Ивелин Михайлов за Исторически парк в предаването Пътят по ТВ1

Historical park Bulgaria / Исторически парк

Hello, dear friends. You are watching TV1. I am Maria Damianova.
Today, together with our guest, we will go to the first and only historical park in Bulgaria.
I have invited Ivelin Mihailov, who is the initiator and promoter of this idea,
to tell us as much as possible, within the framework of a show, about the historical park near Varna.
Ivelin Mihailov was born in August 1977 in Gorno-Uryakhovica.
He graduated in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Industrial Electronics,
and later graduated from the Department of Economics at the University of Varna.
He worked as an insurance consultant, he took the position of Sales Director,
led by the desire to unite management, finance, marketing, law and accounting
in one, on October 27, 2007, he created his own company.
Today he is the Chief Executive Director of the Historical Park.
Hello!
I tried in this visit to say who you are.
The information about you that I found on the Internet is quite extensive,
but I gathered myself in these few statements. I hope they are true.
And correct, exactly.
Good. Are you still excited about the discovery that is coming soon to the historical park,
which we will talk about in this show?
Yes, I am excited about the discovery and I want to share that for 9 years,
every step in the construction of this historical park, every day is an adventure for me.
And for 9 years I have been experiencing an unceasing happiness to realize something
that inspired me and so many people in Bulgaria.
Can you imagine, for 9 years you have been excited because you are building it,
because you are realizing your idea, and now the discovery, the guests, the officiality,
this is another kind of emotion that, so to speak,
completes a stage of the construction of this historical park.
It is not finished entirely, there is still something to be done on it.
It will not be completed while I am alive,
because the historical park is such an object that is constantly growing.
In Turkey there is a restoration of an old ancient city, Ephesus.
And every year the tourists go again and again,
and we are the same tourists, to see how far the restoration of this city has come.
Our story is so extensive, so interesting,
that we can, 10 lives, restore only what our ancestors did,
and yet there will be something else to do.
So the historical park is conceived as a project that every year,
when a person goes and visits it,
to see how it blooms.
It is like a rose that does not have its peak,
to bloom and to begin to bloom,
and within our lives it will not begin to bloom, it will just bloom.
Is this how this park is set up, to be built constantly?
Was this your idea, to start from there?
When was this idea born?
The idea was born 9 years ago,
because I read an article
that made me imagine something that I see every day,
but I did not pay attention to it,
buried in my own problems,
and the article was that Bulgarians are the fastest growing people in the world,
they disappear very quickly,
and that Bulgaria is in danger of disappearing.
We have two types of abduction of people from Bulgaria.
One is because of their birth rate,
and the second is because of the people who go to live abroad,
in search of a better life and a better community,
because we have lost Bulgaria in the last 30 years.
And then a feeling arose in me,
which, even as a child,
I always wanted to go back to the time
when Bulgaria needed people who were ready to sacrifice their lives,
to do something so that it could continue better.
I know that years ago,
if our ancestors, 1350, 1360, 1390,
could see what would happen to their children,
they would have made other choices, other decisions,
so that Bulgaria could take a different path,
because so much suffering is not necessary to endure again.
And I always thought that in my time
it would not be necessary for something like this to happen again.
But reading this article,
I saw that we are faced with such a threat again,
which is more insidious,
because when you have a real enemy,
you see this enemy, at least you mobilize against him.
But the poison in the air, when you see it,
it is quiet and gradually kills our nation very badly.
And I wondered what I could do in two directions.
The first, and a very important direction,
is to restore the spirit of the Bulgarians,
to feel like one again,
not everyone to think for himself,
and secondly, to be an economic generator,
to give people the opportunity
to realize their business here in Bulgaria, not abroad.
And sitting down to make an analysis
of what population we have at the moment,
what are the qualities of this population,
what are our assumptions,
where to focus the effort, what should I do
to be able to help to revive Bulgaria,
to revive it again.
And that's where I saw
that history should be somewhere within the framework of tourism.
We are monopolists there,
no one can take your history.
Many people would pay to have our history,
because they can exploit it.
Let me give you an example.
The United States with Captain America,
Spider-Man, Iron Man.
These are absolutely imaginable heroes,
but they managed to make people believe
that they are real.
And now people go with Leninsky
to these heroes, believe in them,
they go, watch movies,
this is the whole industry.
So they did something out of nothing,
and we have real heroes,
and we do nothing to take advantage
of what our ancestors inherited.
And then I decided to make a historical park,
because what we miss,
as Bulgarians,
is to go and be proud.
I always tell people
that communication is on two levels.
For example, I communicate with you,
this is one level,
but more importantly,
I communicate with myself.
If I like myself,
I respect myself,
the communication with you
will always be better.
And in the first place,
we have to learn to communicate
with ourselves and to like ourselves.
And in the West,
there are many monuments of culture
that are preserved,
and we go there,
admiring the monuments
and admiring the Westerners.
I wanted to build such monuments
in Bulgaria, so that we could
like ourselves.
With whom did you share this idea?
First, I shared it with a team of people
who have been working so far,
and I told them,
we are going to make a historical park.
And they looked at me
as if I had learned
to recognize people
through communication.
What was their first reaction?
They were silent.
I looked into their eyes
and thought,
am I crazy?
What did they say?
Nothing.
Are you sure?
How is it going to happen?
Is it a big project?
Can we do it?
What are your ideas?
That was their reaction.
When you started to design
this project,
did you listen to the team?
Or did you just start
what you had in mind?
Later,
when I decided to realize the project,
we had to find new members
for the team,
who were missing
as specialists in archaeology.
To make a park,
the first communication
had to be with us.
We had to be sure
that we did a good job.
We contacted archaeologists
to help us
to construct
the buildings
in the park itself,
so that we could follow
the science,
all the achievements
we had so far.
First, we turned to
such specialists.
Second, we turned to
the world's largest
experts.
Third, we turned to
architects, landscape architects,
people who could help us
to design this project.
We turned to people
from the tourism industry.
We hit rock bottom
because he fell asleep in Bulgaria.
We had to go around the world
to find members
who could teach us
how to design this project.
How big is the team?
It's huge.
More than 4,000 people
have worked so far
on the project Historic Park.
When you say 4,000,
you mean the workers,
builders,
bricklayers,
all kinds of people, right?
The bricklayers are the smaller part.
They are people
who can find
more than 4,000 people
in different fields.
How did you start
popularizing this project
so that more people
could learn about it,
become aware of it,
and now
it becomes accessible?
Initially, we had another plan.
Our idea was
to build it,
to make a business plan,
to buy the land,
to make an architectural plan,
to remove all administrative obstacles
and to sell it
to a Western investor.
At first, we thought
about a large Bulgarian investor.
For a project like this,
you need huge funds
that we couldn't afford.
Our first step was
to develop everything
and then remove the obstacles.
A large investor,
whether Bulgarian or foreign,
doesn't have to deal
with the whole design,
with all the small details.
It takes years of work.
It took about six years
and you have to
synchronize a lot of people.
They are used to
going with the finished product.
We worked for six years
to make this project
and to make it
ready for construction.
First, we went to
Bulgarian businessmen.
I communicated with
one hundred of the richest people
in Bulgaria.
I saw that these people
are more interested in
making something for the country.
I realized that they are not
my potential employees in this direction.
Then I turned to
Western companies.
At first, we focused on Chinese companies
because they want to enter Bulgaria.
We went to China
and made meetings
with ten chosen companies
who are our potential
investors.
In the end, we selected
only three out of these ten.
We invited them back
because they had to come to see
and get to know everything.
With two of these companies
we reached the end of the deal.
They offered us certain conditions
in which everything could happen.
The whole change
in my plan happened
in the evening with
one of the Chinese investors.
I wanted to make
something for Bulgaria
so that more Bulgarians
could develop their business
in Bulgaria
based on this park.
It is always a big project.
It is like a big ship
with very few people around
who have to help it
do all the work.
This created a lot of people
in the country
and I saw it as young specialists
who could stay here
and not go abroad.
We made a business plan
with three main regions.
Bulgarian, Balkan and European.
These were the three regions
where the tourist strategies came from
and how to attract them.
I sat down to talk to the Chinese investor
and he interrupted me
and said,
we are not interested in this
because these are our clients
and that is enough.
When the Chinese tourists come
everything else disappears.
I started thinking about
what he was saying
and asked him a few questions
and what I found.
Actually, the Chinese companies
know that at some point
their tourists will come to Europe.
What do they want?
They want to buy a piece of land
where their tourists will come.
The profits will go back to China
and everything will be
already in Europe
but everything will go back to China.
I said to myself,
what am I going to do?
I am selling the last bastion
that is left of Bulgaria
to be a self-governing country.
I will make some money
and there will be applause
but my ultimate goal
will not happen.
Even then I shared
with one of my former
co-founders
that we are not going to do this.
We are giving up on the deal
and he said,
this is a big project
and there is no way to implement it.
I said, just wait and see
how we are going to do it
without them.
Even my co-founder
gave up on the project.
He did not see
how it could happen.
I decided to do it
in Bulgaria
to find enough
individuals to build it together.
I made another change
in the construction plan
and started to think
about the next step.
This is how we got
to the discovery.
Were there people
besides your co-founder
who gave up in the beginning?
Were there other people
who wanted to stop you?
How did your family react?
Did your relatives support you?
Or were there people
who doubted
what you were doing?
I have been living
apart from my parents
for a long time.
I have been living with my
grandparents all my life.
Since 1997,
when I left the barracks,
I have been living
far away from them.
My mother and grandmother
live in Gorna Orehovitsa.
My father is in Pleven.
I am in Varna.
We rarely see each other.
My wife
has always supported me.
She has never said anything.
She has always believed in me
more than I have believed in myself.
But there have been
strange people
in the process of my work.
There are always people
who, for one reason or another,
want to stop things.
This is mostly due to their inner ego
or somehow
they are afraid
that this will affect their market.
Very often
they fear
the last thing
that made me a strange impression.
For example,
many museum directors
are afraid
that we will take
one of their clients.
This is exactly the opposite.
Historical Park
will attract a lot of strangers
and will fill other museums
and other landmarks
with which more funds
will be allocated for restoration
and reconstruction.
Or Historical Park
will make a new,
dried-up lake,
water will flow
and for all plants
more will grow.
This is strange,
but I think it is not surprising.
I have not thought about it
because I am a positive person.
When something happens
in a city,
for example,
they build a nice building
and I am happy
because the city is mine
and I will see it every day.
It does not matter
that I do not have a lawyer.
I feel better
because I live in a better place.
I have always been happy
about people who succeed.
When someone does something,
I can do it too.
This is a proof
that things can get better
I have never thought
that I can help
someone to get better.
Sometimes I am surprised
by the kind of reactions
I get.
But I have learned
to accept them.
Dear friends,
you are with the show
The Road.
Our guest today is Ivelin Mihailov
who tells us about
the history of the Historical Park
which was recently discovered
near Varna.
It is 30 km from Varna
to the village of Neofit.
Is this park really
the biggest in the world?
Yes,
and I will tell you why.
Because in the whole world
when someone studies
the world history
he will see that
there are many countries
that have a peak moment
in the world history.
They are the leading force.
But usually after this peak moment
there is a decline
and they never recover.
Unlike everyone else
we are like a phoenix.
We are not like the fireflies
that go into the fire
and burn them.
In our country there are
many ups and downs
of human civilization
and for a long time
we are like a hole
and despite the decline
we find a way to rise again.
This makes our history
very diverse.
For this reason
we can show many
beautiful eras
that are unparalleled
in the whole world.
This gives the opportunity
for our park to be the largest
in terms of time.
Secondly, abroad
there are no masters.
There are no people
who work by hand.
The advancement of technology
and the western way
of life, the western society
people have focused
a lot on money
and fast results.
Imagine how many people
would have built something
in 9 years without
a single cent.
This is 9 years of hard work
without winning anything.
Few people would have waited
and many would have said
I could die during this time.
They want it now.
This is the modern way
of the western culture.
The eastern culture
is a bit different.
We think in eternity
and thanks to communism
many things were developed.
Communism is not
the system itself.
We know that every system
has its pros and cons.
There were many people
who were true masters,
true creators.
Back then you didn't have
fast work.
You waited 20 years
for a car, for a TV,
for a fridge.
Everything was planned
in a different way.
People spent more time
developing themselves.
We have a lot of masters.
The people who work here
are over 40 years old.
All of them
are from an older generation
when things were different.
There are not many people in the west
and it is very expensive
This park cannot be built in the west.
It would cost billions.
They have to gather people
from all over the world.
This is very expensive.
That is why in the west
the culture only develops
around the preserved monuments.
They are from a later stage.
They are from the 16th century
because they will be reconstructed.
They have a rise in the period.
In history, for example,
in Paris they have Versailles.
No one can make a second Versailles.
They have it. You will see it.
In Russia they have Petrodvorets
or the Kremlin.
You have them. You will see them.
They are positioned
in places
that cannot be modeled
because they are monuments of culture.
What we did
on an empty ground
was to restore the real monuments
without restrictions
like destroying something
because we are rebuilding it.
We have the advantage
that in Bulgaria everything is destroyed
and when it is restored
we do not compete
with something that has it
even though we do not make a copy
of the Rilski Monastery.
It is beautiful there.
At the beginning of the interview
you said that
you have seen
a lot of such
world parks,
attractions
that you have connected
with the international organization.
This means
that you have used
the experience they have abroad.
Which
attractions did you have
in mind when
you started to build
our historical park?
The closest to our attraction
are Archeon
which is in Holland
and Puy du Fou
which is in France.
When were they built?
Archeon started
in 1996,
the plan for it, the idea,
but it did not succeed.
It failed in the beginning
because they used European funding.
At some point it finished
and the project finished.
It did not grow on its own
but in an incubator.
Puy du Fou
started in 1977.
Puy du Fou
is an old aristocrat
who decided to rebuild the castle.
Going step by step
it is a very slow process.
For example, in France
they are rebuilding a castle
that has been built for 20 years
and still has a long way to go.
He decided to
make a festival
in his old estate.
He made a festival
and gathered a lot of people
and decided to
make such festivals.
Puy du Fou itself
is more like a circus.
Like Cirque du Soleil
it is a new type of circus.
There are animals,
people,
there are well-made shows.
It is great to watch
the show.
But the buildings themselves
are more like fairy tales.
There is no authenticity
but there is decoration
to make the show.
In fact, this park is decorated
by professional stuntmen
with animals.
Why do I say
that they are the closest to ours?
Because the restoration
of the history is being made.
But Archeon is very small.
There, for example, they restore
and make the history.
Holland does not have such an interesting
history as ours.
They have several houses
from the Middle Ages
that we can see in every city in Holland.
They are aimed at the internal public.
While we are
aimed at the international public
because in the world of cultural tourism
there is a lot of development.
But there are lost eras.
One is erased with
some kind of eraser.
This is the era of the Thracians.
There are films and there are so many
restorations for them.
But there is nothing that is restored.
The era of the Bulgarians,
of Byzantium,
is the era that determines the history
of the whole Eastern Europe.
But since Byzantium is
the territory of today's Turkey,
if Turkey admits that they have
conquered Byzantium, it means that
Turkey itself will fall apart.
How many eras are there
from our history?
Six eras.
Will there be more?
No.
Will you expand it?
We will expand it, but within
the framework of these eras.
Because we have switched to
the year 1400.
After the year 1400 in Bulgaria
there are enough developed
parks and cities that show
our biticulture
during the Ottoman Empire.
We do not want to compete with them.
Until then.
A foreigner or a Bulgarian,
if he is interested after this period,
let him go and see what they have done.
What is the total area
of the park?
Does this area increase
during the construction
of additional things?
The total area that we planned
at the moment is over 700 hectares.
But it includes
many things.
The park itself is 136 hectares.
Next to it
there is a place for activities
which is 500 hectares.
Next to it
there is a medieval house
which is 75 hectares.
Behind it there is a horse base
which is 55 hectares.
In front of it there is 150 hectares
for congress tourism.
The park is developing,
but each thing is coming in addition.
We are also making foreign acceptance
agreements,
Roman terms.
We just want a person to enter
a trip in time
and to be able to stay there for a couple of weeks,
to experience
a real journey.
It is not possible to look around
in one day.
Even what has been done at the moment,
because we opened the park
not 100% completed
because we had announced the date.
There were many Bulgarians from abroad
who had planned vacations.
They had done everything for this date.
There was no way to change it.
That is why we did the opening
for free.
At least we did not finish
something else.
Even this part, which is now open,
there were people
and my friends
who went to see it.
The first day I asked them
how they saw it.
They told me that the children
had already seen half of it.
The next day we will attack again.
What can be seen at this stage?
At this stage you can see.
First, the prehistory.
Because in Bulgaria
civilization was born.
What does it mean to be born civilization?
Few people imagine
that we are
strong
when we are united in the system.
In the birth-community
the people could
unite up to 150 people.
This was the ceiling of people
who could unite to do something.
In our country
the system is being invented
which allows people to unite
in millions and billions.
Or the modern model of governance.
And here the first civilization is born.
Here is the oldest gold treasure
in the world.
There are beautiful specimens
from the houses and the culture of the people
at that time.
And first we will be able to see
where we were born.
Where the modern civilization was born.
The second thing
we will be able to see
for the first time is the Thracian palace.
This is the only one in the world.
And we will be able to learn more
about the life of the ancient Thracians,
about Spartacus, Orpheus,
about these mythological heroes,
about these free-loving people
who were very interesting,
very cheerful, very different from the rest of the world.
And really very brave
and very free-loving.
And in the third part
we will be able to see the Early Middle Ages.
The Early Middle Ages
is actually a very dark period.
Let's say, as we are
after 1979,
until 2000 you know
that there were many difficult years.
Then there was a difficult century.
Because the whole world
is moving,
that is, it is collapsing.
And when this order collapses,
always when the order collapses,
then come the people
who are robbers.
They take from those who create.
And there was a terrible, terrible time.
And then the Bulgarians come
as sheriffs who manage
to enter the river again.
We, the Bulgarians, make 5-6 states.
It's not just one.
This is not something random, as they taught us.
We were carriers of statehood.
And we are already starting to reorganize
to get out of all this chaos,
to start building again.
All that you are telling
is happening
with consultations
with historians, right?
Only with historians,
with consultations for everything.
That's why I say,
our six years of not planning
and we always try to get
to every moment
so that we can see
if we are following the right direction.
Even in prehistory,
now during the construction,
there was always an archaeologist
who constantly told us
what to do and how to do it.
Was there a conflict
between the historians
about how things should be exactly?
That's why we chose a group of historians
to come
and consult us on the spot.
There will always be people
who have a different opinion.
But we chose those
who are lovers of science.
Because we know that in every area
there are people who are lovers
of science and people who are lovers
of money. And we chose those
who are lovers of science
because they love their job.
They don't do it for money,
but because they want to see it.
When you ask them why they do it,
they will tell you because they can.
But they are historians who have
a good education, right?
I can even say that they are
from the old school and they are
the ones with the greatest experience
in Bulgaria.
Yes.
What you said at the beginning
of the conversation
is that you want to
benefit from the next
generation.
Exactly.
Do you think that
this will really
give the next generation
the information
that you have
embedded in your main idea?
At the beginning
you asked me
how I feel after the discovery.
The discovery was
the first rehearsal
of what others will say
and not what I will think.
Because I like it. It's mine.
My children like it a lot
because it's mine.
I'm used to it.
And now it was the moment
to see what other people
will say about the project
and not just what they will say
but how they will feel.
And we made a big event
with over 30,000 people
There were concerts,
events outside the park,
a lot of people, food,
fun.
And you know,
after the birth,
they gave me the field
which was full of plastic
and paper.
It was a terrible mess.
People went to throw...
Yes, we like to throw.
And here there was nothing.
Everything was clean.
There were no people
to throw the paper somewhere.
There were no people
to make a conflict.
There were no people
to drink alcohol.
The whole event
reproduced so much energy
that people didn't need
stimulants to feel good.
They were excited
that they were together
and there was something
that united them.
The park itself
became a spiritual place
that helps people
to become better people
when they go there.
We have a friend
who is a psychologist
and I often ask her
why she does this.
You help a person
who broke down.
You help him, you fix him,
you put him back in the environment
and he breaks down again.
And she tells me what to do.
I say, in general,
you have to solve things.
There has to be a place
where people go to live
and become people,
where they don't break down
and become people.
And we created this place
which is a spiritual source
for Jews in Jerusalem
and for Muslims in Mecca.
This is a spiritual source
for Bulgarians.
It has to be a place
where people can find
the opportunity
to fix the broken down
so that it doesn't happen again.
You said a while ago
that a part of the park
is dedicated
to activities.
Exactly.
What are your plans?
I'll tell you.
When I went to PewDiePie,
I watched the show
and I wanted to be a part of it.
Not just to watch.
But there is no such opportunity there.
And we are working
in this direction
so that when a person comes
he can be the main actor,
the main character in the movie
and not just a spectator.
We want to encourage people
to take action.
We want to show them
that life is not online.
It is outside.
For example,
I go to train every day.
What happens is that
at the end of the day
I am stronger than the others
who haven't done it.
You can turn on the TV
and watch someone train,
but the benefit is for the person
who trains, not for him.
I want to encourage people
to take action
so that at the end of the day
they can be more valuable,
to be more people.
And what we see in the park,
first of all,
we return them to food.
Years ago, Bulgarians were
the longest living nation in the world.
That was because of food
and the way of life.
It is not necessary
for a person to run
on a running track
and to eat wrong food.
First of all,
it takes a lot of time.
It takes time to eat,
then to maintain a diet.
It takes time to walk
with an elevator
and then to run.
All things are made
in such a way
that you have to do
one thing and then do another
to neutralize it.
If we can, as people,
to organize our lives
three times longer
than in a normal life.
For example,
a year ago I was smoking
three boxes a day.
When I stopped smoking,
I was free for about
four hours a day.
So we have to think
what are the things
that people do to us
that really bring emotions
and what are the things
that we take as a doping
because something is missing.
We have to make our life
so that we take doping
from our daily actions.
From my work,
from my daily life,
thanks to Historic Park
for everything I do,
I managed to find
in my daily pleasure
the light that I have
and I don't have to look for it
extravagantly.
This is what we want to teach people.
We have a big field
where we can recreate
all of this.
Dear viewers,
you are watching
Our Guest Today,
Evelin Mihailov,
who is telling us
about the Historic Park
near Varna.
Is the Historic Park
going to have
excursion guides there?
Yes.
Or will everyone
go by themselves?
There will be people
who, if we call them excursion guides,
will be in conflict with
the definition of an excursion guide.
Why?
Because in Bulgaria and in the world
excursion guides are
professional people
who take
groups from abroad
and spread them all over the country.
Let's say that we will have
guides or
assistants
who will tell about the park,
will help a person
to live
more interestingly
their journey in the park.
We also have this type of games
where when a person
follows the game, he learns
things about different eras.
And in the end,
reaching the end of the game,
he learned
something even more interesting.
We have such interesting approaches
with which a person,
as we said, should be the main character
and not just a spectator.
We don't want him to walk around
like a visitor in a museum.
We want him to feel
the park with all his senses
and when he changes,
we want him to be a better person
than he was when he came.
If a person decides to walk around
the park alone,
is there a route?
Are there signs?
Is there a way to navigate?
There is. The path itself
is made in such a way
that it leads you to the places
you have to reach.
You start from somewhere
and you reach the place
where you can't get lost.
In order to follow the eras,
so as not to be confused.
Yes, that's how the path is made.
In each era, there are people
who pay attention to him
and help him understand
more about the era itself.
How many people can
walk around a day?
What is the capacity?
The capacity of the park
is about 2.5 million people
per year.
What does he do on a daily basis?
Can't he move fast?
He doesn't move on a daily basis
because there is a lot of nature.
Sometimes there are a lot of people
and sometimes there are less.
On Saturdays and Sundays
he is more active.
Think about it.
If we don't work all year,
we will work 8 months a year.
That's 240 days.
Or up to 10,000 people a year.
That's a lot.
And a lot,
and not a lot.
There are days when there are
30,000-40,000 people.
I personally went to an event
in Poland,
a battle of Slavs and Vikings.
There was a Viking market
and there were about
130,000 people there for 3 days.
And now,
how much did you say?
About 30,000 for 2 days.
That's 15,000 a day.
The first day was more.
The second was less.
Yes, less.
And when we talked about
this visit
that is expected,
what economic effect
do you expect from this kind of
tourism?
It is tourism,
what will happen there.
What economic effect
do you expect for the village
that is closest to the historical park?
This village already has
a huge economic effect.
First of all, the property of the people
is very expensive.
In Bulgaria, the biggest
wealth is the house.
And if someone increases the value of the house
2-3 times, it means that you are
much richer than before.
Are there already guest houses, hotels?
We are making wonderful guest houses.
Even now, we have
Bulgarians from Volga Bulgaria
who teach us in the kitchen of Volga Bulgarians.
And I suggested
at least two men
and one woman.
We have only one free guest house
with two bedrooms.
They are Muslims in Volga Bulgaria.
There is no way for the woman
to sleep with some of the men
because they are religious.
Not as extreme as in Turkey,
but they are religious.
And the two men should sleep
in one bedroom.
Now I will take you to another place
where you can sit
comfortably.
And they said,
this house is divine.
We are ready to sleep in one bed,
but only in this house.
Why do you want them to show
their kitchen?
Because Volga Bulgaria
is Bulgaria.
It can be in another place,
but this is Bulgaria.
In the Middle Ages,
Volga Bulgaria was a country
that was given by Russia.
The culture is given by
Volga Bulgaria and Danube Bulgaria.
We give them the alphabet,
the language,
the Old Bulgarian and the Old Russian.
We give them the whole
so-called Slavic world
with our alphabet, liturgies,
the whole literature,
their world essence.
And we give it to them.
Volga Bulgaria gives them
the architecture,
gives them another type,
or finishes the design
of the Russian culture
with the two Bulgarians
who inject their essence
in the modern Russia.
And we want to show
the Bulgarian cuisine there.
Because one people,
when he lives in different places,
he has different neighbors
and is formed in a different way.
This is very interesting,
as two brothers,
who are in two different places,
to see what happened
to the people themselves.
But they have their own
beautiful cuisine,
part of their cuisine
remains in ours,
there are some new things,
it is also medieval,
very interesting, useful,
and this will be interesting
for Bulgarians and foreigners
to get to know.
This is one of the lost Atlantis.
This has never been there,
and now we can see it again.
We expect that there
will be something
from the old Bulgarian cuisine.
And from the Thracian,
and from the Roman,
and from the Byzantine,
and from the Bulgarian cuisine.
What are your impressions
after everything that happened
with the historical park?
Is there a place in Bulgaria
for this type of tourism?
Of course,
not only that there is a place,
this is vitally important for us.
The difference between
cultural tourism and
alcohol tourism,
is that alcohol tourism
spends about 500 euros
on one vacation
and we make a lot of money.
Cultural tourism spends
between 3 and 5 thousand dollars
on one vacation
and it contributes to the development
of the environment.
Think about it,
if you are in a company
of low-intelligent people,
drunkards, drug addicts,
focused only on sex,
after a year or two
you change.
On the contrary,
if you are in a company
of cultured people,
this will affect you.
The environment
affects us a lot as people.
By introducing a new type of tourism
in Bulgaria, we will change
the very nature of Bulgaria.
I repeat, the event that was
the moment of the discovery
of the historical park,
this is an event without drunkards,
without alcohol and without drunkards.
This is wonderful,
what you are saying.
How will you popularize
the historical park from now on?
How will the world learn about it?
What we have done,
we did not wait to build it
to popularize it.
We have already popularized it
all over the world.
The whole world is talking
about the historical park.
We have done this, yes,
throughout the years
we have worked in parallel
in various missions.
Now, what is left for us
is the final touches
to make the historical park.
First, the representatives
of the tour operators,
the representatives of the open museums
to come and see, to be convinced
in what we have done
and gradually to start
connecting the flows on their own.
So, we have done the work.
We should not wait,
as in the other,
that I do not want to go first
and then run.
In the same way,
this year I have come
and during the construction of the historical park
we have ensured
the tourist flows,
the direction in which we are moving
and now we just have to move the ship,
we have to set it on fire
and launch it into the open sea.
Where are these tourist flows expected from?
From many countries.
There is already an interest.
There is an interest,
so this year we will have
from Macedonia,
we will have from a few thousand Chinese,
we will have this year
tourists from Russia,
we will have this year
tourists from Germany,
we will have this year
tourists from England.
Now there are Spanish tour operators
who want to take the rights
for Spain, Morocco
and Latin America,
at least strong in these territories.
We have bloggers from many places,
from Japan, Indonesia,
from all over Europe
and we are already starting with them.
From France,
from Romania
we also have agreed
tourist flows
and we are already starting
step by step
to fill the park with foreigners,
with Bulgarians.
We are trying to do it smoothly
so that my own staff can work.
We are not in a hurry
because sometimes when more people
than we can accept
we get a negative
and we want everything to happen
in the right way.
I don't want to ask a question
but it is important
for the Bulgarians
in my opinion.
I read somewhere
what is the price of the income tax
which will be.
There are stories
that
it is a bit high
for let's say
a family of four
who wants to visit the park.
Probably when you were thinking
what this price will be
you put in arithmetic
everything
you estimated.
But still
I ask you, isn't it a bit high
this price?
So we went backwards.
Think about it.
I want to have a nice home.
I have to pay a higher price
than
a more expensive
home.
So if I rent this home
and I pay more than the price
sooner or later I will fail.
And then I won't have this home.
In Bulgaria
we want to have nice things.
But we are used to
not paying for nice things
and paying for bad things.
I will give you an example.
There is an aquapark
with a ticket price of 40 RIL.
A family of four goes there.
The aquapark is absolutely
cheap.
But people go there
because they know the price
of the aquapark.
I go to the cinema in Sofia
and there are tickets for 18-19 RIL.
22 RIL for an hour and a half
or two hours.
And still I go to give them.
I go to *** which is in Sofia.
It costs me at least 30 RIL
to eat one salad
and one main course.
Nothing else, just a salad
and a main course.
And I see so many people eating,
drinking, consuming.
I go to the store.
I see construction workers.
They come back.
They take a ticket from ***
and a box of cigarettes.
This is something that costs 30 RIL.
This is a matter of priorities.
One person chooses
what to feed himself.
Should he feed the good
and make the environment better
or should he always live
as a victim and ask for something
for which he has no money.
I also noticed one thing.
We made a demo project
to see how people
will accept this type of installation
and whether we will do it well.
There is no way to make such a big park
if we did not make a demo project.
There was a night at the museums.
We decided to join in
and help the people
who have no opportunity
to come to the museums at night.
It is not good for a person
to chase some kind of end of life.
Do you know what happened?
People who had a lot of money
I saw it on the cars.
On average, the cars cost
from 60 to 250 RIL.
There were women who were
investing 20-30 RIL
for silicone.
This is a type of investment
from a man.
And there were children
who were always innocent.
The children wanted to look
and see.
But the mother said
that she did not have time
to drag the child to say
that she saw him
and to go to the next free place
assuming that they did not have money.
I understand.
And the last question
that I will ask you
is when you complete
this project,
what will you do?
I will not finish it
but what I decided to do.
I want to return the money
from this project
because I also took a bigger risk
than I could have taken.
I just have to return the money.
It does not matter when.
After I return the money,
all the income
that I get from it
I decided to donate it
for schools.
I want to invest more money
to develop people in Bulgaria.
To make them better.
Many employers are afraid
that there are no people.
How can there be people
if we do not create them?
If we are capable and knowledgeable
we must strive to pass this knowledge
to other people.
This is my dream.
To give more people
the power and knowledge
to have more strong people around me.
One thing I know.
I am strong and I am not afraid of death.
When it comes, I will do everything I want.
I am not afraid of it.
But I see that my children
are not like me.
And they will never become like me.
Because children usually live
in a slightly different way.
But if I manage to build
a society of mutual assistance
I have no problem with my children.
Because no one will compete with them.
And they will help each other.
It is not necessary for them to be
the highest in society.
Let them be what they want to be.
But there should be people around them
who notice them, who are ready to help them.
And they should be people
who notice others and are willing
to help them.
This direction will lead everyone
from Syria to the end of their lives.
Good.
I wish you success
in all your endeavors.
I wish you to complete the park
as you imagined it
in its final form.
And to continue doing
what you just told us about.
At the end of our conversation
I will offer you a story
that you know very well.
The story about the tree.
A father had four sons.
He wanted to teach them
the wisdom of his years of experience
and most of all
to teach them not to judge
things too quickly.
When the boys grew up
their father decided to give them a lesson.
He sent each of them
to observe a pear tree
which was far from their home.
After all the boys completed
their tasks and returned home
their father gathered them
and asked each of them
to describe what he saw exactly.
The oldest son was
near the pear tree
in the winter.
He shared that the tree
looked terrible.
It was open, it looked like it was dry
and its branches were covered
with ice and snow.
The second son went through the spring.
He did not agree with his brother
and said,
the tree was fresh and green
but it was also open.
It was overflowing with life
and it looked full of promises.
The third brother
wanted to visit the tree in the summer.
He told everyone
that the tree was covered with flowers
and it smelled sweet.
I was charmed by the view
and I thought
that I have never seen anything more beautiful
in my life.
The youngest brother was near the tree
in the autumn.
He said,
you are wrong.
The tree was fully ripe
and it was starting to bloom.
And around it was
an unknown satisfaction.
After he listened
to his sons,
the father smiled and said,
you are all right
because each of you
has seen only one
of the seasons in the life
of this pear tree.
Remember
and never judge
a tree or a man
for one of his seasons.
Satisfaction, joy, love,
wisdom
that determine the essence of life
can be measured
only when
all the seasons have passed.
If you consider yourself
victorious in the winter,
you may lose the promise of the spring.
You may not see the charm of the summer
and you may not feel
the satisfaction of the autumn
because only the season
waits
for a better morning.
Dear friends,
be persistent, follow your dreams
to wait
for a better morning.
The path is not passed
by a person who is persistent
in his actions.
I introduced you to Evelyn Mikhailov.
I am waiting for you next week
at the same time.
Stay tuned to TV1.
