In un precedente video vi ho parlato del lavoro di indagine di Byron Katie (https://youtu.be/WQO5Q2IOCOo). In questa "chicca", cerco di chiarire un possibile fraintendimento (se accetto la realtà non la posso più cambiare).
Imagine you are thirsty, there is a nice glass of water, and you want to drink.
But imagine you have a false representation of this glass,
a false representation that, for example, describes it not here, but here.
A false theory of the glass.
You believe that the glass should not be here, but here.
This is your theory.
You believe it so much that for you the glass is here.
And every time you try to relate to the glass,
you relate to something that is a zero that is here.
Imagine you are thirsty.
You want to quench your thirst,
and every time the only thing you can do is squeeze a handful of flies.
So you feel helpless,
because in not recognizing the reality of the glass,
you have no ability to co-create with the glass.
Why? Because you don't touch it.
You don't come into contact with the glass.
You don't come into contact with the glass, with the reality of the glass.
If I stop projecting a false theory of the reality of the glass,
then I reconcile myself with the reality of the glass,
I reconcile myself with the space-time reality of this glass,
and all of a sudden I say,
OK, I see you, I see you for what you are,
OK, you are OK, I see you.
I don't deny you through a false representation that I keep rigidly,
despite the fact that I keep squeezing a handful of flies.
So all of a sudden my hand can perceive the real substance of the glass,
I touch it, I feel its consistency, I feel its weight,
and I can co-create with this entity that I have recognized for what it is,
what it is, and I can quench my thirst.
I have acquired the power of change in reality.
Why do I give you this example?
A few days ago I made a video about the work of Byron Katie,
a beautiful work by Byron Katie,
which, basically, what does this work propose?
It proposes a work of investigation,
in order to return in contact with reality,
to reconcile ourselves with reality for what it is.
From this reconciliation, a feeling of love can also emerge
for what it is, for reality as it is.
So a non-judgment from which also arises an understanding,
a compassion, the possibility of simply loving everything we see.
But the point is, when people listen,
let's say, in fact, in the video they listened to my explanations,
some in the comments reacted saying,
but it's not possible, no, it doesn't work like that,
because if I accept reality for what it is,
at this point I don't change it anymore.
Marco Aurelio said,
what is good for you, universe, is good for me too.
Well, if it's good for me too, I don't have to do anything anymore,
I leave everything as it is.
But who said that?
In fact, it is exactly the opposite.
With the example of the glass, what I wanted to try to exemplify
is that only when I come into contact with reality,
that I acquire the power to co-create reality together,
instead of moving in an illusory dimension,
purely imaginary.
So first I have to recognize what it is.
And when I have this contact,
when I see things as they are,
I touch them, and by touching them
I can then explore what is possible,
which possibilities are feasible and which are not.
If my desire, for example,
is my space of desire,
it intersects with the space of desire of another person,
if it is possible to co-create something together.
But first I have to recognize that person,
I don't have to deny that person,
I have to relate to a real person.
And when we do it,
when we do this great job of investigation
and we get rid of all these false representations,
by doing it we recognize many more things in us,
for example,
than what we could see before.
Because many things that we saw outside
were things that we also had inside of us,
and we realize that we have a greater interest
in working on ourselves before,
rather than exploring this possibility
of external change,
which is more productive in a certain way,
it is also more effective.
Because, first of all,
there are urgent jobs that compete with us,
which are the jobs of the house,
so to speak.
And before saying,
ah, but this city is disgusting,
look how dirty it is, look how disgusting it is,
the first thing we have to ask is,
wait, but my house, how is it?
Is my room in order?
Ok, because if I am not able to keep my house in order,
I can't even claim that what is outside my house
belongs to me.
Of course, I have little to teach.
If, instead, I become a living example
of what is possible,
the reality with which I am in contact,
which I do not judge,
could answer,
because I am making it, for example,
to see how it is done.
I become a living example.
But, in short,
what I simply wanted to tell you
in this very brief tidbit is that
only if I recognize something,
I can judge it, accepting it for what it is.
So, yes, in a certain sense,
paradoxically, without exercising
any request for change.
Because, to observe,
when I am in the observational mode,
it is not a request mode,
it is a mode of, I say,
I look, I receive information,
data, ok.
So, basically, when I explore something,
I have no desire to change that something.
Imagine a scientist
who studies a system,
while he studies it, he does not want to change it,
he wants to discover its properties.
The same thing, when I relate
to the real in that way,
I discover reality, I discover real people
instead of imagined people.
I relate
to real people.
And, among other things, I come into more real contact
also with myself. And here I realize
that there is a lot of work that I have not done.
I realize that I was
trying to tell people,
you should not be this, that,
because in reality I was not even looking in my house
and there was a lot of work
and I was not even doing it.
And then I deal with my affairs,
as Byron Katie says,
my affairs,
then there are the affairs of others,
and then there are the affairs of God, to put it that way.
Well, it's the same thing, isn't it?
And then, obviously, in this
contact with reality
and with others, with real people,
we can explore the possibility
of alliances that lead us
towards changes
that come, how to say, produced
together, sharing
a space, for example, of desire.
So, the real power
comes from contact.
Contact is possible only
in the total acceptance of what
we are coming into contact with.
And so it is not a paradox.
It is the only possibility
we have, if we want to
stay sane, if we want to have
a real power to change things,
we must, paradoxically,
accept them for what they are.
Thank you.
