As the temperature drops,
all eyes do turn to the power grid.
We are expecting to stay below freezing
through Wednesday morning as Mariel said.
Next month does mark two years since
a deadly winter storm knocked out power
for millions across the state of Texas.
Nearly 200 feet, 50 people died this time.
ERCOD, the agency that operates the
Texas power grid, says the grid will
hold up and Governor Greg Abbott
says he agrees. We feel very good.
About the status of the Texas power
grid and ERCOD to be able to
effectively and successfully ensure
that the power is going to stay on
throughout the entirety of this
winter storm episode, ERCOD posted
that it is ready to update Texans
with the latest information
over the next few days.
The agency did issue a weather
watch to begin tomorrow and it
does last through Wednesday.
