Today we tour legacy Village in Lyndhurst Ohio! An outdoor mall opened in 2003, is very upscale and right across from the Beachwood Place Mall. It is the east side version of Crocker Park which opened in 2004.

Hey guys, I'm in Beachwood, Ohio at Legacy Village.
This is an outdoor mall, much like Crocker Park over in Westlake.
Now, I've been here before, not a whole lot.
There should be like an indoor-ish area here where there's escalators.
I think this is smaller in size than Crocker Park. I think Crocker Park is more spread out.
This place opened up in 2003. Crocker Park opened in 2004, so they're clearly competing with each
other. I don't see a lot of closed stores here. This is right across the street from
Beachwood Mall and the LaPlace that I just filmed.
The east side of Cleveland has a lot of wealth.
And yeah, this place, I'm pretty sure it does well. They got Nordstrom Rack, so you know it's
upscale. So yeah, White House Black Market. Let's go walk around and see what we can find.
In this kind of weather, not a lot of people are walking around like I am.
Yeah, this weather doesn't really lend itself to this mall. Oh, you can walk up there.
Oh, I see the escalators. And I also see a directory. Oh, here would be like a center
area where they would do performances. Yeah, I think under that snow is, oh my gosh, it's so
cold. I think under that snow is grass. So yeah, there was like the center
main court. So let's go to see what they got. Maybe it's warmer in there. Oh man.
So this is the inside. It's not really inside. It's kind of,
I don't know how to describe it. It's inside, but it's outside.
This would be like the indoor section of the mall. So this is where I am. That's wrong. That's
actually the LA Fitness, not S-Fortha Fitness. There is a parking garage here. There's a Hyatt.
Oh, there's a Hyatt right there. Let's look at the restrooms. It's very warm in here.
This is a nice restroom. Look, they give you options. That's nice. They give you
tissue. I like this restroom. I'm going to give this an A. A plus for being so warm.
There he is. Now, the drinking fountain is not in operation during the winter months.
We apologize for any inconvenience. That's not cool. The melting pot is upstairs. Look,
only one of them is working, but they didn't block it off or nothing. So I guess I could
walk up the escalator. It really looks like an indoor mall at this level. Actually, this part
is all indoor. So then you go outside over here. There, it's about to get cold.
Now, as you guys know, and you've heard me say it before a million times, I worked at
Wyss International out of Akron, Ohio back in 2012-2013. This was one of the places that we
counted inventory at, which was a traveling job. I did Lululemon here, and I did
the Apple Store. That's probably the last time I was here. I think it's interesting that Beachwood
supports both an indoor mall, a mini mall, and an outdoor mall right all next to each other.
There's a spa. I don't think it's open. There's Manny.
Evoo. Is this a spa? I don't know. It looks like really empty in there.
It looks like a workout room or something. Insane. I don't know. This place does not lend itself to
the wintertime. There's still some people out. 2003. Wow. Yeah, the early 2000s, the
outdoor mall concept really, really came up. Oh, that one's empty.
Another empty. This looks like it was either, like, that right there kind of tells me like
eyeglass place. We could do, is this empty? Maybe just not open right now. Oh, that's what I was
looking at earlier while I was like, it looks like a gym. It's Bar 3. There's a third floor.
Yeah, we'll see if the elevator will let us because we're not allowed to go there.
So, sorry. We'll see if the elevator will let us go up there.
It is a shoe thing. There's a shoe thing right there to wipe your feet. Yeah, so I don't know
if there's apartments and condos and whatnot on top of the stores here. It kind of doesn't
look like there is. I know at Corker Park they got them, so that could be a difference.
And look at this high from here. That's pretty cool looking.
This is actually a pretty cool view.
It's like a very nice hotel. Want to go in the elevators and see if we could get up to the third
floor? All right. Elevator tour. Lynn Wetzel. They got hand sanitizer. Oh my goodness. That's amazing.
I've never been to this floor. I don't know if it's going to let me because look.
I press three. It's not letting me. Yeah. Unfortunately, will it do? It won't do the P.
There we go. It'll do the one. I think it'll only let you do one and two.
Probably if you had authorization, you could hit the three or the P, but it doesn't let any
average Joe. Look up there. Insane. Wow. A drink with Dora. Okay, let's go. Sweet and sassy.
Flow yoga. Arjas. I may have to walk in one of these stores out of pure
coldness. Look at that fancy place.
Man, this place is pretty good. Oh, there's a Dick's. Let's go there.
Their prices are decked. Oh, look at that crate and barrel. Wow. Look at that.
It's pretty. Oh, look. There's an upper level at the Dick's sporting goods.
Yeah. Oh, wow. Oh, look, they got the orange cabs. Wow. I don't think. Is this a regular Dick's?
Oh, my gosh. Yeah, you could go upstairs. I think the Dick's that they're building,
the Dick's that's coming into the Eastwood Mall,
I think is going to be like this one, because this is not, um,
it's not house of sport big, but it's bigger than a regular one.
Look, the Cleveland Browns jerseys. I like this.
Really? Yeah. Why? I don't know. It wasn't doing that bad. Yeah. It was half dead,
but it wasn't dead bad. Yeah. It's warm in here. Oh, there it is. I like this. This is,
this is nice. Look at all the, look at all the cups. Wow, that's a lot of cups.
Here comes the workout equipment. Ready to see what's outside? It was just a parking lot.
This is how they display the kayaks or the boats. Look at all these rubbery coolers.
I don't like these, actually. That'd be a good beach bag, or I guess that's not a cooler, is it?
I guess it's a bag. It's called Bog. It's a versatile accessory that is a snack tray,
a drink holder, a game tray, and more. How much for a Bog? Let's see. A hundred bucks. If I,
I don't know. Oh, look, you put, you put that on there. So they are cool. Oh, 25% off. So you get,
I guess, 75 bucks for a Bog. They're really cool. They remind me of Crocs.
Oh, I think this is, okay. How much for one of these? 40 bucks. My water bottle I got from Aldi,
it was like five bucks. Well, I'm going to get myself some. Goggles are nice. Yeah. I remember
the, I used to have some of them. Swimsuits, 30. Let's take an elevator tour. Ready? Elevator
We got Schindler alert here. Schindler. Schindler. Wow. Elevator is freaking awesome.
Ooh, Dick's Sporing Goods, restroom review. It's kind of, I don't want to say it's shabby.
It's kind of just unclean. I'm going to give it a B+. Because like, why is this rent?
Why is this peeling? I mean, I understand that that could happen, but it's kind of ugly. Like,
look at this. It functions. This is the best way to get a good view is to do this down escalator
really shows you what the whole place looks like. Gushers Crocs, $54.99. I would totally wear that.
That is awesome. Looks like this was a former restaurant and clearly since the snow's piled
up here, I know it's abandoned and it's being worked on. So it appears that they're probably
going to put something in there. This place would be very nice in the warmer weather.
And I'm actually somebody who really doesn't mind the cold, but at this temperature, it's kind of
too much. Nighttime views. Cheesecake Factory. I don't think I've ever been there. But look,
Let's take the stairs here at Legacy Village. This is warm in here. Oh, wait, that's abandoned.
Ladies and gentlemen, all these places closed? I don't think that's abandoned.
That's abandoned. Some people like to argue in the comments it's not actually technically
abandoned. Yes, but you guys know what I'm talking about. It's vacant. That'd be a nice
place to live. That would be. Oh, there's a lot of emptiness here at Legacy Village.
The Apple Store that I counted with inventory back in like 2013 along with the Lululemon
are not here anymore. They moved over to Eaton. I actually filmed that mall Eaton Square.
I found the mall. It's an upscale luxury mini mall. I actually filmed it on my birthday,
by happenstance. So, Woodmere, that place is really wealthy and they got the acquired the
Apple Store and the Lululemon. So, what the heck is going on here? I think that Legacy Village is
kind of hurting. Like, the big stores are filled, but there's a lot of emptiness here.
I really don't know what to think. Brick and Mortar just seems like it's not
not really a thing. I don't want to say it's not a thing anymore, but it's like really not what it
was. Now, what could they do to fill these spaces? I would just start putting offices here,
you know. I mean, we're not going to have as many restaurants and stores, but
they could definitely rent these out as offices. They could even be dentist offices. I mean,
anything. Because this sucks. This is a very nice place to have the emptiness that it has.
Village Security. There's Window Nation. Look at this Lily Pulitzer. I don't think this one's
open either. Nope. Looks like a nice store. Saturday, 6 p.m., but that's closed. It's like
7. And then this is all, um, I don't think we can walk there. What store was this? Was that the Apple?
I think that might have been the Apple Store. I'm gonna have to double check.
But yeah, that that definitely needs filled. It's like an art gallery.
All right, that's gonna complete my look at the Legacy Village in Beachwood, Ohio.
Uh, very nice, but they still need to fill some stores. The Dick's was really cool.
A lot of upscale things here. Uh, yeah, very nice upscale outdoor shopping center. Not great
for the wintertime. But yeah, hope you guys enjoyed it and I'll see you on the next video.
