Guys, welcome to a brand new video.
Today is a big day because I'm wearing gym clothes.
We're both wearing gym clothes, which is unusual for recent times because the gym has opened.
We just got a message from Jojo, the manager there.
Fitness Army and BGC has reopened.
So that means, Luce, we've got to work out.
She's gone.
How do you feel about that?
I feel great about it.
I mean, we no longer have an excuse.
I know, we don't.
Ready for the gun show.
Honestly, if you've been watching the vlogs.
The guns have disappeared.
Same.
I'm not even going to show you mine, man.
I've got...
Yeah, let me sit down and explain.
So yeah, we got really into the gym end of last year and through the lockdowns when it's
been open.
And then basically the gym closed for the longest time and it's just reopened today.
So we're going to head there today.
Do a small workout.
We're not going to make this a workout.
the mistake that I've made so many times and stopping and starting the gym where you basically
go to the gym, you're all excited, you're overexcited, you do more than you probably
should in one session and end up giving yourself...
We want to avoid DOMS, which is delayed onset muscle soreness.
A little bit's okay, but we want to try and delay that.
So we're not going to rush.
I think I'm going to do like a 10 minute run to warm up and then my old weightlifting routine,
but very, very low weights.
We'll film a little bit.
It'll probably look like I'm really weak, look silly, but there's no right or wrong
in the gym.
Actually, there is wrong in the gym.
There's wrong form.
But if you're just starting to go back to the gym, don't worry about looking like you're
lifting heavy weights.
I'm going to be using really, really lightweight today just to get into it for the first week
or two weeks.
I'm going to very slowly reactivate all the muscle groups and yeah, basically just excited
to be working out again.
And I think for our mental health, this is going to be awesome.
I'm going to try and get into like four or five day working out routine again, getting
up early again, going early in the morning, hopefully, and having that kind of daily appointment
because what we do is YouTube.
We often don't have to be anywhere at any certain times and Lucy and I don't like having
too many appointments or like meetings or being somewhere at a set time.
We don't really like that much.
So we are fully in control of our time, which is insane, which is we love it so much.
But it does mean that we don't really have to get out of bed at 7am in the morning.
We could get out at nine or 10.
So having like the gym as that daily occurrence and daily appointment to go to and do, I think
that's going to really help us get a little bit of structure back.
So yeah, I lost, I'm looking and I'm feeling okay.
Lost a little bit of muscle in, well, since the gym has been closed.
Shoulders, I was getting a little bit wider.
I feel like I've got a little bit slimmer again, but I don't think I've gone right back.
In 2019, I was pretty slim and skinny.
So I don't think I've gone right back to that, but we're back on the muscle building guys.
So something funny just happened.
We were so excited about the gym.
We get in the car, we'll drive in there the same route as we haven't, as we used to do all the time,
but we haven't done for ages.
And we, Georgia goes, oh, we forgot the camera.
So I'm now filming on my phone because we forgot the camera, we were too excited.
But we're in the car park.
This was our daily routine for so long.
I wonder if it's busy, I bet it's not.
I don't know.
Our usual space is available to park.
Oh, they're reversing into you, yeah, cool.
Yeah, I don't think anyone goes to the gym the first day it opens, do they?
I think people have been waiting for it to open.
But yeah, I'm not going crazy either today.
I used to.
Oh, there's a new restaurant.
Is that new?
I don't recognise that.
Should we just eat instead?
No one will know.
Oh, it's another Korean place.
God, there's so many Korean spots around here.
It's literally like Koreatown of BGC.
Yeah, and I always...
A5 Wagyu meat.
Wow, awesome.
I literally used to just work out for the first one back
and then I couldn't move.
If I had to go upstairs, I couldn't go upstairs.
I'd be really in a bad way for a whole week
and it would put me off working out.
So the plan today is just to take it easy,
not get cocky, not get overexcited that it's open again
and just try and do less than I feel like I should do.
Always do less than you feel like you should do, guys.
Less is more.
Number one ruling, just always do less.
Then you can't be disappointed.
No way, you can be.
Ignore me.
We're back.
I don't know if I'm ready.
Should we just go home?
I don't know if I'm ready for this.
There's still time to go back.
I'm hungry as well.
Oh, no.
Uh-oh, it looks busy.
That was enough.
That'll do.
Two stairs were enough.
That was literally enough of a workout.
See, my fingerprint still works.
Maybe you have to have it more flat.
Hold it for longer.
Yay.
No way.
Oh, no, no, no way.
They're like, juicy vlogger coming back.
Oh, there you go.
After you.
Yay.
Thank you.
How are you?
Good, hi.
We've just been shouting.
I've just realised how quiet it is.
Right, let's fill the waters up.
It's time for the all-important weigh-in.
Okay, so I was trying to put on muscle before
and I got up to,
I got from 75 kilograms
up to 84.
Wow.
That's what I did before.
Okay.
So 84 was my max
and I was heading up higher than that.
So let's see.
So as long as I'm not-
Back to 74, five.
Below 75,
then we haven't lost too much progress.
Whoa, okay, good.
80.
80 on the dot.
Cool.
Wow, 80.0.
So we're somewhere in the middle.
You only lost four kilograms.
I lost four kilograms of muscle.
So it should take you two months
to get back to where you were, technically.
Yeah, probably put on a little bit of fat.
That's good.
That's actually not too bad.
Yeah, I'll do mine as well.
I think I was 64 or 65.
Yeah, I've lost weight.
I've lost weight because I've lost muscle.
I've lost like two kilograms just under.
So we're both in a fairly good position
to be starting again.
Yeah.
Okay, first workout back done, complete.
We went light, but it was harder than I thought.
And I'm a little bit,
feeling a little bit shaky and weak right now.
So I'm going to make some food,
going to make my shake,
and I will share with you what I put in my shake
because whenever I put on my story or something,
I get questions about it.
So I'm going to use a Nutribullet.
So we're going to have some strawberries.
Usually I'd also have ice,
Didn't fill the ice tray up this time.
Almond milk as the base.
Actually, this is a new one.
This is the almond milk we use.
Should shake this up a bit.
Unsweetened, unflavored.
Fair bit of that.
Frozen spinach.
That goes in.
Collagen.
And I swear this stuff is helping my skin.
A scoop of this,
which is loads of good green stuff.
Basically, if you never ate vegetables,
this would be all right.
Yeah.
And this stinks.
So you have to hold your nose when you put this in.
And when you drink it.
But in a shake, you can't really taste it.
Cinnamon.
Now this is Ceylon cinnamon,
which is apparently a bit better for you.
Higher quality.
Has a lot of health benefits.
Turmeric also.
A high quality turmeric.
Cacao nibs for a little bit of antioxidant.
Chia seeds.
Few of them.
Good protein.
Health benefits.
And two scoops of this whey protein.
I've got chocolate flavor at the moment.
I usually like unflavored, but chocolate will do.
One.
Little bit of coconut water.
Oh, that's quite a lot.
Two.
And finally.
Oh yeah.
This is going to get too full.
Peanut butter.
We get this keto peanut butter,
which the ingredients is pretty much just peanuts.
Nice big spoon of peanut butter.
And a whole banana.
Now we're going to see if the Nutribullet can handle this.
I promise you, that is so good.
And it's even more-
And it's even-
It's like when you make coffee when I'm filming a vlog.
I'm not going to speak now.
I won't do it again.
You will.
I won't.
It's even more-
Okay, we've honestly just crashed a little bit.
Been playing some PS4.
And decided to book a massage later on
because that's now allowed in the building.
And yeah, that's something to look forward to
because for some reason my neck's hurting
and I don't think I pulled any muscles
because I really couldn't have done,
but I just feel like a massage
after the first session back is going to be a good idea.
Why are you calling it a massage?
You always say massage.
Massage, massage.
You've always been a massage person.
Now you're like, massage.
Massage, I don't know.
Anyway, Lucy's cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
What do we have here?
We've got some organic brown rice, whole grain.
Get your whole grains in, very important.
Why are you tipping it?
I don't know.
Should I come with you?
It's like a music video.
Loads of broccoli, like way too much, but in a good way.
Out.
Loads of cashew nuts, some chicken,
onions, some of this, which is called skinny seasoning.
It's like a soy sauce alternative,
which is not filled with loads of salt and things.
It's like a healthier version.
Uncle Roger would hate this.
He would, he'd hate me.
What else?
I don't know, that's it.
Like a simple egg fried rice, but a healthy addition.
Do you still speak to Uncle Roger?
No, it's been a while.
Did you fall out?
He used to like all my pictures,
but he doesn't like any anymore.
It's probably because he saw this kind of thing.
Yeah.
Okay, I'm going to share something
a little bit special with you now,
which I did show on my Instagram the other day,
but for the first time ever,
we are trying the, look, it's not even,
it's not even branded up yet.
This is the Juicy Vlog, not the Juicy Vlog,
the Juicy Pale Ale.
This is, if you don't know,
if you haven't seen the vlogs for the last,
when did we go there, Luce?
A few weeks ago?
Really?
Yeah.
Oh, time flies, man.
Okay, so over a month ago,
we teamed up with Elias Brewery,
which is one of our favorite craft beer places
in the Philippines, hands down.
And they kind of said to us,
do you want to kind of collaborate on a beer together?
You guys can kind of choose the name.
You can like help with the branding
and the design and stuff and the flavor.
And actually you can help making it.
It could be an experience for you guys, which it was.
The vlog here is where we went to the brewery
and started kind of the whole process of making the beer.
And it's ready.
And there's a can of it here.
And I have, they sent four cans.
I've already had three cans.
It's that good.
But I wanted to save this one
to experience with you guys on the vlog.
And I have to say, I'm not being biased.
It's an awesome beer.
Lucy has designed the branding that's going to go on here.
We're going to show that in this vlog?
Okay, yeah.
We'll wait until it's,
we've got like a prototype with the branding on it.
But I quite like this.
I'd almost like to sell it like this.
I think that's illegal because like-
Oh, really?
You have, you, you,
it's not even legit, isn't it?
Lucy just said it's probably illegal
because you need to put certain information on cans.
Anyway, let's crack this open and have a taste.
Wish you could taste it through YouTube,
but I'll try my best to describe this to you.
Okay.
Ready for that satisfying noise?
Yes.
Now, the smell,
the smell is incredible.
It's juicy, it's fruity.
And when I first smelled this, I'll be honest,
I was like, okay, it smells incredible,
but it smells like it's going to taste
a little bit too fruity and a little bit like,
oh, okay, they've made a juicy beer
and they've made it super fruity
and it's a bit of a gimmick, but it's not.
The taste of this, look at the colour, first of all.
Try and show you in the light.
Brighten this up a little bit.
So my first impression was like, okay,
maybe it's going to be a bit of a fun beer,
limited edition, bit fruity tasting,
but, oh, I love it every time I have some.
Somehow they've made the smell more intense
than the taste with the juiciness and the fruitiness.
It is super easy to drink, super juicy.
This isn't even really me promoting this yet
because it's not out, you can't buy it yet,
but it's coming soon.
And I would be honest, if I preferred one of the other beers,
you guys know I love the mixtape beer
that Elias do as well, and I now prefer this.
I kind of want to do like a side-by-side taste test
just to be sure, but I would be honest with you guys
if I said, yeah, it's really good,
but there's some other beers I prefer.
Genuinely, my current favourite beer,
and there probably, of course,
is some psychological stuff going on
that I helped create it and I've been excited to try it,
but I love craft beer, I love pale ales.
Soup is 5%.
Soup-
5.5.
5.5?
Yeah, they added a 5.5.
Have they?
They must have tested it.
Wow.
So it started off 5%, it's now 5.5%, so that's strong,
but it doesn't taste strong, so it's one of them
dangerous ones.
The taste isn't too heavy, it's very fresh,
it almost tastes, I wouldn't say light,
but it tastes easy going, easy to drink.
It does have a bright, juicy taste,
and it's not too fruity.
Okay, before I drink this whole beer, I'm gonna stop.
What day is it today?
It's Monday.
Is it Monday?
Yeah.
Happy Monday, guys.
Hope you all had a good Monday so far.
Lucy's making up some cookies.
I'm about to book my massage, and then we are gonna watch-
There's a film that Lucy wants us to watch this evening,
which is called-
It's something, it's like a woman comedian
that falls in love with a man on an airplane.
Did you hear that?
Woman comedian falls in love with a man on an airplane.
I'm not sure how you can fall in love
with anyone on an airplane.
One, it's noisy.
Two, it's uncomfortable,
unless you're flying business class.
Three, these days, must be pre-COVID,
because I don't think you're gonna fall in love
with anyone with a mask and shield on, are you?
What's that smell?
Cookies. Cookies.
Wow.
Wait, does it smell bad?
I'll admit, it doesn't smell great.
Oi!
It doesn't smell great.
What does it smell like?
We're trying out this cookie mix
that we bought in Real Food.
It smells like chicken nuggets left over in it.
Oh, what do you mean?
So yeah, that's what we're gonna do this evening.
I need to edit the vlog.
Maybe I can edit tomorrow morning now.
By the way, guys, thank you so much.
So many of you guys came to our support.
We didn't-
Yeah, we weren't asking for you to do that,
but it's so nice to read.
We referenced in the vlog that went out before
about some comments that people are saying
that our vlogs are boring.
Firstly, don't have to watch if you think it's boring.
We don't have to go there again.
We've already done this.
Yeah, true.
But so many of you guys were commenting, saying,
your vlogs aren't boring.
We love your vlogs.
Keep doing what you're doing.
We read so many lovely comments every day,
but it's actually so nice to hear that.
So if you comment something really nice on our vlogs,
just know that it gets through,
way more than the hate and the trolls and all that.
That doesn't get through.
But if you say something nice, that gets through to us.
And we really, really appreciate that.
So thank you so much.
And we know it's totally fine.
That's the beauty of YouTube.
That's the beauty of online vlogs and videos
and storytelling and content production.
That is the beauty of social media,
that you can really choose what you wanna watch,
when you wanna watch it.
It's fine if you only wanna watch our videos
when we're on an amazing island,
doing an island hopping tour.
It's fine if you're not into those videos
and you prefer to see us going about our day-to-day life.
I know a lot of people just like watching
someone's day-to-day life when they're,
maybe like today when we've gone to the gym
and we're making cookies and eating food and stuff.
Maybe you only wanna watch us when we're in Japan
for a couple of days on a little bit of a travel adventure.
And you wanna come with us on that.
Maybe you watch us every single day,
no matter what type of video we put out.
And we know that's a lot of you
because YouTube gives us the stats behind the scenes
and that is a huge majority of people who watch every day.
So thanks to you guys.
But yeah, however you watch us, however you interact,
however often, how many times a week,
if you skip through the video,
if you watch half the video, whatever it is,
if you watch all the way through, we are grateful to you.
So thank you for spending some time with us.
I feel like I got a little bit emotional there.
I'm sort of starting to tear up.
I think it's cause I'm sat under the air con
and I've just downed half of that beer in about 10 seconds.
But I just stopped the camera and I said to Lucy,
that really came from the heart, what I just said.
I'd already stopped filming.
Then I realized that you guys have changed our lives
by watching these videos.
I think I'm drunk.
No, but I mean it, I mean it.
Like the life we're able to live
because of YouTube is insane.
It's just unfathomable from where we were a few years ago
because of these videos we put out.
So thank you.
I'm gonna enjoy the rest of this beer
and try not to get even more drunk.
