Today was opening day, and well, looks like the Angels are exactly as advertised, just
instead of Mike Trout and Shohei Otani hitting bombs only for the Angels to lose 11-6, it's
just gonna be Mike Trout hitting a bomb only for the Angels to lose 11-3.
If there's one team in baseball you can't sue for false advertising, it's the Angels,
and Ron Washington just realized what he signed up for.
Poor guy, if he relapses, there's nobody else to blame than this organization.
They should be ashamed of themselves.
But not to worry, only 161 of these things to go.
Speaking of the Angels, the team that falsely claims Los Angeles, the team that rightfully
claims Los Angeles, yeah I don't think the Dodgers are ever losing anything.
It took about .02 seconds for Otani to get his first hit at Dodger Stadium.
He did gamble a bit, trying for 3rd, but unfortunately Mookie stopped there, and I'd like to see
anyone on the Dodgers try to yell at Otani about that.
Freddie Freeman then capped off the big 3 with an RBI knock, but that was just the warm
up, like that was just them kinda dicking around before Mookie connected for a bomb,
and then Freddie hit one of his own after Otani walked.
The sex god himself dominated the Cardinals, yeah the Dodgers aren't losing again, you
can bet on that.
The Cincinnati Reds are going to hit the most homers in baseball this year, I think that's
pretty clear.
This guy hit two bombs, who is he?
Is it Ellie, Encarnacion Strand, India, Benson, any of the big young guys coming up?
No, the 33 year old Nick Martini.
300 home runs minimum for the Reds this year, bet on it.
The 2023 wildcard banner was unveiled at the trap before proceeding to get pummeled by
Canada, and I think that's a pretty accurate summary of the Tampa Bay Rays franchise.
I forgot the Tigers and White Sox existed, and part of me thinks they don't, but they
played a baseball game today, and what should we take from it?
Well, the Minnesota Twins also played a baseball game today, and I have high hopes for them
this year, I mean I literally picked them to go to the World Series, and Royce Lewis
is going to be great, in about 50 games.
He hits a bomb and then a single before limping rounding third.
A lot of the talk surrounding Lewis has been his injuries despite the talent he can bring,
and bro really said, you wanna see me do it again?
The Pittsburgh Pirates continued representing their franchise well.
They saw too many people giving them acknowledgement that they can be good and said nice try loser,
not so fast.
Our newly extended opening day starter?
Five runs.
The Pirates are never having a winning season again, you can bet on that.
Absolutely nobody wanted to win in Houston today, not Nestor Cortez, not Frambois Valdez,
the bases were loaded half the game, it felt like the Astros were up 7-0, yet the Yankees
somehow won 5-4.
Juan Soto keeps terrorizing Houston and whatever team Josh Hader is on, I honestly have zero
idea what to take away from this game.
The Padres' bats looked dead through 4 innings against the Giants, and I was ready
to call it quits on this group and hail Logan Webb as the Cy Young award winner.
Before they rallied like it was 2022, Peter Siler's spirit is watching over this team,
I mean if the Dodgers win 161 games this year, the Padres are winning 160.
Bet on it.
Oh wait, I remember the Pirates were playing the Marlins though, whoops.
Jazz Chisholm basically decided not to wear a hat or helmet throughout this entire game.
Cruise missiles are back baby, the Pirates are back and postseason bound.
Andrew McCutcheon's magical retirement tour is going to be one for the ages.
Bet on that.
