So Team Canada back in action again here.
This the team lying in 10th place.
This is Lea Pereira and Trent Michaud.
They got a tango for us.
Really super twist this up.
Make the toe loops out of sorts there.
Should have been their sequence.
They need this.
And he doubles on the Salco.
That's going to affect the GOE for that.
Triple Salco.
Yeah, I love the concept of the program.
And you can see the emotion there.
Fantastic team effort.
A couple of mistakes in there with the side by side jumps,
but it started off so well with that triple twist.
Lea Pereira, Trent Michaud from Canada.
Remember, they're lying in 10th place at the moment.
They really won't want to drop out of that position
if they possibly can.
Oh, disappointment for Lea and Trent today.
It really was a tough opening.
It started with a great triple twist and at a level four.
But both the jumping elements, which usually are this team's strength,
were really difficult today.
The first sequence usually, when done to their usual standard,
will earn them around 11 points.
And today they're getting one point seven eight for that element
to put that into perspective.
Positives, there were three great level four lifts.
Both throws were cleanly landed today, though the throw loop does have
a slight minus in the grade of execution.
Of course, they doubled out on the sounds as well,
which is really going to hurt them.
Watch Trent here.
Really loose in the air, comes down under, rotated on two feet
and elects to not do the double axel.
This a really cool entry to a group three hand to hip lift.
We see here the change of position.
Lea is in a difficult position and Trent is on one arm for two revolutions.
That's a level four.
It can be a challenge to connect to a piece of music
that is exclusively instrumental the entire way through,
but I find the pacing and phrasing of their elements
to match the musical highlights, and it makes it an interesting story.
We can see that there's a story happening between the two of them, but
start to the free program today.
Yeah, they need 119.74 to take the lead.
They're not going to do that.
That's just enough to put them into second place.
I think fourth on the night.
Yeah, second it is overall.
So they go in behind the team from Uzbekistan,
but ahead of the British team.
So not what they were looking for, but they gave it their best shot.
