Bustleton woman throws Action News‑themed party for superfan husband

We've all attended a theme party, an 80s theme, a tropical theme, but this party theme is near and dear to us here at 6ABC. Sarah Bannock of Busselton threw a birthday party and the theme was Action News. Well, they know that my husband is a huge fan and literally it's the only news show that's allowed to be aired in our house. We like that. Sarah Bannock's husband, Michael, isn't just a fan of Action News. He's a super fan. He never misses the show. He knows everything about us. Who got married? Who worked a double shift? So when it came time to throw him a 40th birthday party, the obvious choice was to make it an Action News themed party. They sang the Action News theme when Michael arrived and Sarah made these really cute face cutouts of us, all the anchors and reporters. I did some crafting and I took the 6ABC logo and the Action News logo and I put that on myself. I made koozies and then I went one step further and I made faces for us all to have. Literally, it's the only news show that's allowed to be aired in our house. I don't think he loves anything more. We tease him. I think Action News goes above me and our boys. It's just friendly and nice and the banter. You can see a friendship on TV and we love that. Well, we love that, that they're so into it. Holy cow. How nice. It was one of the nicest interviews I've ever done. She didn't know that I was doing the interview. I think she thought it was going to be our producer. When I hopped on, it was one of the greatest moments for me. Her chin hit the floor. Oh my gosh. How awesome. It means a lot to us. I've got a jukebox at home. We have a record that plays the Action News theme song, Move Closer to Your World. We need that in their house. Yes. Awesome. I love it. It was like we were all at the birthday party. It was like we were all there. By the way, happy birthday, Michael. I know. Our viewers are something special. They pick up on everything and we're so grateful for their loyalty. I love that story.
