Catching GIANTS Without Live Bait - First Solo Trip Offshore Got Crazy!

all right good morning guys we are out on our first solo trip today on the boat and I wasn't even going to film uh I'm just kind of going to follow Brock around today play with the boat and uh just get used to it and uh I dropped down this new bait it's first time I've tried it first time I dropped one hooked up baits uh I'll put a link in the description but uh first drop check this out freaking stud flounder so uh I got the camera out we're going to start fishing let's uh let's get going so we're out here in about 86 ft of water on some hard bottom uh Brock's over there they're catching bait we're going to go further out we're just going to drop artificials all day so Brock finished catching bait for his clients and we headed out to a shipwreck and I was tying on a catch fishing jig to drop and see if I could hook a giant i just marked a big one so I was using my brand new Chaos spinning rod spooled with 40 lb Tassline braid oh why' I do this right away I was pretty sure I'd hooked a big AJ really got to hustle and fight with these to try and keep them from getting back down into the wreck i knew I had him up off the bottom so getting into structure wasn't a threat now and I just had to concentrate on getting them up no matter what the size of the amberjack they always seem to push you to your limit all right guys we got a nice amberjack here i don't know if I want to catch many more of these today that thing wore me out got them on the catch fishing double trouble that jig just kills it they can't resist it so uh we're going to let him go see if we can find maybe one more i can barely pull line out with my hand and that sucker was just ripping it out oh god all right golly that was quick these beasts are so much fun to catch come on all right I got them whooped now maybe you catch a handful of these and you'll pretty much be ready to call it a day yep i got a shark on them yep you can see the shark here to the left of the fish my only worry here was just getting him in before that shark got a hold of him you're after a shark they're here all right guys another fun size AJ uh put up a good fight i was wondering why he came up all of a sudden big old shark chasing him so we're going to let him go i'm sure by now you've noticed the beautiful new flooring in the boat this was done by Safe Floor of Alabama in the coming weeks I've got this high speed i knew that shark was still around so I didn't want to mess around and lose the fish dang he green stop i'm trying to let you go bud trying to let you go all right guys last AJ not big but that last one wore me out so we're going to let him go you think if I drop a small jig down and just slow pitch it on the bottom those AJs I'll leave it alone here let's slow pitch the catch tackle i knew where there's some snapper and grouper that were down there oh yeah the problem was getting past the AJ's to get your bait down to the snapper that was on that little little copy bar the Oh I knew I was going to lose that that was a AJ i didn't want to hook it gosh dogg it no that was a shark all right Brock's boat's about to land one come on get him get him hey Caleb nice it's more fun to watch somebody catch one than actually catch one oh my god there's like a hundred fish down there right here all right I think this color is going to do it oh they're still out there so we had a school of amberjacks behind us busting on top and I had a massive blow up on this one unfortunately I did not hook him he tried we decided to get away from the Ajason sharks and go drop on some natural bottom so I got out my slow pitch setup and started dropping my catch fishing jig to the bottom there we go red snapper just had a buddy follow yeah those were good ones today oh dang here's a big smash of fish [Laughter] there we go it's snapper this is the time of year when just about the only fish you can keep this close to shore are trigger fish and bee liners red snapper nice one though yeah that's a good one you guys have a safe trip back to Missouri oh he spit out a big snake no it looks like a freaking snake really all right another red snapper so Brock's client's charter was over he had to run them back in but I stayed out and kept fishing there we go oh yeah this a big red snapper there we go what is this is that AJ i can't tell what that is oh big red snapper big red snapper whoa got him woo got a nice nice red snapper here big old brute but they're out of season so we got to let him go and he doesn't look like he even needs to leave in it he swam straight down all right guys we are fixing to do a little trolling on the way back in uh been a lot of Spanish out here got the X wrap and flash minnow we'll get that X wrap out first we got a lot of activity right here i just got hit there we go we're on oh got off but he came right back for it there we go all right what do we got no just lost them all right fish on is that Spanish yep good Spanish all right all right all right oh look at all those Spanish right there all right we're on what I got it's a little one oh don't lose them get them in yeah got another one all right we want to make some fish dip so we're going to try and get at least four of those Spanish here shouldn't be too hard oh I'm on all right oh I got cut off dang it lost an X wrap that sucks come on one more all right last Spanish oh this feels like a big bigger one nice and easy all right get this guy on ice and we're going to call it a day all right he's a decent one it's nothing big but keeper at least hey thanks for
