So two more to go in this fifth group.
And up now, young man competing in his fifth World Championships.
Never been inside the top ten, got really close a couple of years ago where he finished in 11th place.
This is Vladimir Levintsev for Azerbaijan.
Quad toe. And there's the axle.
We really have got a competition on our hands now.
And remember, we've got the top two groups to go.
One more in this group and then the top 12.
It's really, really hotting up.
These guys are putting pressure on each other.
Pressure on the final two groups, that's for sure.
And this guy here, he could not have skated that program any better.
No, and what a different experience for Vladimir from last year at Worlds.
Yeah.
When he failed to qualify for the free program.
And here he's done a fantastic short program.
He's completed almost all of his elements, pretty much to the best of his ability.
He has a couple of reviews.
Yeah, those first two, weren't they?
Top draw stuff, that quad toe and the triple axle were just beautiful.
The speed with which he went into those and the confidence.
The spins were fast.
OK, let's take a look.
First element, quadruple toe loop.
One, two, three, four.
Really, really well done.
Great grade of execution awarded from the judges for the quality of that element.
Here, into his triple axle.
I thought he had a bizarre pattern, straighter pattern than I've seen from a lot of the men,
but it works for him. He did a great job.
This is the only element that has a negative grade of execution.
The flip is in on the cue.
Triple toe is clean though, so he's receiving a minus .68.
Nothing major.
Step sequence only a level two today, so he'll want to improve that in the future
to continue building on his personal best score.
But under the pressure that's in this building today at TD Gardens,
with all of these men having this one goal to qualify for the free program,
and as high in the free program as they can, I thought he did a fantastic job.
Yeah, he certainly did.
Yeah, it's so easy isn't it to drop a turn in the step sequence
and you can just lose a level that way.
So, 83.10, he's in third place.
It's good stuff, it's all smiles in the kiss and cry.
