Somewhere out there, if love can see us through
Hi, I'm Brad.
And I'm John.
Okay, so Tommy released a song, a duet, in fact, this past weekend, along with his niece, Tilly.
Okay, I hope we got the pronunciation of that one right.
He tagged a little thing along on the information from earlier, and what he said was,
No movie has ever meant so much to me through my entire life as this one.
This one being An American Tale, an animated movie from 1986.
And finally, with the help of his niece, Tilly, and her lovely parents,
he can finally release a cover of a song that's the main theme of the film.
Somewhere Out There, the name of the song, was recorded by Linda Ronstadt and James Ingram.
Brad's going to recognize at least one of those names.
Yeah, Linda Ronstadt.
Yeah, for the soundtrack, as I said, of An American Tale, it reached number 8 in the UK,
number 6 in Ireland, and number 2 in both the US and Canada.
I bet that song was all over the net.
No.
And I don't even know the animated movie.
Yeah, no.
I mean, I know the song.
So, yeah, Tony got together with his niece and did a cover.
And that's what we're doing.
All right, well, check it out.
Before you do, make sure you hit that like and subscribe.
Check out the description down below where you're going to find all our links,
information, and stuff that we have down there.
Okay.
Right, I shall be heading. Bye.
Young niece.
So I'll sing a prayer
That we'll find one another
In that big somewhere out there
And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star
And when the night will start to sing a lonesome lullaby
New King of Horses.
It is actually.
There's an awful lot of really good songs that have popped up in Disney movies.
Other animated features.
Couldn't think of Dreamworks.
And, you know, all of those.
This probably is quite easily one of my top ten favorite songs, weirdly enough.
I'm surprised that this song is from there.
Written for the movie and everything.
Just one of those, you know.
What's another good example?
A bunch of Elton John songs.
Oh yeah, especially like The Lion King.
Yeah.
A number of which were obviously written specifically for The Lion King.
And it's kind of like, oh, you just eat it for degrees.
Like you think they're older.
And it's kind of like, no, that was written then for this movie.
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star.
And when the night will start to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there
If I can see us through
Then we'll be together
Somewhere out there
Out there without you
She's not a good singer.
Yeah.
She's obviously a young singer.
Which, the song is good.
There's obviously character revival.
One half singing duet in the movie was obviously a young mouse.
I say obviously, he hasn't seen it.
It was a young mouse character.
And I'm an 80s kid.
I know.
It's like, I don't know how you managed to miss this movie.
Well, I'm 86 other than high school, so that's probably like...
I don't watch any cartoons.
I don't know.
Like I said, I know the song.
I don't know the movie.
It is actually a really good movie.
The second one is okay.
The first one is really good.
Where was I?
Oh, yes.
Again, it's a case of you have somebody not singing in their native language.
When you stop and think about it.
So she's singing at a young age.
I don't know where she's from.
Just because she's Turkish doesn't mean she's not from an English-speaking country.
Okay, so she's also from Sweden, just like he is.
Actually, you can catch...
I'm not going to do this soon.
You do actually catch her accent a couple of times at the beginning.
But her accent's actually slightly less than Tommy's.
I tend to catch Tommy's a little bit more when he's singing than I have hers.
Strangely enough.
But yes, singing at a young age, as I said, not in native language.
Right.
So it was impressive.
And even though we're facing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping under the same big sky
Somewhere over there
If love can see us through
Then we'll be together
But where are they?
Are their dreams come true?
Well, that was good.
Like I said, she's got it.
Good vocals for being as young as she is.
She's got the Tommy hair.
Looking up to her uncle.
He's taking after her and decided, you know what?
It's a really great hairstyle.
I don't know what I was going to say now.
We also learned that Tommy can draw.
Or at least pretend to.
Bit hard saying there.
He probably can, actually.
He seems like the kind of person who would randomly doodle to the point where he's actually pretty good at it.
A lot of musicians have strange...
Well, not strange, but hobbies you wouldn't necessarily associate with them.
Hence, strange.
Actually, it's not just musicians, either.
Actors, as well.
The guy who plays Raelynn on Justified.
Timothy.
Anyway.
He's into pottery.
Well, people do have hobbies other than their job.
Yeah, but it's kind of like...
I mean, I think musicians and actors, I mean, that's their job.
But still, it's kind of like...
Again, it's not necessarily a hobby that you'd necessarily associate with the person.
Anyway, random hobbies.
Well, I don't know. I thought it was good.
And there again, obviously, once again, Tommy down there doing it and having fun with it.
And made us enjoy it.
So we're obviously going to continue hitting them up.
So if you want to see those, make sure you hit that like and subscribe.

We might do more with his niece.
Yeah, that's true. He should.
Actually, I think she has been in a video before.
Now that I think about it.
Because he did the Halloween one.
Where it had all the ghosts and everything.
I don't think she sang.
No, she didn't sing.
That's true.
It could have been backup vocals.
But yeah, because I think in that video, he basically wrote just about every single member of his family.
In it for cast members.
Why not?
Alright, so until then, thanks for watching.
