Mikhail SHAIDOROV (KAZ) | Men Short Program | ISU World Championships | Boston 2025 | #FigureSkating

Well, technically this guy is a phenomenon. He's been a little bit hit and miss this season. But, as I said before, in the Four Continents, he was just unbelievable. Mikhail Shaidarov from Kazakhstan. Quad Lutz Triple Toe. The walk in the park. Pushed a little bit hard into the forward outside edge of that axle. Just a crazy entry into that quad toe. Just amazing. Well, that combination at the beginning really did set the tone for the program. He is a phenomenal athlete, this guy. Those quads seem so easy, don't they? Mikhail Shaidarov from Kazakhstan. Remember, he won the Four Continents Championships. The free program that he put out there was something else. And he's made history several times this season. He's the first ever skater to land a triple axel Euler quad sow. He's the first to land a triple axel quad toe in combination. He really is pushing the boundaries of the sport in the technical side. And it does, it looks so easy for him. It does. The triple toe in combination looked open in the air. Yeah, when you look at that quad Lutz or the quad toe, I mean, he could go around again, couldn't he? Here it is, quad Lutz. Triple toe. And his triple axel. I thought he slipped off the takeoff a little bit. Yeah. It looked like he didn't quite get over the ball of the foot, did he? You need a little bit of pressure on the ball of the foot. He's losing one point for that triple axel. Nothing major. I loved this entry into this quadruple toe loop. He's earning three points in the grade of execution for that triple toe loop. Quad toe. Sorry, quad toe. It looked like a triple. Yes, you're right. Yeah, it's crazy, isn't it? You've got a quad toe and you think, let's try and make it a little bit more difficult. We'll put a little hop and a lunge, and then we'll do the three turn and get into the... It doesn't bear thinking about. So, 93.64 is the leading score. Remember, it's Kevin Amos out in front. But not anymore. 94.77. Mikhail Shaidarov for Kazakhstan goes into the lead. Amos into second. Agatse in third place.
