This video is the second part of the moss pole.
I will show you the plants that I started to grow on the moss pole.
These are the three species of philodendron that I got as a gift from my children on my birthday in August.
Philodendron Glorious, Philodendron Splendid, and Philodendron Vergosum.
This is the image I got as a gift at the end of August.
It was a really small cutting, and I thought,
Is it really necessary to have a big moss pole?
But after four months, I grew this much.
First of all, Philodendron Glorious has grown more than half of the moss pole.
Compared to the smallest philodendron below, which is getting bigger and bigger,
the newest philodendron is about six times bigger.
And the thickness of the stem is also getting thicker and thicker.
But when you go down, it's still as thin as a child's stem.
So the stem is getting thicker and thicker, and as soon as the roots are firmly in the moss, the stem is getting thicker.
This variety is a hybrid, so it is easy to grow.
It is a variety of Philodendron Glorious and Melanochrysum.
This is Philodendron Splendid.
When I got it, there were a few leaves.
It's getting bigger and bigger like this.
I wonder where the roots came from.
I think the roots came from around here.
These beautiful leaves are a little velvety and beautiful.
The back is a little light purple, and it's a very beautiful variety.
I'm so happy that Chibi-chan came out here.
This is Philodendron Velkosam.
This small seedling was originally about four leaves.
Look, the first leaf is so small.
In addition, this small seedling is already following me.
What I regret a little is that this small seedling was too early to grow in the moss.
I think it would have been better to grow the roots a little more firmly.
The reason why this seedling is growing so slowly is that there are actually quite a few small shell bugs.
That's why the small seedling hasn't grown much.
Compared to the first small leaf, this one is getting bigger and bigger like this.
The leaves at the top are beautiful, aren't they?
It's a little velvety and shiny.
When it comes to light, it's shiny.
However, the new leaves are curled up when they come out.
When the leaves were curled up, they didn't open up.
I thought it was a little suspicious.
When I looked inside the leaves, there were still shell bugs.
That's why it broke like this.
But the broken leaves are doing their best to grow.
This is the Velkosam that is having the hardest time.
And here are the three species that appeared in the first video of Mosspol.
I'll show you how big it's gotten.
First of all, Madokazura.
Originally, it was a very large and big seedling with a lot of fine leaves.
I put it on Mosspol.
When I put it on Mosspol, I could see that the part close to the soil was very large.
But the leaves were getting smaller and smaller.
And the stems were getting thinner and thinner.
It got into the moss around here.
As soon as it got in, the leaves got bigger like this.
I think there's still a lot of potential.
I think it's going to get bigger.
And this is the Philodendron melanocrysum.
Melanocrysum is getting bigger and bigger.
The size has stopped here.
The reason is probably because of the shock of moving.
And I think it's cold.
Because this house is pretty cold.
There's a stove in the back.
I don't know if you can see it or not.
It's because of the cold.
It's a melanocrysum that I'm hoping will get bigger in the spring.
And this is the Philodendron atavaponensis.
The leaves close to the ground are still fine.
They were originally this small.
They grew up and got smaller like this.
As soon as the roots are attached like this, you can see the difference in size.
It's getting bigger and bigger like this.
The reason why Philodendron melanocrysum is so good is because
Alloid plants such as Monstera, Pothos, Philodendron, Anthelmium, etc.
In short, they are plants with roots.
They give you two things you need to grow big.
One is to give you a balance so that you don't fall down like this.
And the other is to provide water and nutrition.
Most of the plants with roots are originally in a hot and humid environment.
Even if you're under a dim jungle, you can climb up to the top in search of the sun.
It's thanks to these roots.
Philodendron melanocrysum grows big by keeping a balance by wrapping it around trees and rocks nearby.
You need some kind of support to make it big.
So you can just use a normal plant like Philodendron melanocrysum.
The reason why Philodendron melanocrysum is different from other plants is that
Philodendron melanocrysum moss can provide water and nutrition.
For this reason, plants with roots can put roots in a pole.
Plants with roots can also produce heat from the stem like this.
And not from the soil, but from the roots, they can get the necessary nutrients and water.
You can see the roots growing here.
So, to put it in a more extreme way, the roots can be put in a pole.
So, we don't need soil.
It may sound a bit extreme, but at least the roots can grow from the soil.
Philodendron melanocrysum moss not only provides heat from the soil,
but also nutrition and water from all the roots.
So, it is very efficient.
For example, Philodendron melanocrysum monstera,
Philodendron melanocrysum apothos can grow bigger, faster and healthier.
I want to see a leaf with the potential of that plant.
I want to grow a leaf as big as the one living in the jungle.
I think Philodendron melanocrysum monstera is the only one that fulfills my desire.
So, the Philodendron melanocrysum moss challenge will continue.
How to grow Philodendron melanocrysum moss.
How to provide water and fertilizer.
I plan to grow Philodendron melanocrysum moss again when it gets warmer.
I will upload a video at that time.
Thank you for watching.
