They Won’t give me the Silver Play Button…

right guys today is quite an upsetting one I cannot lie so 3 years ago I'll give you a bit of backstory before I get into the wise but 3 years ago I set myself with the goal of being the first UK skateboarder to ever hit 100,000 on YouTube and to be the first one to get the silver play button I had set this as one of my life goals and here we are three years later thanks to you guys which by the way massive shout out to everyone that subscribed because I appreciate hugely we've just hit the 100,000 subscriber Milestone last week and I was so excited when we hit it I was looking forward to getting the play button I was so hyped for it because you can get one for your team as well so I told Holly I'm going to get her one because she's helped with the channel so much and I just couldn't wait for it to be honest call me silly for caring about an award so much but to be honest as when you set something like this as one of your life goals and you finally achieve it it kind of becomes part of the journey and you just look forward to it so much don't get me wrong this isn't going to stop me from creating content but but sadly once I hit 100,000 subscribers I got the whole celebration thing on my channel dashboard but the thing is you have to wait for a manual Channel review from YouTube just to make sure that you're not committing any crimes not doing any illegal stuff or uploading other people's content without commentary basically as long as you're not stealing anything from other people then you should be all good at least that's what I thought so first things first as soon as I hit 100K I looked up the process it says it can take up to 2 weeks to get the review so I was like all right cool I'll leave it to 2 weeks 2 weeks was today so I started looking up as to why I hadn't received the email why I didn't know anything about it or no one reached out from YouTube and then I did a bit of research found out that this is quite a common thing so first things first I went to the YouTube award website tried to redeem it and it said my channel was not eligible obviously you can imagine as soon as I saw that my heart sunk like I hit 100K subscribers I don't ever really get videos demonetized and I've never had one age restricted ever so as far as I'm aware everything I do is content friendly guideline friendly Advertiser friendly and then a friend of mine told me that I should go and check out the live chat section of YouTube which is basically look like a little chat room you put in your channel URL and they do a manual review for you there on the spot in case there was any mistakes so I did this was chatting to them for a little while they did a manual review and come back with the same answer they basically told me your channel is not eligible to receive any creative rewards from YouTube I said well in that case can you tell me why so that with any future channels I might make I can avoid this in the future right so obviously I want to know why I can't get it so that if I wanted to make a new Channel that I can make sure that this doesn't happen again and I can just play by the rules going forward on this channel to which they just keep telling me yeah you you've violated one of the guidelines you violated one of the guidelines and I was like what what how like I've gone through the guidelines and nothing was on there that I had done right so I hadn't in my eyes broken any of them but then after questioning them and questioning them for so long they just would not tell me why really worth noting here that I was trying to find out from then which exact instance it was that caused this problem I then found out that it was because of a warning that I had from a video posted 2 years ago right so I'm going to go on my dashboard right now and show you I'm not going to bother bluring anything out I know a lot of people like to blur out their revenue but I've not got anything to hide I'm completely transparent with you guys so here we are right here this right here an active Community guide strike warnings so on the prerequisites like the requirements for the play button it said just don't have a guideline strike which I do not have by the way I do not have a guideline strike and this warning was from a video posted two years ago and they brought it to my attention about 2 and a half months ago at which point I'll go through it with you right now basically I got the warning on the 27th of December and then I I panicked at the time I should have appealed it I'm a idiot I should have appealed it but I deleted the content and then I did the training right which is just like a questionnaire to make sure that you know what the guidelines are passed it on my first try cuz easy questions right and then obviously as you can see here it expires on the 26th of March but because my channel hit 100K subscribers before this warning expired bear in mind this isn't a strike this is just a warning that if I do it again I might get a strike so like I said I completed the training expected this to be all good but because I hit 100K subscribers before it this expired when they reviewed my channel this was still on there and thus that gave them the reason to not allow me to claim the reward for my channel which obviously has been extremely upsetting and has really put a downer on the whole YouTube reward system for me I was looking forward to this so much but I have heard from a few people that I might be able to reapply once this warning is gone but because I applied today I now have to wait three months just to reapply and they told me it might not even work even if I do because the first time I hit 100K Subs I have this here now now the reason why I'm making this video is because when I was Googling this no one had made a video about this thing so if you're a Creator this has happened to me and it may happen to you as well also if you're creating skateboarding content don't do any baales any bail reaction stuff cuz you could end up in the same boat just better be safe than sorry oh and by the way so I should probably tell you what the video was so the video that I deleted was basically a reaction video to someone else's content by the way that's still on YouTube so I got my video taken out for a reaction to something else that is monetized it was just a bail reaction video and to be honest I should have appealed it because I think YouTube system flagged it up just through the AI and if I'd have appealed it to have it reviewed by a normal person I might have been all right but yeah because I deleted it this can no longer be done so if you get this in your situation don't delete the content appeal it if you think you followed the guidelines maybe I did violate them by reacting to that video maybe I didn't but now I apparently can't get my silver play button award which absolutely sucks obviously I'm not going to sit here and burst into tears about it but my God man was so disheartening this would happen so what I'm going to do is I'm going to wait for this warning to expire and then I'm going to reply again and I'll let you guys know how that goes but for
