Welcome to this week's Inside Interior.
The Department of the Interior is
proudly implementing President Trump's
One Big Beautiful Bill Act, a landmark
effort to unleash American energy,
expand timber development, and cut
burdomsome regulations. Under Secretary
Bergam's leadership, the department is
restoring leasing access, lowering
royalty rates, and advancing the
president's energy dominance agenda
through this legislation. In support of
national security, the department has
transferred 285 acres of public land in
southwestern Arizona to the Department
of the Navy. This temporary national
defense area will help close critical
border security gaps and protect both
the public and the environment from
ongoing activities by illegal immigrants
through the coordination between federal
agencies. The department has also
launched a bold initiative to recover
critical minerals from mine waste
essential for America's economy, energy,
and defense. This secretary's order will
turn abandoned mine sites into sources
of strategic minerals, reducing reliance
on foreign imports and powering
America's technological future. Abroad,
President Trump's historic trade deal
with Japan includes a new LG deal that
expands US energy exports, strengthens
economic ties, and boosts job creation,
further advancing American energy
dominance. Domestically, America's AI
action plan is setting the stage for US
leadership in energy innovation. And I'm
saying that the policy of the Trump
administration is more energy fast and
an understanding of how important it is
for the AI arms race.
>> By investing in AI powered
infrastructure and research, America is
securing its energy future and leading
in the global technology race. Thanks
for watching Inside Interior. We'll see
you next week.
