Hello, and welcome to another guided meditation.
Just so you know, these meditations are biblical and they are Christian-based.
This ministry is about Jesus and about coming to Him in the discipline of stillness and meditation.
Today is all about stillness before God.
Be still and know that I am God, says the psalmist.
And today, we are going to do just that.
So please, allow me to open us up in prayer.
And as I pray for you, feel free to loosen your neck, your shoulders, your body.
Stand, move around, sit.
And just find a nice comfortable place where you can sit or kneel,
however you want to be still before the Lord Almighty today.
Heavenly Father, we thank you.
We honor you.
We just say, come.
Come, Lord.
And by your presence, come and still us.
Lord, right now, I just speak to anxious thoughts and minds and hearts.
And I say, come and be still.
Come and be still.
Come and be still before the Lord.
Thank you for this time.
We pray this in Jesus' name.
Amen.
Well, let's begin by starting with breathing.
We're going to breathe in deep.
And we're going to release nice and slow.
Let's do it together.
Breathe in.
Now, breathe out.
Breathe in.
Now, breathe out.
Keep going.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Now, do it on your own.
Same thing.
Deep and out.
And each time, feeling your body relax.
Just feeling the weight of the world going off of you.
Thank you, Jesus.
Continue to do that on your own.
Now, be quiet for a little bit.
I want you to focus on stilling your physical body.
And I want you to imagine the presence of God wherever you are.
In your room, wherever you may be.
May your main focus be stilling your physical body.
And focusing on the presence of God in your area.
Let your only movement be your breath.
Going in and out.
If your mind wanders, it's okay.
Just gently bring your attention back to the Lord.
Back to his presence.
Back to his face.
Remember, Jesus is the image of the invisible God.
So, if you can imagine Jesus, you can imagine the Lord of Glory.
Remember, our goal is stillness before him.
So much of our lives are filled with noise and words and thoughts.
How often does this take place?
When we can simply just stop and be still before the Almighty God.
If it becomes difficult to control that mind, just bring your attention to your breath.
Knowing that your breath is a link between you and God.
And as you focus on your breath, you focus on that link between you and God.
Now, I want to release you and let you do what you want to do with the Lord
for the rest of this meditation.
Pray with him in your mind.
Sing to him softly in your soul.
Just look at him.
I just feel I should let go.
Say, do as you please with the next portion of this meditation.
Spend your time with him the way you would like.
Very good.
I want to encourage you to find those moments in the day to simply stop where you are.
And just be still before your God and your Father.
There's something special about this act of stillness.
Something very special in our relationship with the Lord.
Allow me to pray for you.
And until we meet again, Father, I thank you.
I thank you for whoever is listening.
And Lord, I say yes to your plans and purposes for them.
And Lord, I ask for strength in their inward man to come to you and simply be still before you.
That you may reveal yourself to them in a way they would never thought possible.
Thank you, Lord, for my brother or my sister listening.
Bless them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
