the entire animal.
When it contracts, the blood is expelled forward,
to the brain, which first floods it, before the other organs.
And when it expands, the blood is sucked
along the entire length of the vessel.
Speaking of blood, the blood of the caterpillar is not red,
and for good reason, it does not contain red blood cells.
These, in the vertebrae, are used to transport the oxygen
contained in the lungs to the cells of the body.
The blood of the caterpillar only carries nutrients.
As a result, the oxygen contained in the air
penetrates the body through small holes
located on the sides of the animal.
Then, the blood of the caterpillar
goes down through these small holes,
to the organs of the caterpillar.
The carbon dioxide that is produced
takes the same path, but in the opposite direction.
