This is the Formula 40 race. For racers over 40 years old, this is the most competitive class I've raced in so far because it's racers with a lot of experience and it's a mixed class of experts and amateurs. I'm the first one to turn one, but that's going to change really quick. Corey is going to pass me on the I-5 straight right before the cotton corners. Corey is going to check out on me. He's a previous lap record holder at Buttonwillow and I have a lot of improvements to do before I can keep up with him. After a few laps, Armando Castillo is right behind me. Yeah, I was so there was a couple spots he got faster than me, but I was right there I was ready to make a move Wow So LGB was right That's good All right Awesome, I'm so glad once that guy passed me. Well, these guys are next level this guy hit me with the max pass over the i5 I was like what the wheelie right past me didn't really know if you're gonna make it a cop corner, but you pulled it off Excellent job and I had a battle with him at the end is close, but he got me for sure. So it was definitely a good race This is a hard class right here. We're over 40, but that just means we have more experience Thanks So I have to thank for getting me into the NRO Dustin from track days and for actually racing Gigi Thank you so much and LGB LGB called that I would do a 152 today my previous time here My fastest was a 158 so I didn't think that was possible, but he was dead on I had four laps in the 152 at the end. That's Cory Cyrus And I'm like, what the heck is Cory Cyrus being new to the game? But once you've watched this guy on track even 10 12 years ago I don't know how GB pulled him out of retirement But Cory he Cory is quote-unquote pretty much legendary at least in my book in my last 10 years This guy he's not only humble. He's a helper, but he's back. He's here to support CRA I don't know how GB did it but we appreciate Cory and bring his daughter to come help with CRA and Try and bring some fast guys back out to race with us Cory. Thank you.
