On the ice now, and representing Sweden, here is Andreas Norderback.
So, on the ice now, lying in 17th place, he was brilliant in the short program,
came off and said, that was amazing. It really was. This is Andreas Norderback.
Andreas Norderback.
So much speed into that axel, but it all went away from him.
Came out of the stand still.
Beautiful sequence, triple flip, double axel.
The loop.
Did really well to get the triple toe on the end of that double axel.
Well, it's a deep and dark theme, this, isn't it?
How it ends is the music and the program choreographed by David Wilson.
And he kept that sort of mood, that dark, eerie, mysterious look all the way through,
which I thought was really, really good.
But there were some fabulous elements all the way through the program.
Of course, no quad in the program, so the base value is a little bit lower,
but those triple axels were super.
Yeah, the first one especially, the second one he's receiving a negative in the grade of execution.
And so he'll lose probably, once GOE is factored in, about four points on that, nothing major.
I really like Andreas Norderback. I loved his short.
It was one of the highlights of the event for me.
I think he has a really special quality.
And performance value that is really hard to teach.
It seems to come really naturally to him.
And mixed with David Wilson's choreography, I think he could do really great things moving forward.
Here, taking a look at the triple axel Euler.
Triple saukau, this started the program.
It's really well done.
He has a positive in the grade of execution, a little over 14 points for that.
This, the only real error in the program, the second one.
He's really on a lean in the air.
Over the left side as opposed to the right, really hard to get the free foot out.
This is a part of his choreo sequence.
In the choreo sequence, the skaters must cover the ice and they have to do at least two skating moves.
So they really have a lot of freedom to do anything that they feel fits with the character and the theme of their program.
It's an automatic level one, but the judges will award them a grade of execution for how well they believe they've done that element.
Well, he got 148 at the European Championships this year.
That was his season's best score, 148.09.
He needs 153.6.
He needs to go in the lead.
Adam Hagara leading at the moment.
It is second place and that will put him into second place in behind Adam.
But it is the season's best, so he couldn't have done an awful lot more.
And that's how it looks.
