This is NOT A RUBIK's CUBE

This is not a Rubik's Cube. Yeah, that's the name of the puzzle, not a Rubik's Cube. Since it is not a Rubik's Cube, there are eight small cubes here, and they're not connected in any way. The goal of the puzzle is to make a 2x2 cube, where each side will have a single color, similar to a solved 2x2 Rubik's Cube. As you can see, there are eight parts here, and each piece is a unique combination of colors. That means that it will be quite a challenge to figure out the way how to solve it. There is a big issue. I'm not a fan of Rubik's Cubes, and I have no idea where... which color on which side of the Rubik's Cube. So this looks like a Rubik's Cube to me, but I'm not actually sure if the red is supposed to be here, blue here, and white here, maybe in another combination. So I'm gonna start with that. But what I have to find is if there are similar cubes here. Okay, already found two. There is... oh my god, there are three already, four, but here the blue is on the left, the red is on the right. Let's see, this is not that one, but it's one. Okay, so there are four cubes here. Which one I have to choose as the corner cube? I have no idea. Maybe this one, or this one, or this one. First of all, I have to figure out if this is the correct combination, or this is the correct combination. It feels like this one is correct, but there are three of those here. These two are actually almost the same, but there is yellow here and red here. There are actually two red colors here. This one is a little bit different. Okay, I think that I'm gonna start with this one and then build everything around it. So the next one here will be again blue with white. But what is the color on the opposite side of the red? That is interesting. I have no idea which one will be on the opposite side. Okay, let's see what combinations do we have here. It can be orange like that. What else can it be? It can be another orange. Oh, if it is orange, there are already two possible combinations. There is one with a red, but red I already have on this side, so that's definitely not from here. There is another, or wait a second, how many? There are two with orange, three with orange, oh my god, four with orange, oh my god. That is absolutely crazy. There are four cubes with orange, so it can be either of these. If it is blue, then this orange, then another orange. What is opposite blue? Maybe it will be green like that. Oh, that looks quite nice. And I have to find like a green, red, and white. Oh, there is no such combination here. Okay, something is wrong in my approach, I guess. This is not correct, this is not correct. Okay, something is wrong here. So probably this piece doesn't belong here, or maybe this piece doesn't belong here. I have no idea. Okay, then let's try to find the white piece that goes in here. Oh, maybe yellow will be opposite blue. Oh, that can be a thing, but let's see if there are other blue, red, and yellow cubes here. I hope no. That's not the one, that's not the one. Oh, okay. Maybe this is the correct one, since there is the only cube like that. And then we have yellow, orange, and white here. I thought that I lost it already. No. Okay, so I can flip it now. I have white on the back side, so all of this with white will be facing inside. Maybe it will help me to figure out what to do next. There is green. Oh, green will be on top, I guess, since there is red, blue, yellow, orange, white on the bottom. So green will be on top. I think that I'm failing here. Something is wrong. Even though the first layer looks absolutely perfectly well made, it seems like it is impossible to set the second layer. Like there is red and yellow. Okay, this one fits nicely here. The next one is supposed to be yellow, orange, and green. There is yellow here with green on top, but there is no orange on the side. There is green, orange, but there is no yellow here. And the last one, the yellow and orange are switched to the other side, so that doesn't look right. Even though all four sides look nice, something is wrong here. This is the correct one. It seems correct to me. Like white, red, and blue. But the rest colors are not in the right places. What will be here? Maybe red and here will be green. Oh, like that. This will go right in here. And I have to find another one with red, white, and green. Oh, and this right here. Okay, this is the first layer again. Let's see. Orange, green, blue, and red. The top one will be... The top one will be... What color is the top? It will be yellow. Even though there are plenty of yellow parts here, I still have to find other pieces that will be with yellow. Oh, no, no, no, no. Already I see that there is no yellow here. Oh my god! Okay, blue, orange, and yellow. Let's see if there is a piece like that. Blue, orange, and yellow. Blue, orange, no, no, no. I see blue, orange, but there is no yellow. Okay, white, orange, green, red. So probably these parts are not in the right place. Okay, there are probably other pieces here that I can put. Let's try. So white, blue, and red. Not this one. Oh, this one works well. Okay, perfect. Let's see. Oh, and that is the one that I was looking for actually. Blue, orange, and yellow. Oh, perfect. There is some progress. Let's see. Red, blue, and yellow. Not this one. Not this one. And again. Okay, there are three absolutely the same cubes. None of them is the one that I'm looking for. Okay, let's see if there is the combination that I'm looking for in the other cubes. No, it is actually here. No, that is absolutely crazy. If it is here, then there is supposed to be another cube with the orange, yellow, and blue. No, there is no such cube. Oh, this is another one. Okay, so probably something was wrong in here. I need to find white, green, and orange. Yeah, this is it. Oh, I'm so close to solving it. And I think this time it will be solved. Let's see. That's what the color here. Red, yellow. No. Well, no, not again. This is the correct one. And the last one isn't correct. I see red, I see yellow, but I see blue here. Oh my god, I wasn't expecting that one piece. Oh, which one is it? Let's switch it to this side and see what I can do with this piece. Maybe changing the perspective will help me to figure out what to do here. That's interesting that this cube can be either here or can be here, but I still need to find one piece that will fit somewhere else. I don't want to start it from the very beginning. It looks so close, but I think that I have to do that. Let's dismantle the top row at first. Take a look at the bottom. There is white, red, blue. Everything looks pretty nice. There are three green colors and three here. Maybe if I grab this piece and change whatever I have here. Like there is red. Oh no, this one doesn't belong here. So it's supposed to be blue, white, and red. Like that. Okay, I don't think it changes anything here since... Yeah, so these are supposed to be like that, but something is wrong. Since there are too many combinations and too many similar cubes that can be placed in the exactly same spot. Okay, white, orange, and blue. Let's see white, orange, blue. Oh, this one can be here and this can be here on top. That is the only piece with no green. What color do we have on the back side? Orange. So what if it is orange, blue, and white? That looks right. There is no yellow in this cube. There is green. It goes on top in here. There is another green with this one and I need another one with green, yellow, and red, but that doesn't fit. Just one piece left to finish this puzzle. Okay, maybe if this goes in here, there will be... Oh, done! This was the last piece. Oh my god, that was quite a challenge. So now we have green, orange, yellow, red, there is white, and blue, and the puzzle is solved. Oh my god, that was a crazy challenge. But the best part is that once you mix it, you have no idea how to solve it again and you will spend another like 20-30 minutes trying to figure out the solution.
