ExclusiveDisney Brings Back 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

The Jimmy Kimmel Live! show will be back on air on Tuesday, the Walt Disney Company said in a statement on Monday. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday, reads the statement. Kimmel, who has frequently targeted Trump on his late-night comedy show, drew fire for remarks he made about the killing in his monologue on September 15. We hit some new lows over the weekend, with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it, Kimmel said. His remarks angered the conservative and prompted a threat by the head of the top U.S. communications regulator against Disney. Walt Disney-owned ABC said on September 17 that it was pulling Jimmy Kimmel Live! off the air, a move that caused some of his supporters to protest in front of ABC and Disneyland. White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt denied that the late-night show was suspended due to pressure from the Trump administration. The decision to fire Jimmy Kimmel and to cancel his show came from executives at ABC, Leavitt told Fox News' Saturday in America on September 20.
