#macron#barnier#france
8h20 in Paris, these files that await the future government of Barney.
We continue to mention them now with our guest.
Hello Danielle Obono.
Hello.
Thank you for accepting the invitation of RFI.
LFI, new popular front.
There is obviously among this multitude of construction sites,
that of pensions.
The reform that passed the legal age of 62 to 64 years,
which put thousands and thousands of French people in the street.
The NFP program for legislatives evoked a return of the legal age to 60 years.
I will open the debate for the improvement of this law,
said Michel Barnier on Friday during his first interview.
Could the left be ready to engage this discussion with the future government?
We have been elected with a clear program.
It is the abrogation.
And this is what we will defend at the National Assembly
as soon as we have the opportunity to do so.
Even if, as the CFDT claims,
the law is suspended to start discussions,
for you there is no possible discussion.
That's it.
It must be suspended indefinitely.
Yes, listen.
You said it yourself.
It is one of the largest social movements in this country.
Including among Emmanuel Macron's electorate,
a majority were for his abrogation.
I remind you that these two years of stolen lives
with a particular impact for the most vulnerable,
women, the most painful jobs.
And so it is the symbol of the injustice of this government
and its anti-social policy.
And for us, it is a fundamental element of the program
for which we have been elected.
For you, there is no social progress to be expected from this government,
Daniel Obono?
Emmanuel Macron, according to the press feeds,
said it himself.
He did not want to appoint Lucie Castet to Matignon,
even though she should have been,
being the candidate of the new Popular Front.
Because he did not want the social progress,
the proposals that the French people had put in place
through our program,
including the increase of the minimum wage
and of all wages in the future,
and the abrogation of the retirement reform,
as well as all the proposals for fiscal justice.
And so he chose, with the approval,
even the collusion of Mrs. Le Pen,
a Prime Minister who is supposed to redo the same policy
he has been doing for seven years,
and who has put the public hospital,
public services in this state,
and with an increase in inequalities
that French people suffer on a daily basis.
So no, we do not believe that he will do anything
other than pursue this deleterious policy.
France, in any case, is under strong pressure from Europe,
since it is targeted by a procedure
for excessive deficit in 2024.
It would reach, according to projections,
5.6% of gross domestic product.
There was, in theory, until September 20
to communicate a plan to reduce the public deficit.
France will ask for a delay.
Are we going to be able, in your opinion,
to hold the calendar,
which is extremely tight for the 2025 budget?
The law sets its presentation on Tuesday, October 1st.
Is it tenable for you?
Listen, we will have to wait and see
what the Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron says.
But you know, it is a choice that has been made
precisely to force the national representation
to accept, in a certain way, under this double pressure.
But I would like to remind you, it is important anyway,
that everyone is aware that the situation
in which the country is today
is the result of the policy carried out for seven years
by Emmanuel Macron and his budget minister,
Mr. Le Maire.
And so, it is the same people who, today,
are going to argue about this situation
in which they have put the country
to continue this policy.
Because we had the displeasure to see
that the ministers of the missionaries
had sent letters to the ceiling.
You know, it is the budgetary axes
that they want, even though they did not have
the legitimacy to do so.
They had been beaten for the next budget.
And we announce, and it already seems obvious to them,
that they are going to put in place
an austerity policy
that is going to produce the effects
that are today put in question by the European Union.
No, we need another policy.
And we are going to fight, precisely,
for this fiscal justice policy
that will allow to give breath
to the French and to the French women,
and also to the country's economy.
Eric Coquerel, the LFI president
of the National Finance Committee,
says the idea is to profoundly change
the budget in commission
to the point of making it NFP-compatible.
What does that mean?
And above all, how did it happen,
given the physiognomy of the National Assembly?
This is the approach that Lucie Castet
had presented in her letter
to parliamentarians, saying,
text by text, measure by measure,
we are going to convince,
and try to convince parliamentarians,
that the sharing of wealth,
that a real fiscal reform,
for example,
which puts in place 14 sections
instead of 5,
will allow to give to the French
and to the French women
more equity
and fiscal justice
which is widely demanded,
and will bring back resources.
Everyone is very insistent
on the problem of spending,
but from our point of view,
the problem is the problem
of the recipes and the political choices
that have been made to empty
the public treasury
in favor of private interests.
And so, yes, we are going to do it,
and we had the opportunity
during the previous mandates
to see that there were possible majorities
for example on the taxation of super profits.
We know that within the Modem,
the former president of this parliamentary group
was in favor of this kind of measures.
And I think we are showing,
precisely, measure by measure,
who chooses the general interest,
the interest of the country,
or particular interests.
Everyone will have to decide
and position themselves accordingly.
Michel Barnier consults, in any case,
in order to form his government.
He already received the former
tenant of Matignon, Édouard Philippe.
He also received the president of the Modem,
François Bayrou. He also said
that it will not only be a right-wing government.
And he said he wanted to open
the table to all those who want it,
including the left.
We understand that you are not open
to this type of proposition.
Is there one, by the way,
that has been made
to one of the components of the NFP?
As far as I know,
it is not the case, but I see badly
someone who says to himself,
from the left, even with a lot of quotation marks,
to participate in such a government.
It is still the first government
Macrono-Le Penistre,
which exists only
because Mrs. Marine Le Pen
accepted
the alliance proposed by
Emmanuel Macron against
what the French had expressed,
the French who barred the far right.
And we say, we have enough of Mr. Macron's
So whoever the person who imagines himself
on the left, who would be ready to
participate in this government, I think
it will be clear to everyone
that it is simply someone on the right
who agrees with the right-wing policy
that will be put in place by this government.
One last question, Danielle Obono.
On Saturday, tens of thousands of people
took to the streets in France
to call on youth organizations,
your party, but also ecologists and communists
to denounce,
it was the mot d'ordre of the parade,
Emmanuel Macron's coup de force.
The socialists had not called them to the parade.
Are they still your full-time partners
within the new Popular Front?
Of course, the Socialist Party
is part of the new Popular Front.
And there were a lot of voters
and even militants that I met
socialists in the streets.
There were more than 160,000 people in Paris,
300,000 in the whole country,
and I think that a first mobilization
of this kind shows the anger
there is and the refusal to accept
this coup de force. We have
almost 300,000 soon signatories
of the petition Macron-Destitution.
Macron-Destitution.fr
I invite you to sign it, because it will give us strength
and strength in the coming weeks
against
Emmanuel Macron and his government
supported by the RN.
Danielle Obono, deputy LFI of Paris.
Merci d'avoir été avec nous ce matin.
