One of the participants of this initiative has harshly condemned this exercise in the Mediterranean, saying that it is an exercise that threatens peace in the world. I would like to focus particularly on one aspect which perhaps was not expressed sufficiently up to now. In the course of his research on the various mass murders which have occurred in Italy, from the Piazza Fontana massacre, the Italicus massacre, the Piazza della Loggia massacre, and that would include starting with the Piazza Fontana in Milan in December 1969, and then the Italicus train bombing, and then the Piazza della Loggia in the 70s. He refers to the murder of other investigative magistrates, Judge Falcone and Judge Borsellino, and also members of their security detail. It was found that the explosives that were used came from NATO military bases. There are seven principal NATO bases in Italy. And those are seven Freemasonic lodges. This was written in a book called The Republic of Unpunished Massacres, and none of these statements have ever been denied. He wrote about this in a book called The Republic of the Unsolved Massacres, the Unsolved Mass Murders, and not one aspect of his analysis has ever been refuted. In some of these bases there were black terrorists, NATO exponents, NATO officers, mafiosi, political men, Italians and Masons, on the eve of attacks. And for all of this there were witnesses who will testify that this is what happened. And this is the phenomenon we find beginning at the beginning of the 1960s and then continuing without interruption. So the context of NATO, the NATO structure with fascists or right-wing terrorists, suggests to him that NATO has had a profoundly negative role in the evolution of democracy in Italy and also in other countries. Without going into too much detail about this, he would like to point out that participating in these NATO exercises and drills is dangerous for Italy in that it exposes Italy to retaliation, to counterattacks from countries that might get involved in these things at a later point. For many years I too believed in good faith that NATO was a defensive organisation for peace and security. It wasn't like that. I was wrong. The problem is that disinformation, the silence of the press, prevents a large part of the public opinion from knowing these tremendous truths. The problem is that, I repeat, we have to get out of the scope of this movement to try to bring out these great problems that threaten peace and security and that can provoke a devastating war for all of us.
