Good morning. Welcome to the vlog. Welcome back. We... What? I just wanted to do like a stage
entrance type thing. Lucy's like, what are you doing running around the apartment? Today,
baby room. I'm currently sat in our baby's nursery, which doesn't currently look like
a nursery, I will admit. So a little bit more progress with that today. It's Monday. We've
both woken up with fresh energy. We've both been a little bit sick for the last week
or so. But today's Monday. We're working out a little bit more energy, a little bit more
motivation to have a good week. So I hope you guys are all doing well. How are you doing?
Please let us know in the comments. Is it the run up to Christmas for you yet? Are you
not wanting to think about Christmas yet? Have you started a new job? Have you got a
new pet? I want to know what's going on with you guys. So please comment below what is
going on with you right now. Good morning. Good morning. I know what you're going to
say. What? That we need to move these. Yeah. Right now? In the next half an hour will be
great. Lucy was just saying that she doesn't like my hair. I don't not like your hair.
Don't make me sound nasty. You do it as how you want it. I don't know what your hair is.
I know my hair. I know if I like ruffle my hair, what it will do. Your hair's not my
hair. Yeah, but it's wet. You say that your hair, George has got this theory that if he
leaves his hair like it is now, by the end of the day, it looks how he wants it to look.
But that has zero logic because it means the entire day he doesn't like his hair. By about
nine o'clock. At nine o'clock, he's like, great. I look good now. Because it gets a
bit ruffled up, a bit more curly. But if I do that now, I screw myself over for the
whole day. I promise you. Don't be crazy. Just do a little bit. And then use your hair
spray if you want. But keep going. That's better than it was in my opinion. Okay. So
these are our new doors that are going around the apartment. We have one, two, three, four.
So we have door for this office slash baby room currently. We have the bedroom door.
We have the bathroom door. And we have another bathroom door. We managed, we managed to get
these. We love this star. I can't remember what the name is, but it's like got these
lines down. They're nice kind of off-white doors. Not expensive. We thought those were
going to be super expensive, but £35 per door. Pretty good. So I now need to move them
because our fitter, my friend, is planning on fitting these doors one evening this week.
So I need to. Well, that's not the reason we're moving them. Is it not? The reason we're
moving them is so we can build baby furniture here. That as well. That as well. But, um,
so we need these doors out of the way first thing today. And I'm hoping I have enough
room to swing around. They're not too heavy. It sucks that I can't help. It's kind of awkward,
the shape. But I've been off the gym. Oh God, don't drop it. There we go. I've been off
the gym for about two weeks because I've been sick. So as you keep mentioning. Lifting things.
You're not someone that can just be ill and just be ill. You tell everyone. I talk about it for
the whole month afterwards. Yeah. Lifting things. Why don't you get upright? I haven't been doing
much of, so. You said you can just put them flat on the floor. Flat on the floor. Otherwise
they're going to bend, aren't they? Yeah. All right. One of four. One of four. We're going
to get sweaty. My hair's going to go crazy like Lucy likes it. So maybe that's a good thing.
And just a very quick kitchen update. Um, our fit's changed. The work tops are now on correctly.
As you guys know, they're damaged. They are now fitted and cut to the exact size we need them.
All of our stuff is back out here. We need to put this into cupboards,
but they've been like properly fitted here. You can see that it's been like cut to shape.
It's now the width it's going to be. This is obviously going to have a cover over it. It's
not just going to stay looking like that. We've also had a hole cut for the sink. This is our
beautiful sort of matte black sink, which we love. It's really, really big as well.
Right in front of the window. Obviously the tap needs to go on that. This is a hole for
washing machine, the dishwasher. We've got a hole cut for the hob as well. We've got our new oven in
and yeah, it looks awesome. So it looks so, so nice with like the white fridge and everything.
Obviously here we're going to need to come up with some sort of solution, whether it's tiles
or a sort of splash back kind of thing. I've got loads of options, but the kitchen's getting there.
I think by the end of the week, Zach reckons the kitchen's pretty much done, including we've got a
unit to go up on this wall here with like a little wine rack and some lights underneath it. We've
got to put the upstands around the edge. There's also a marble sort of going along here and also
the kickboards underneath need to be fitted. But apart from that, we're getting there. We're nearly
there. Is that the last one? Yeah. Good. Four doors done. You should see the carpet in there.
Really? Super clean. Oh, clean? Yeah, because we... Is the rest not clean? I don't know, because we had
new carpets. Then we put these doors under and then we've taken the doors off and the carpets
are really clean underneath. That worries me. The rest of the carpet's not. I don't know. It's
totally different colour. Oh dear. But we have room to build baby furniture now. Good.
That's heavy. That is my morning workout sorted for today, two weeks off the gym. That's really
heavy. One, two, three, four, two more inside boxes going. One of our family members, very kind family
member, has offered us a little bit of storage for stuff that we just can't keep in our place for now.
We've got a busy day because we're about to go and meet Lucy's grandparents and then we're taking
these boxes over. First I want to pick up some coffee, all in about 20 minutes. I always think
we have longer than we do. Let's go. Always time to pick up a coffee. I always make time to pick
up a coffee, even if there truly isn't time, but we've had a busy day so far. We now need to go and
drop off these boxes and then on with the day, on with the furniture building. But shout out to these
guys, The Coffee Camp. If you're from the area, I'm not sure how many people who watch live in this
area or from the area, but I know there'll be a few of you in Findon. Highly recommend, delicious
coffee. Okay, so we've just arrived at a place called Roger's Farm. Never been here. It's a
garden centre. Oh, it's a car wash. I was wondering what that noise was. We're meeting my grandparents
for a little bit of lunch, so I don't know how much we'll film. We probably won't really film
anything in there. Well, we will just have some quality time with the grandparents and have some
food and have a little look around. I assume they've got Christmas decorations out already.
Yeah, I bet they do. Could have a little look around. There's a car wash right there. I want to get this car
washed. Yeah, I don't think you can right now. We've been borrowing my dad's car for months now. Months.
I was like, Dad, we're coming back to England. We're going to sort our own car out. Any chance I can
borrow your car for a few days, months later, still in the car. Because usually when we come back to
the UK, we are hiring a car because we're only ever here for four or five weeks. This time, we're here more
permanently, so we need a car for ourselves. We can't just hire cars because that becomes very
expensive and we can't borrow my dad's car forever because it's my dad's car. So, car update. Car is
on the way. It's been ordered. It's very exciting. We will reveal that when it arrives. Hopefully this
month. It's supposed to be this month, but I'm just eyeing up that car. They've got a Range Rover Sport
BMW 5 Series. So clearly car people go there, so it must be good. That's what that's telling me.
If there's nice cars at a car wash, it tells me it's a good car wash.
Look at this. Okay, this is one of my current dream cars. I wasn't sure about when it first
came out, but look at that beast. Brand new Defender. Maybe the James Bond film helped.
Okay, we now have an empty boot because we have dropped off all the boxes. We now have a lot of
room in this car for the baby furniture, which is at my parents' house, which is right here.
So we're picking up that. Then this afternoon we can build that. We also, my parents said they
had something for us as well. So we're picking that up as well and then we're going to get home.
Okay. As you can see, another fully loaded car. Why are there so many boxes in our lives? This is
our mattress for our baby and it's so long. I could probably sleep on this. I'm pretty sure our baby
only needs like this much. Yeah. We're going to show all this furniture properly, but this is
actually from Silver Cross who have gifted us this mattress and the cot and some other stuff.
We'll show you properly when we build it and when this room's ready, but huge thanks to you guys.
We are very excited to see this stuff in action, in the room that it's finally designed to properly
be in. And as you can see, this car is once again full. I don't want Lucy to help me too much,
but this isn't too heavy. And that is why I've been so grateful that we've had this car because
if we had any smaller car, we wouldn't be able to get any of that in. Success.
Latest Amazon purchase, a shredder. We had a load of old, whilst we were out of the UK,
we had so much post that our family were keeping for us. And a lot of it's rubbish,
but stuff you don't just want to leave laying around or throw in the bin. So we thought we'd
order a little shredder and spend some time. I find shredding paper one of the most satisfying
things ever. Current situation, an hour in. We are getting there with the building. We'll keep
you updated on that. But right now it's my favourite time of the day. And today we have
for dinner, pie and chips. Lucy's in here. It's all systems going here. My good friend,
Zach, who you saw last time eating burgers when we went to see James Bond. Now here he is in his
natural habitat. Can do it all. Fitting our kitchen. Looking good. So we got a little,
Lucy gave a full kitchen update earlier, but we have a new unit going in there. Sorry.
He's pushed me right inside the fridge. He's totally backed into it. Hectic and chaotic in
it. But dinner is ready. A classic pie. It's not ready. Don't show that. That's it. That's
all we've got. We do also have some peas and some oven chips. Chips for the second time today. We
are not afraid to admit. Just wanted to quickly show you guys something that George's parents
have given us. Look at this. How amazing is this? I'm going to quickly talk you through a bit
because it's so nice. They've basically put together a really beautiful baby hamper for
the baby. I don't like this angle. Okay. I think that's worse, but we're going to go with it
anyway. Okay. So I'm just going to go through it because it's so nice. I just want to share it,
document it because it's so, so sweet and really exciting. So the first thing is these tiny little
booties. They're really soft inside. So nice. Very handy. A bottle brush. There's some really
cute things in here, but also some super practical things that we're definitely going to need. So
it's like a double gift. It's like, some things are cute and like adorable. Some things are like,
that is very needed. So for example, very cute little bunny that's got a bell inside.
A wool sea sponge. A sea sponge. It's just a sea sponge, isn't it? It's not a sea sponge sponge.
Yeah. This little Tommy Tippy trainer cup for when they can start drinking. Yeah. Four months
plus so they can have their little hands on that. Tiny little baby brush, which is so cute when he's
got some hair. I wonder if it will come out with hair or not. Some babies are like bald when they
come out. Some have got a full head of hair. Cotton buds. These mini socks. They're so sweet.
In a few different designs. Little bears on. Pseudocreme. Pseudocreme. Pseudocreme. Cotton
wool pads. Hair and body wash. Really nice brand there as well. More cotton wool pads. Very,
very handy. These bibs, which are so sweet. The little elephants on and a few different other
designs. These little sea themed muslin squares with like seals on. Little, what's that? Little
seagulls. Little fishies. Some body suits with animal prints on, which I love. Some bath and
body wash again. Some moisturiser for babies. Nappy sacks. Very handy. Some washcloth head,
top to toe wipes. Talcum powder. See, I'm putting this all out in the desk in front of me and I've
got to put it back in in a second, but it's worth it. Another little cream pot, but just a mini
version. And then we've got these baby grows here. Again, in these like really sweet sort of like a
safari kind of pattern. A grey one with a little tiger on, which I love. And then this back one's
got loads of elephants on. Nappy rash cream. Some more moisturiser. A Neil's Yard baby balm,
which smells amazing. And lastly, the more Pampers wipes. And it's all in this really
handy hamper that I think we can use as like a nappy bag. We can even have this like in the
lounge or like in here and we can just grab it. This is going to be super, super handy to use
anyway. So it's like a double gift. Our parents have been so generous and sweet. They're all so
excited to be grandparents. My mum's already a grandparent. My mum and her boyfriend, Jez,
have already got grandchildren. But it's the first time for my dad, step mum and Geordie's parents
as well. And they can't wait. They've already been spoiling him big time. Like my dad and step mum
have bought us buggy and all the like accessories for that. So we'll show you that in a vlog very
soon once that's all set up. It's currently all in boxes, but I thought I'd just show you this
one today because it's easy to get to. And then my mum, like you saw in the vlog, she keeps buying
him things when we first got home. And then since then, every sort of few days she messages me
saying, I bought something for the baby again. So they're just so excited, our parents. And
I'm excited for them because I think loads, I think, who was it that said it?
Geordie's gran actually said that it's, it's one thing becoming a parent, but becoming a
grandparent, it's like, it's very special in a very different way. And I think they're all really,
really excited. And I can't wait to see them become grandparents and look after our little one and
bond and spend some really nice time with them. And it's so nice to be back in England with them
to be able to like experience this journey with them as well. So we're very grateful for our
parents, if you're watching. Not just them buying us stuff. I don't mean just that part, but like
them just being there for us. So I'm going to pop all this back and then we're going to finish
building maybe just one piece of nursery furniture tonight because it's already quite late. It's
really in the evening time. It's really dark outside and the nursery is coming together. Soon
I'll be able to pop all these things in like their homes and where they're actually going to live.
And we've got to tackle the rest of it, but it's so exciting. And seven hours later.
It was only two hours, about two, wasn't it? About two hours to do that. Not bad. We have a beautiful
changing unit. These handles are so nice. We'll show this properly in its setting when it's ready.
Once this and the other bits are built, we'll do like a proper nursery tour. Exactly. But as you
can see, still a little way to go. All that needs to fit in this and the wardrobe. Indeed.
So we are... And that needs to be covered as well. Yeah, from myself, Lucy and our boiler,
we're going to bid you farewell for another video. So thanks so much for watching.
Hope you enjoyed the vlogs. A thumbs up would be very much appreciated. Appreciated? Not appreciated.
It's tired. We need to sleep. It's tired, but you're tired. So short vlog outro. Please subscribe
We'll see you next time.
