WHAT A FINISH!! ...But Was It Enough? | Breaking 60 On A 6000y Golf Course

good morning welcome back to the channel my name is andrew it's great to see you welcome to 59 watch volume four my fourth attempt to try to break 60 from 6 000 yards the blue tees at my home course here southampton you're new here we've done this three times first time shot 62 second time shot 61 third time shot 60. so we're trending in the right direction bright and early here it's great we have a quiet golf course perfect greens not a lot of wind actually no wind right now so it's ideal scoring conditions so it's just something where i put myself to the test to try to shoot that magical magical elusive 59. [Music] [Music] that's a little better [Music] oh god was rude [Music] wow oh man birding a part three still waiting still waiting all right [Music] all right hey in the red without damn time all right got out of jail [Music] go go go go go oh boy [Music] all right this is the slowest start we've ever had i typically use like benchmarks when i'm playing this like to try to make this possible and it's like be three under through five six under through nine ten under through 13 and then go from there we're one under through five so we have our work cut out for us [Music] a little bit of frustration in that one holy cow smacked it oh be right [Music] i can't tell i think it's really good [Music] are you kidding me oh my god holy cow you can't freaking buy a bun man so oh boy don't get frustrated andrew don't get frustrated andrew [Music] okay that's what we need wedges to like six feet inside [Music] okay let's get that momo going come on come on [Music] okay [Music] get a lot of really good shots with the exception of the first hole but we're only four or under well uh only four under par through nine like it's frustrating obviously the last couple times we we shot six under on this side i think every time we've shot six under but with the exception of one i mean that was really sloppy made a good hit decent shots and then started hit it really well burnt three edges really rudely which sucked so do the math gotta shoot nine under on the back nine the only way this is going to happen is i need two eagles so both par fives are reachable and then i'll have like eagle chips probably two of the holes maybe three if i get really aggressive so we need some magic on this back nine [Music] yards from the green [Music] [Applause] [Music] that's one eight more [Music] oh my gosh it's like hanging on the lip [Music] oh look at that talk about like things not really lining up your way we burn three edges on the front side hit basically perfect shot 54 yards oh easy birdie but come on [Music] well that sucked [Music] i don't know what it is but like i kind of got in my own head there just really struggling to make a birdie on a par 3 in this freaking challenge [Music] jeez that sucked [Music] oh this is this is frustrating [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] ah seven under through fourteen kind of crappy honestly gotten a little loose maybe just trying to push get a little loose so do the math we need six in the last four holes so there's two birdies two eagles that's gonna take some some magic but my personal goal is now just to tighten it up these last four holes and if i can get to 10 under that'd be great so we don't shoot the highest score in the four part challenge so far okay we've got to look at the first birdie in a couple rounds on a parsley [Music] 500 in the last [Music] had to haul it [Music] eagle eagle finish do you believe do you believe [Music] [Music] okay like 20 feet that thing was a couple feet from really bouncing and releasing but it just sounds so soft [Music] oh my gosh oh my gosh [Laughter] we gotta eagle the last there's a chance there's a chance oh my gosh yeah you know the drill here gotta get this thing as close to the green as i can good drive if i can bend it around maybe he gets like 70 80 [Music] gonna have to pull out from yards 100 yards in the rough 90 yards front pin oh this thing's got to land perfectly and release perfectly ah squirt left a little long little left [Music] [Applause] great effort dude i spread that one my hands are kind of shaking there what a finish holy crap i did not think we were going to shoot 61 today that's for sure uh but we shot 61. what a finish seven under in the back nine it's the best back nine yet so um that's promising next time just need to choose 600 on the front nine like i said so uh yeah that was a bit of an emotional roller coaster that finished i uh birdie in a par three was huge and then great little birdie on 16 and 17. wow what what a putt to go in so so close so many burnt edges on that front nine but that was a real test in like my my focus and not getting frustrated uh shooting 59 is no joke this is going to be hard to close out these rounds to make this happen got to hit your wedges close got to make the putts got to bury the par 3s and then pop in an eagle somewhere and you did it we're too off today hope you enjoyed that video give it a thumbs up if you did subscribe if you're not subscribed and we'll see you in the next 59 watch which will actually be in ottawa for the september edition because i'm going to be up there for a little bit so i'm going to try to break 60 on the course that i grew up at from about 6 000 yards so see you then peace
