Good morning guys, welcome to another daily juice.
Now you may be thinking this doesn't look like the mountains.
This isn't the north.
Where are you guys?
Where's your car?
All right, we owe you an update.
So last night we were sat at a service station around seven hours away from where we are now
and we were thinking where should we stay?
What should we do?
We want to do this, we want to do that.
What makes the most sense?
And stupidly we all agreed to drive from somewhere a couple of hours away from Sagada
all the way down to Manila leaving at 10 o'clock at night.
So we arrived in Manila about, stop it, we arrived in Manila about 4 30 this morning.
Checked into a hotel, slept, it's now midday and we're going out for some breakfast.
But this is all for a very good reason.
We've not cut the road chip short.
We're doing it for two reasons.
One, we're upgrading the car.
We're getting a bigger car, we're getting more space.
And number two, we're heading south.
It's so crazy being back in Manila after pretty much a full week or longer
in the north of the Philippines.
It's just so different.
Nine days.
Nine days we were up north.
Wow.
Hope you enjoyed the north road trip vlogs.
We're heading into the Curator this morning in BGC.
It's my number one coffee place in the whole of the world actually.
I'm not joking, it's my favorite coffee I've ever had in my life.
Is it here?
Is this it?
Yeah.
Yeah, we're going to grab a morning coffee.
It doesn't have anything fancy from the outside, but it just tastes so good.
It is good.
It's like a hidden gem.
I say morning coffee, but it's like midday.
But we wanted to get enough sleep to have enough energy for today.
A great coffee this morning at the Curator.
Now we're off to, what's it called?
Yardstick.
Trying out Yardstick for breakfast this morning.
Recommendation of one of you guys.
Ah, perfect.
Let's try it out.
Yeah, then we're excited.
We're seeing our friend Andy again later for some coffee.
And we're picking the car up today.
Another new vehicle.
Does that mean we need another new name?
Yeah, of course.
Oh.
We can't take Waggy all the time.
Oh, we got-
Volkswagen is-
It kind of works actually.
It's still a Volkswagen.
It's still a Volkswagen, but maybe we could go for a different nickname within it.
Yeah.
Because it's still part of the same family.
Waggy is a family name.
And waggy, and wag, so waggy-
It's vloggy, so waggy Volkswagen.
Waggy Volkswagen.
Vlogswaggy.
Or we just like pretend that Waggy's evolved.
He's grown up.
We just come to him in the morning and he's grown.
Yeah.
Like a Pokemon.
No, I like the whole family name thing.
So it's Waggy Volkswagen is the family name with the full name.
That's so complicated.
And then he's got something else, Vlogswaggan.
So we need to think of a flat name for the next car.
All right.
It's white.
What can we call it?
The new Strada.
That's a nice looking coffee machine.
Leave Mike to it for a minute.
Yeah.
Mike is in heaven.
Nice.
Cold brew system.
We could get our swag on it.
This might fit in the new car.
Lydian Classic.
One of the greatest home espresso machines.
Really?
Yeah.
Looks like we might have found a nice spot here.
Coffee looks good.
All day brekkie.
That's what we need.
That is a very good sign that they're doing all day breakfast.
Little espresso maker.
Yeah.
That's what we had in our apartment in Miami.
Oh, really?
As a matter of fact, in Austria, in our apartment, we also had this coffee machine.
Really?
I was very sad to sell both of them.
It looks like overkill for an apartment, but I'm sure it pays off.
Just to show how excessive I am when it comes to coffee.
One of those machines cost around $7,000.
We had one apartment in Austria and one in Miami, and I had one of those in each spot.
One in each.
But in all fairness, we did use them for business as well.
So we do coffee events and pop-up coffee shops, and we've used those machines.
So it wasn't just for the apartment.
Amazing.
But most of the time, they were at our apartment at home.
This place is more or less like a coffee museum.
They've got loads of coffee machines dotted around.
They've got all this kind of stuff set up here.
Things on the walls.
I think they take their coffee quite seriously here.
Filling your coffee.
What a nightmare.
I'm into a hard drive.
So guys, if you've got any recommendations for things that we should do in the south of Manila,
we're still on the same island.
I guess you'd call it an island, right?
We're going to be doing this for quite a few days.
So we can go fairly far down south, probably.
But just comment below any suggestions you guys have or anything you think we should do.
Places to visit.
Things to see.
We've heard there's whale sharks.
There's amazing beaches.
There's volcanoes, waterfalls.
It sounds amazing.
I think going south is the second most recommended thing after going north.
We've done north.
Before that, we've done a lot of the north and we've absolutely loved it.
Two times we've done it now.
It's time to try something new.
It's time to go south.
So breakfast is definitely more lunch or eating closer to dinner.
How's the ravioli?
It looks so good.
I've gone for the Sriracha chicken.
In Austria, we would say Sriracha.
Americans say Sriracha.
So I don't know how to pronounce it properly.
I don't know.
It's basically a chili sauce.
Yeah.
Very popular.
Nice.
It's really tasty.
Very colourful.
I enjoyed this one for the breakfast which is on its way to being finished.
Is it good?
So this is our final ride in Waggy.
We're all very sad about this.
However, we're picking up Waggy's old...
Swaggy.
Waggy's older brother.
I think Volkswagen and BGC are having a little homecoming party for Waggy.
We wanted to get him washed.
To take Waggy through the car wash before coming back.
So we apologize that Waggy is slightly dirty from the mountains.
We did have intentions to swing by a car wash before returning him.
However, we didn't really seem to pass one and we're here now.
So it's kind of difficult.
It's not entirely true.
I saw a car wash.
I wanted to go in and Lucy straight away said,
Mike, no, this is a brand new car.
You want to take it to a car wash that is really nice.
If you have one stone on a sponge and someone touches his car with it,
this is game over.
This is true.
We need to be nice to Waggy.
Let the professionals wash Waggy.
We've returned home.
We're at VW.
I don't want to give Waggy back.
Hi.
How are you?
Good to see you.
Thank you.
The new wear.
Hi.
Hello.
Welcome back.
Thank you.
Oh, hello.
Something about Waggy.
We just want, since you named the car,
it's the first time we have a car.
We want you to put it on.
So good.
Waggy is being officially named now.
Don't get it wonky, Mike.
No pressure.
Had a very warm welcome back at Volkswagen BGC.
Whole team's out here to greet us
and greet Waggy back to the showroom.
And we're having the official naming ceremony right now.
Nicely done.
Thank you.
So funny.
I love it.
It's great.
It's time now to say goodbye to the Volkswagen Levida.
However, we have a new vehicle just over here.
It's a Volkswagen Tiguan.
So it's me taking over.
No, please.
You're the pro.
Yeah, it's fine.
Coffee.
Ambulance.
It's a party.
Insane.
A flat white?
No way, really?
They know us so well.
Oh, amazing.
Nice.
Well, they've got some flat whites, some orange juice.
Amazing.
You're welcome.
The team here know us so well.
They've got our vlogs on the big screen here.
And they've picked us up a flat white each,
which is absolutely incredible.
Some snacks, some water.
And the new car is waiting for us just here.
Those guys are good.
Is that not just like a lorry?
Next time.
Yeah.
Wow.
We don't need a commentary.
You can all come with us.
Come with us.
Look at that.
Shit.
No way.
That's so good.
Can you imagine that?
Making it juicy on the floor.
This is so nice.
It even comes with our vlog.
Look at that.
That's insane.
Seats.
It's so nice.
Power outlets with every seat.
Oh.
USB.
Wow.
They've got our vlog on the screen.
You're driving.
Of course.
Look at that.
Get some cold beers in there.
This is making saying goodbye to Wagyu a lot easier.
But guys, get commenting below what the next one's going to be called.
So Volkswagen is its surname.
What's its first name?
Something kind of similar to Wagyu.
They're definitely siblings.
Get commenting and we're going to pick it in tomorrow's vlog.
We just found out that we can charge our laptops in the back.
I need this.
Yeah, so it's over there.
You can charge your laptop there.
That's the one thing that we needed and we now have it.
Perfect.
How cool is that?
So good.
So, so nice.
Thanks so much again to the team at Volkswagen BGC.
So, so friendly.
Such great people.
We are taking the car later this evening.
We're off for some dinner now.
Going to meet our friend Andy Smith for some coffee.
You normally say people's last names to you when you like say your friend Andy.
So we can't actually take the car because of the number plate.
In Manila, some areas you can't drive certain numbers on certain days.
And today's the day you can't drive that car out of BGC before 8pm.
So we're going to hang around here for a bit.
But we're planning on staying here for one more night anyway.
Hitting the road tomorrow morning fresh.
We arrived in Manila at 5am last night.
So we had a good sleep.
We're resetting today.
Hit the road fresh tomorrow morning.
Thank you.
I know we've said it, but thank you so much to the guys of EW.
Yeah.
Amazing people.
Incredible.
So guys, the time has come again where we need your help.
We need suggestions for driving south of Manila and exploring that area.
So comment below.
You guys know what to do.
Send us a message on Instagram.
Send us a DM.
Send us a Facebook message.
Whatever you fancy.
Get your suggestions in.
What's up, man?
Hey, man.
How are you?
Good to see you.
What's up?
Looking sharp.
Yeah, I know.
I was supposed to wear the shorts thing.
Yeah, I thought you were going to wear shorts.
Hey, but Mike stepped out.
Great couple of hours with Andy at the Shangri-La Hotel.
We came here for a little drink and a little chat.
Really, really nice place here.
Very nice.
Look at this background.
Look at that.
So different from the mountain.
We're now off for a nice dinner at a Greek restaurant that we tried to go to the other day.
When was that?
Like a week and a half ago?
Oh yeah, I say the other day.
It was like two weeks ago.
But it was fully booked.
So tonight we've booked.
And we're late.
As always.
So the food's just arrived.
And we've gone for loads.
Actually, I feel like we've ordered for maybe double the amount of people than that hair.
But it's fine.
So I had a comment on my Instagram.
Yeah, on my Instagram story.
Somebody saying, oh, you ordered six dishes for four people.
And we're like, really?
Yeah, we eat them up.
Thank you.
Back at the hotel now.
And we should be having some coffee delivered for our next leg of the trip.
Do you remember them ones that...
What was the name of the person that dropped the coffees to us?
Kay.
The coffee was so good.
We've actually contacted the company that make it.
Look at this.
The company, guys.
Get in touch.
Coffee delivery.
This is going to save us on the road each morning.
We are very, very happy.
I don't have enough.
So I just gave you some.
Oh, incredible.
Guys, this is the stuff.
I'm telling you.
I've been working on it.
These beans.
Brines them perfectly.
We have these single serve packages.
If you have a coffee maker at home, you have just the ground beans.
Yeah.
But this for traveling is perfect.
You want coffee, contact them on Facebook.
Yeah, we'll link it below.
We'll link it below.
Yes.
Thank you.
