Hello all you freedom loving people.
Welcome to another episode of Front Page.
I'm your host Scott Cameron Goulet.
Climate change has been called a hot topic again in recent days
because from November 30th to December 12th
the United Nations Climate Change Conference of 2023 is being held in Dubai.
The climate change advocates together with the major western governments
claim that in order to avoid a 1.5 degree increase in temperature
we should abandon the use of natural gas and gasoline
and we should burn neither coal nor wood.
President Trump and Tucker Carlson have both spoken out on this topic
that it's worth discussing in detail.
Okay let's get into it.
Climate change theory suggests that most human activities
such as burning gasoline in cars or water coal for heating
increase the amount of carbon dioxide in the air
and apparently this is a major contribution to greenhouse gas.
The other major greenhouse gas is methane.
Agriculture, oil and gas operations are the main sources of methane emissions.
The increase in greenhouse gases is allegedly causing the planet's greenhouse effect
which allegedly means the earth's climate is getting warmer.
Later on climate change advocates change the term climate warming to climate change.
This is because it's not up to man to decide if the weather will warm up or not.
The climate change advocates claim that the planet has already warmed up 1.2 degrees celsius
since the pre-industrial time period.
Many scientists believe that preventing the most catastrophic effects of climate change
requires limiting the average global warming to 1.5 degrees celsius above the pre-industrial levels.
Summer has a summer lifestyle and winter has a winter lifestyle
so I don't see any catastrophic effects of temperature change.
The climate change advocates together with the major western governments
are relentlessly threatening that in order to avoid a 1.5 degree increase in temperature
we should abandon the use of natural gas and gasoline and we should burn neither coal nor wood.
John Kerry said there shouldn't be any more coal fired power plants permitted anywhere in the world.
I find myself getting more and more militant because I do not understand
how adults who are in position of responsibility
can be avoiding responsibility for taking away those things that are killing people on a daily basis.
Let's listen to what President Trump had to say first.
During a town hall in Davenport, Iowa on December 5th
President Trump criticized John Kerry's destroying of the United States
with his various climate policies.
President Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity
I see John Kerry all over the place talking about how we have to get rid of our coal plants
and yet China is building one coal plant a week, massive coal plants
and they're doing it just automatically and John Kerry wants us to stop doing anything we can.
We have a country we have to fire up our factories.
Wind is not going to fire up our factories.
President Trump pointed out that John Kerry is a bit of a hypocrite.
He said this guy I mean think of it he goes all over the world in a private jet by the way
he goes all over the world talking to these people about getting rid of coal plants.
President Trump believes that the current threat that we should be worried about
is nuclear war not climate change.
President Trump said the only global warming we should be thinking about or worrying about
because it could happen tomorrow is nuclear global warming not global warming.
President Trump believes that to make America rich again this far-left policy must stop.
President Trump also said our country can be rich again.
John Kerry has to be stopped he's destroying our country.
President Trump says that he is in favor of protecting the environment
but not in the way that the far-left does it.
President Trump said I am an environmentalist but we're going to destroy our country
with this green new deal stuff that doesn't work.
We have so much wealth and power under our feet no other country has it.
Tucker Carlson has some hard data to show that the world's top coal-burning countries
aren't the same countries embracing green energy policies they're Asian countries.
China for example burns more coal each year than the rest of the world combined
and that will not change.
In fact it's accelerating.
This year the Chinese have generated 14% more electricity from coal than they did last year.
Same thing in India.
80% of all of that country's electricity now comes from coal.
That's up from 73% just last year.
Now it's not a small thing because those two countries
make up a third of the world's entire population.
And it's not just India and China.
Last year Indonesia burned 33% more coal than it did the year before and so on.
Journalist and author Michael Schellenberger says
that the working class in these countries rely on coal for heating and cooking.
How could they live if they could not burn coal?
Just even a year or two ago global elites used to pretend to care about people
but they're not even pretending anymore.
Here they fly their private jets.
Separate private jets including for the prime minister of Britain,
his foreign secretary, King Charles, all taking their own private jet.
At the very moment that they're raising energy prices to historically high levels
and as you just saw there with John Kerry demanding the shutdown of coal plants
which will mean that people will burn wood and dung in China
and they will starve and they will not have enough to eat
and you'll have riots in the streets.
I think that what's so different now is that the elites
are just openly and blatantly expressing their hatred of humankind
particularly the hatred of working people, of poor people,
people both in the United States in the so-called flyover states that they hate so much
but also in places like India and China and Africa where people want to live a better life
and that's what coal has traditionally provided.
If climate change advocates are serious about reducing carbon emissions
then the easiest way to do it is to replace coal with natural gas.
Obvious alternative to coal is natural gas.
If you cared about climate change, if this was actually about climate change,
you would just produce more natural gas because it produces half the carbon emissions of coal.
The United States reduced our carbon emissions by 22% between 2005 and 2020
with 61% of that reduction coming just from switching from coal to natural gas
but John Kerry and other climate activists are against natural gas
and they've been stifling the production of natural gas,
clean burning American natural gas which is the cleanest in the world.
So it's so obviously hypocritical but worse than that I think it's really anti-human
and that's really what gets added.
It's a religion, it's a cult like you said
and it really is about being against humankind, against humanity.
But we've all seen how climate change advocates want to ban any kind of cheap energy.
So the question is why?
We know that the pillars of civilization are cheap energy,
meritocracy, law and order and free speech
and all four of those pillars are currently under attack.
And so you start with cheap energy,
you can't maintain modern civilization without cheap energy.
We know we couldn't have had the industrial revolution for physical reasons
if they hadn't found coal and they hadn't made a use of coal with the steam engine.
So the attack on cheap energy is truly an attack on modern civilization
and it should frighten us and we should be aware to it and alive to it.
Another reason is the financial factor.
Coal and natural gas resources are virtually unlimited.
This makes it impossible for big capital to control energy prices
if we use coal and natural gas.
There's a financial element here obviously too
where the largest donor to the democratic party George Soros
but also Michael Bloomberg and a whole set of other oligarchs
have a strong interest in keeping energy scarce.
I think that's what is a big driver of this.
That's why they want to shut down nuclear plants, coal plants.
They want to stifle natural gas production
and they want us to use weather-dependent energy dilute primitive sources of energy,
so-called renewables that are actually anything other than renewable.
And these are technologies that require 300 to 900 times more land
than natural gas or nuclear plants
and that keep energy expensive and scarce
so that they can control the energy markets around the world.
In the past, these ultra-leftists used to only cover up a bit
but now they do not dare to show their true colors at all.
They used to still try to hide their hatred of humanity a little bit
but this year, gloves are off and masks are off
and you can just see here they are openly flying their private planes
to a climate conference where they're demanding
that ordinary people pay much more for energy,
that we keep energy supplies secure.
Our electric grids right now in the United States, Tucker,
are in serious jeopardy.
We're having reliability crises, not just in California.
That's the most famous one.
We've seen it all over the country, Texas.
We saw it in the Midwest and Southeast last year during winter.
So we're seeing an attack on the grid,
which is really a testament to modern civilization.
It's happening everywhere at the same time, Europe, United States.
But the law of the world is what goes around comes around.
The unabashed words and actions of the extreme left
have also made more people realize that
the so-called climate change theory is nothing but a scam.
What gives me hope is that I think it's finally becoming obvious to people
that it's a scam and that the people that are pushing this
really hate civilization or at least they hate civilization for others.
They want it only for themselves
and that they're in the grip of a really dogmatic cult philosophy.
I mean, I think it's fair to call it a death cult at this point
when you're stifling energy supplies
that are necessary to keep people alive,
allow poor people to escape from the use of wood and dung.
I don't know what else you call that than an anti-human death cult.
That's right. It's not environmentalism.
It's the starling case of tyranny.
We now know a lot about the shortcomings of energy policy
as a result of this climate change.
So is it an exaggeration for President Trump to say
that these policies will destroy America?
Europe and Australia are also implementing such policies.
So will they be destroyed too?
In fact, South Africa is an example for us to refer to.
South Africa has beautiful scenery, rich minerals and developed industry.
It used to be the world's largest masonry trading center,
gold trade settlement, mineral futures delivery place.
It was the largest financial trading center in the Southern Hemisphere.
Since 1965, South Africa has formally entered the ranks of industrial powers.
In 1975, South Africa's domestic industrial output value
accounted for 40% of the whole of Africa.
It can be said that South Africa at that time
occupied an absolutely dominant position in the economy.
Five years later, South Africa's economic growth rate had reached 7.8%.
It was second only to Japan and Singapore.
But after the 1990s, South Africa became one of the very few countries
where life expectancy declined and the GDP per capita declined.
Between 1995 and the year 2000, the per capita income fell by 40%.
And after that, there was no improvement.
Why did South Africa suddenly transform from a thriving country
to a poor and declining one?
All this transformation is related to Nelson Mandela
and the environmental protection policy that he promoted.
South Africa has long been under the administration of Boer rule.
That is the white people of South Africa
who were descended from Dutch, French and German immigrants.
Boer rule brought economic prosperity to South Africa.
But one big bug in Boer rule was the policy of apartheid,
a policy that was clearly against freedom.
This policy was also unanimously condemned by the international community.
Under great pressure, the saint Nelson Mandela
was released from prison in 1990 after 27 years of incarceration.
Consequently, in 1994, Mandela and his ANC won the competition
and he became the president of South Africa.
The decline of South Africa began with Mandela's rise to power.
As soon as Mandela came to power, he began by dismantling the policy of apartheid,
which was, of course, the right thing to do.
It was a move toward freedom.
But he didn't stop there.
He went further and he introduced the Black Employment Promotion Act.
This required a certain percentage of blacks
to be recruited in businesses, schools, governments and even hospitals.
Government, hospitals, schools and businesses were flooded with blacks,
even many who were illiterate.
Whites with a lot of experience had to leave their positions.
Mandela's second most misguided policy
was to attack his country's industries in the name of environmental protection.
Mandela said that people should live with blue skies and green mountains.
And then he enacted the toughest environmental protection bill in history.
The state no longer favors the industrial manufacturing industry in terms of policy.
At the same time, the implementation of the harsh environmental protection bill,
the issuance of certificates of environmental protection tax,
meant that businesses that could not pass the environmental assessment
would not be allowed to start.
Fines are imposed on companies that violate the law.
And there's no cap on the amount of money that can be fined.
With these policies, a large number of enterprises cannot be sustained.
So they have closed down.
A large number of white people and their enterprises
have helplessly chosen to escape from South Africa.
The former pride of the splendor of South African entrepreneurs,
with hundreds of years of efforts and accumulation, turned to ashes overnight.
In less than three decades, the South Africa of today
is synonymous with poverty, chaos and disorder.
The former prosperous, peaceful and orderly South Africa
is remembered by few ever since the implementation of environmental policies.
So this is a lesson that history has already taught us.
Yet the environmentalists shamelessly pushed this policy in Europe and the United States.
OK, this is our show for today.
