We used to hang around town pretty late, I spent the week thinking about our next date.
It was easier then, so much easier then, like the time I picked you up outside of school.
You said screw my dad I'll make my own rules, it was easier then, so much easier then.
Good morning guys, good morning, hope you're all doing well.
I'm out of the apartment, I'm on my own because you can only leave,
one person per household can only leave at the moment during this ECQ and only for essential things like food.
So that's what I've come out for, I've done a little run to pick up some bread because we ran out of bread.
Welcome to a new vlog, it's been the first time since maybe 3 or 4 days leaving the house,
leaving the apartment and driving around here, it's been like a ghost town.
Which is so unusual for BGC, it reminds me of the first 2020 lockdown.
It doesn't seem quite as quiet, I think a lot of businesses and services have been allowed to remain open.
So I think for example Wildflower where I just bought bread from, that's open, I don't think that was open the first time.
And amazingly, Arabica is open, the coffee shop that I like.
And those guys are still working in there, all the staff that we know in there, they're still working.
People are trying to park here, maybe I should move.
I will be able to grab a coffee on my way home, I also need to get fuel.
I think the gas stations remain open, hopefully, because we have 17 miles and my light is on.
Yeah, got the food, gonna swing by Arabica.
They've got online ordering as well, if you can support those guys, they are still working.
So I think it'd be nice to swing in there, buy a coffee.
Yeah, then we can get on with quarantine day, I don't even know, six or seven by now.
Hope you're doing well, let us know where you're watching from in the world.
So coffee and then back into quarantine in the new apartment.
We'll go and see Lucy, see what she's up to.
Welcome to a new vlog.
Thank you very much.
So this morning we're having, once again, Lucy's famous bagels.
Don't film that, that looks revolting.
What's that?
It's avocado, it was frozen, so you have to defrost it.
Okay.
But it doesn't look great.
No, it doesn't look great, but I'm sure it'll turn into an absolute masterpiece,
because this bagel the other day was, okay, bagel update.
Apparently mine is nearly ready.
Update.
Food is on.
It looks like a monkey.
That's like a monkey going.
Oh yeah.
Yum.
I'll be able to make kids fun lunches.
I want to make World Cup lunches.
Oh my, wow, all the food you're going to cook our kid, our baby.
How's the bump today?
Same as normal, really.
Apparently it's going to triple or double, triple.
The baby and the bump are tripling in size in the next three weeks,
so get ready for a big growth spurt.
Although I still think I look too big for how far along I am,
so maybe I've already had the growth spurt.
You do look quite big.
Maybe it's just been a massive baby.
This is also a massive breakfast bagel, cheese, egg, avocado, onion.
Thank you very much.
Okay, something very exciting just happened.
My day has not been great, if I'm being honest,
because I've had a migraine all day,
and I've pretty much spent the entire day in bed.
Isn't that right, George?
That is correct.
And it's still very much there.
Whoa, look at the time.
It's like six or something, I don't know.
But we got a text, we got actually an Instagram message,
from our friend Sophie, who lives in Manila.
It's Sophie from Everyday TV.
You guys may know Sophie and Nick from Everyday TV,
and Sophie's mum, Laura, has just been in England and brought us back.
I mean, it's in a Tesco bag.
They must have given us a bag on purpose,
for pure nostalgia reasons.
This is a Tesco bag.
They don't have Tesco bags here, right?
They have Tescos in supermarkets here,
but I've never seen a Tesco bag here.
It's already very exciting.
And I think there's some stuff inside,
so we're going to have a look through it now.
But this has been shipped all the way from England just for us.
Obviously, they came back anyway.
They didn't fly to England to retrieve this bag for us,
although that would be lovely.
No, they were so nice.
Sophie sent us a message saying,
hey, I've got a chance to get some stuff from the UK.
Is there anything you guys are craving, anything you miss,
anything you want?
Yeah, we had two requests,
and I think there's a little bit more than the two requests in here.
So, huge shout out to Laura as well, Sophie's mum.
You remember we met Laura in Uptown?
Yeah, Uptown Mall.
Uptown Mall, years ago.
And we still haven't met Nick and Sophie,
and we want to, but ECQ.
She was actually going to meet up with us to give us this,
but because of ECQ, we can't.
So, it was a grab delivery, unfortunately, today.
It's just a little pick-me-up, a lockdown pick-me-up,
which is very much needed today.
Yeah, and to be fair, the stuff in this bag
is way more important than actually meeting them, isn't it?
So, our two requests were as follows.
Chili, oh, she said I bet they feel broken.
They feel perfect.
Really?
Doritos Chili Heat Wave.
So, the only Doritos I've seen here are corn flavour.
This colour is a nacho cheese flavour,
and I think that's all I've seen here.
There might be a couple more,
but Chili Heat Wave are just,
I have a nostalgic memory of being in year one in school,
and these are spicy for kids.
They're spicy for adults.
They're spicy for me?
Yeah, so they're going to be spicy for kids,
and I remember being a show-off,
and I had all these boys around me,
and when I'm like, I don't know how old you are, like seven,
and I was like, I could eat a whole bag of these
without a sip of water,
and they all watched me eat this bag of chip crisps,
and they were like, wow, you can do it.
So, it's this weird memory I have.
I think it happened.
Oh, yeah, so very excited for them.
Second request was this.
A bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk.
We actually had this.
This recent time was in Manila
because Kim and Tom sent it for Jordi's birthday,
but it was very melted, wasn't it?
Do you remember it had gone to mush?
This is actually feeling pretty solid.
And just to prove,
you might be thinking you can buy this here,
which you can,
but it's totally different.
The UK version, I promise you, is so different.
Something along the lines of Birmingham,
or see this here, Birmingham.
That means we're in good hands.
Yeah, the Malaysian, Indonesian,
or even Australian does not taste the same as this at all.
It's like a different chocolate.
It's so different.
This is addictive.
I don't know what they put in it,
but it's so addictive.
I could sit and eat this entire bar in 30 seconds.
No joke.
So, that's the stuff we requested.
And then I think there's also a second little goodie bag here
with some more stuff in.
This is so exciting for us,
with a little note as well.
Lucy and George,
massive congrats again on the amazing news.
Hope you enjoy Sophie and family.
That's so sweet.
And then, this is like a lucky dip.
This has made our lockdown, to be honest.
Snacker Jacks, another school memory.
This was always in my lunchbox at school.
Honestly, these lockdown days have been very samey
and not a lot happens.
So, this honestly has made our day today.
George, I've just seen something
that not only have I not had since being in Manila,
something I haven't had since being 12 years old.
Oh, really?
Hmm.
Hubba Bubba?
Take another guess.
I think you can get it.
Chupa Chups?
No, wait.
I don't know.
Millions?
No.
Close?
Think of school packed lunch, sweet thing.
Winders?
No way.
These are my lunchbox again.
These are the OGs.
How did I guess that on third guess?
And it's a double one, so we can have one each.
Oh, yes.
We are sorted for Netflix session tonight.
Toffee crisps.
Oh, yes, please.
I'll eat that right now.
And then loads of these little things.
These are...
Ooh, what are these?
Great British Pudd's flavour.
You know these little...
I love these.
I'm addicted to these.
Oh, my mouth's watering.
One of my cravings has been sweets.
This is perfect.
Lemon meringue pie, apple pie and custard.
I guess that's like a new edition of them.
Rhubarb crumble, sticky toffee pudding.
A time out.
Very nostalgic again.
Pick up.
Oh, you'll love that.
That's a bit of biscuit and chocolate.
Used to have them in my lunchbox.
Yeah.
There's so much stuff.
This is so sweet of them.
These are like party bags at school.
Oh, sure.
What are they called?
Violet.
Parma Violets.
Oh, my goodness.
Did you guys...
Comment below if you've had these in your lifetime.
These were like the favourite when we were kids.
But you get big ones as well.
Have you ever had the big ones?
No.
They're like this round.
Are you serious?
This reminds me of...
Do you remember in school if it was someone's birthday,
you'd bring in a big multi-pack of sweets.
Yeah, definitely.
And you'd line up at the door at the end of class
and I'd pick one of these fancy ruffles,
raspberry and coconut bar.
Amazing.
Raspberry and coconut fondant with dark chocolate.
Wow.
I can't believe how much they've sent.
That's crazy.
Wagon wheel.
More of these.
I didn't know there was this much.
I know.
They're amazing.
Kinder.
That's your lot.
Wow.
So kind.
That's so nice of them.
In a Wilko bag.
Amazing.
This is so nostalgic for us
and we hugely appreciate it.
Yeah, we really do.
huge shout out to you.
Thank you.
Guys, check out Everyday TV on YouTube.
That's Sophie and Nick's YouTube channel.
Yeah, you've probably already seen some of their videos.
We get comments all the time saying,
why aren't you guys meeting up?
We would have done over the past...
We nearly arranged it over a year ago,
but then the whole pandemic and stuff.
I'm going to try one of these now, quick.
Okay, try one of those.
Okay, ready for the first smell.
The smell is what gets me and I might start crying.
The supreme warning, I may cry.
Really?
Oh yeah.
And the ones, the darker ones are better
because they're the ones with the most flavour on.
We need to get involved.
Wait, get a close up on that bad boy.
Oh, wow.
It's been a long time.
I can't believe it.
Seriously.
Do you remember what I said to you about these ones?
I said, if they're everyone offer,
I'm going to buy a bag and eat the whole thing.
And I did.
Yeah, true.
They're so good.
I don't even know why they're so good.
It's just, it doesn't taste of chillies.
It's just like a nice warm, like...
It's just...
It's just addictive.
Oh, it's hard to explain until you have this flavour.
It's so good.
They should so have this flavour in the Philippines.
I don't know why they don't.
But spicy food isn't as popular.
They should do like a bicol range.
Oh yeah, that's a good idea.
So we are going to end off this vlog here.
Another huge thanks to Sophie and family.
Lucy also got some flowers today.
Yeah.
I thought there was a secret admirer
when this turned up downstairs, but...
Maybe there is.
I don't know who it's from.
These are really, really nice.
This is a lovely lady called Hannah
who has a company called Oimoi.
I've had a few earrings and necklaces from them before.
And she sent me some flowers to congratulate us,
which is really sweet.
Really, really sweet.
And they smell very strong.
Smells so nice.
Not yum.
No, not yum.
I'm still thinking about the food.
We're going to relax and enjoy this food.
Try not to eat all of it in one go.
I promise it.
Yeah, we might get a little bit overexcited.
I assume you want to split the bag of Doritos now.
Yes, please.
And then we'll regret it tomorrow.
But thanks so much for watching, guys.
Thanks for watching these lockdown vlogs.
We know they're a little bit different, but...
We want to check in with you.
It helps us more than anything in these lockdown days
where we can't do much to be a bit creative,
make a vlog, and check in with you guys,
read some comments.
And we know a lot of you prefer travel vlogs.
Obviously, if we could travel, we would travel.
But we also know a lot of you prefer laid-back,
chilled vlogs, hanging out with us at home.
So, whatever you're into,
if you're still watching at this point,
we assume you like this type of vlog.
So, huge shout-out to you.
Comment below if you watched to the end.
And we'll see you in the next Daily Juice.
You haven't said that in a while.
I know.
I feel like we've lost it.
Come on, let's get that back.
Daily Juice.
Goodbye, guys.
