OH SO CLOSE!! (but yet so far away) | Breaking 60 On A 6000y Golf Course

i know at the end of the last 59 watch video i said the next installment will be coming from ottawa but unfortunately i did not have enough time or availability on the golf course to make that happen so we are back in jacksonville we're back at southampton for the fifth installment of 59 watch for those new here the 59 watch is me attempting to break 60 from 6 000 yards not from a full-length golf course from a shorter length golf course but not so short that it's just a pitch and putt 6 000 yards is the blue tees here at southampton and obviously if and when i do this we'll move it back a tee but here we are right now fifth attempt maintenance crew is still working it's bright and early the sun is just starting to rise so enough chit chat let's go have a hit and try to break 60. oh hold the crap out of that [Music] oh making birdies on par threes is so hard so the greens are a little shaggy we've had a lot of rain last couple days so i don't think they were cut this morning they're gonna be a little slow a little bumpy but can be really aggressive i guess out of that well for those who've been watching for a while this is without a doubt the best drive we hit on four man pin high for eagle let's let's let's let's do this stay up damn it i mean it's a birdie but it feels so brutal to hit driver from like 310 to 18 feet and not even have a chance ah slow greens got me okay i fight pretty hard for that one but kept the five off the card [Music] oh man hey what do you know poor swing on a par three [Music] gosh [Music] so looks really good i pull that again dang it i think a bit hard all right we're halfway done and we're five under yes would be great to be six under on this side because like i've said in past videos if i can get through 13 at 10 10 under there's a realistic chance but i'm really happy with how i'm hitting him i'm absolutely pumping driver having 158 there i've i've typically hit seven or no six iron into that hole every time that was nine iron and on two like i was right in front of the green and on four i just smoothed it right to the middle of the green i'm been working on trying to get a bigger turn and when i actually do it holy cow i'm freaking pumping it 10 through 13 these next four holes we got to go like a house on fire there is a par three in there so we gotta make a two we got a reachable par five and two short par four so let's push it through thirteen if we can get nine or ten under ten under is a stretch we can get to nine under we got a chance we've got a chance [Music] so damn it terrible drive trying to kill it [Music] hit that one so bad it went out of frame that was a very bad four indeed so oh my gosh we hit it close on a par three [Music] oh yeah that feels amazing finally birdie this hole in the first and five times all right go go go go go go go go go go go oh my gosh that thing just started bobbling a little as it slowed down and missed so we're eight under with five to play birdie in to do it but hey you can do it just gotta bury it that's simple andrew break break oh my gosh that thing didn't move at all keep cutting oh baby that could be really good let's do it okay very eagle birdie come on come on [Music] [Applause] [Music] just like on 10 i thought it was going to come out a little hotter from the wet rough from 80 yards and it's like 10 12 yards not enough in the air those are that's a bad bar just like on 10. eagle eagle [Music] okay i guess it went in the hazard so now we got to get up and down the car that's a bit of a disappointing way to end if you will to get 59 off the table sloppy swings on 16 and 17. at least we didn't make a bogey that's enough that's a positive pretty much sums it up damn it damn it on paper 63 it could be disappointing it's the highest one actually of the five rounds but i'm not at all unhappy with that that round sure a couple of loose swings late in the round trying to push but that's kind of it comes with the territory when you're trying to push trying to hit it really hard or stiff it really close the margin of error it's a little bit bigger and hey we didn't finish on a high but that's okay i feel like that was probably the best i've played in this entire series because i thought really well i've been struggling taking my game from the range to the course and and today it was really good to just stand over the ball and kind of think execution target not swing and again a couple of those things got a little jumpy with driver but my watch continues i hope you enjoyed that video give it a thumbs up if you did subscribe if you're not subscribed we'll see you in the next video and we'll see you in the next 59 watch peace
