Cabin Fever Has Hit The Huskies!

Good wonderful beautiful morning audience. Can you see it? Can you see what's on the window? Can you see what has happened? Oh there went the squirrel in the past few days. Mainly today and yesterday. Look there's there well there's rain on the window. There's grass out there and there's ice in the backyard. It is 52 degrees outside right now. 52. Everything is melting. The road there's no more snow on the road. We're definitely not dog sledding are we? It is supposed to rain like this all day today. Rain on and off be 50 degrees. Yesterday it was 40. I didn't vlog yesterday. Yesterday it was 40. So a bunch of stuff melted yesterday as well. Yeah this is what we're dealing with. Wet sloppy mess and then we're supposed to get hit with a snowstorm. But now they're saying only two to five inches where it was supposed to be four to eight. So hopefully it goes back up to that four to eight because this is kind of sad. It's so windy out too. They clocked 67 mile an hour winds down at the Detroit airport today. It's supposed to be crazy windy up here today too. Maybe I should go check out the lake. I gotta go to the post office. Maybe we should go do that. Where's Memphis? Hi! How you doing? Huh? You want to tell everybody what happened yesterday? She's like guys remember how mom said that my eye looks a little strange? I don't know if I mentioned that or not. This eye looks like it was a little bit swollen or something. I mentioned it to the vet and she said oh if you wouldn't have said anything I wouldn't even have noticed. Yeah yesterday while we weren't paying attention she decided it was itchy. So I've been putting some medicine on it. It looks really swollen now because of the way she's laying. It doesn't actually look like that. Come on Memphis let's show them. There you go. That's better. Yeah see so that's actually what it looks like. It looks way better. But she scratched it and if you can see it's all red under there. So I've been putting some medicine on it. You almost got my finger there dear. That was my fault. I wasn't paying attention. But yeah she scratched it and uh so now I gotta put some stuff on it. But it actually looks way better than it did. I know it's raining out there and grosso but I guess I gotta go out there anyway. I thought I was gonna get out of the car and show you guys the cool ice formation but uh oh my gosh it's so windy it's shaking the car. Look at look how cool the ice looks. So the wind is actually blowing that way. So everything here is blowing out. You can see open waterway out there and then beyond that there's more ice. Yeah and it's warm today which is crazy. Look at how look how cool the ice looks. Anyway on to the post office back to the house because it's wet and gross out there. You can see it over here too. If I roll this down are we gonna get a crosswind? Hopefully not. Yeah wet and gross and then we're supposed to get snow like tomorrow. Oh my goodness. My goodness. Look at the difference that two days makes. Be careful ma'am. How slippery is it? Jamie and I cleaned up the yard because you know snow melted and hidden prizes were found under the snow. Thankfully this right now... Jamie put a bunch of sand down. This is like slushy but that that's horrible. That's ice even right now. It's windy. It's starting to get cold out. This is all gonna freeze again. Let's check on the pool. See what we got. It is pumping. We got the water pump on it because the ice was starting to thaw and get really heavy. You can see the water pump right there. We put that on it to try to get as much of the water off of it as we can because it was starting to get a little heavy. It's still pumping water out of there and we're trying to get as much of it off as we can before we gotta bring that in because it's gonna freeze. What do you think Miss Memphis? She says I don't know guys. I don't know. It's smooshy. Smooshy snow. The wind is bitter. Yeah it's gonna freeze again. That's what's gonna happen. It's gonna be treacherous. Right? Treacherous. Get in there goofballs. Now that it's not actually raining. Wow look a sunset. Look how fast those clouds are moving. Holy cow. You can see all the ice has gone off the road which is good because that was getting ridiculously treacherous but all of our snow is also gone. Will we get more snow tomorrow? I guess we'll have to find out. I sure hope so. I think Eleanor's got cabin fever. She's like dad can't pull sled. Oh my gosh. I told you I think she got cabin fever. Oh geez. Here come the rumbles and of course Memphis is like right in the middle of the floor. She's like I'll just play with dad. Now two on his arms and two on his hands and two on his everythings. The way she sits and plays with you. It's like this is great. This is great. Dad plays rough with me. I love it. What happened? Nobody's out there. The UPS guy already came. I don't know what he delivered but he already delivered something. Oh my god. Don't come for me. No don't come for me. No don't come for me. No don't come for me. No that's not fair. That's not fair. You were playing with dad not me. Whoa. She almost took the camera out of my hand. Oh there she goes. Eleanor. She's like what you guys. I was having fun. Don't bump into Memphis. It's like this one's got a bunch of squeakers in it and a crinkles and a squeakers and it's so much fun but she never plays with it unless you throw it. She's like as soon as you throw it. She finds them squeaky. She does and the crinkles. All right. All right you throw it. Your turn. She's like dad I'm gonna get it. I'm gonna. I'm gonna. I'm gonna. I'm gonna. I'm gonna. Oh she got it before you could throw it. Memphis I love how you just lay in the middle of the play zone. And I don't know if you saw Kira. Oh watch out Memphis. She's gonna lay right in the play zone. I don't know if you saw Kira just now. She was up. Hey look Memphis got out of the way. You want to lay down up there? I'll let you. Yeah. I'll make sure to stay right here and help you out. Oh my goodness. Kira's like maybe I would like a toy. There's 20 million toys over here Kira. What would you like? Would you like a fox toy? You leave that. Kira's got it. Kira's got the fox toy. Here's it. Is it a fox? What is it? Actually I think it's a duck-billed platypus. What is that? It could be. It is. It's got little feet. Oh can you do it? Can you play with two dogs at once and not get hurt? Don't hurt your ribs. Jamie's ribs have actually been doing quite a bit. Oh my gosh. I feel like I need to wide angle this shot. Holy cow. We're both gonna pull in opposite directions. You pull one way, you pull that way. Used to have you play with the same toy against each other. Yeah. But Eleanor got way stronger. Yeah Eleanor's like no. And Kira doesn't do that like Elle does. So Kira just kind of gives up. Oh my goodness. Are you the referee? Are you refereeing them and making sure that there's no roughing? Be careful guys. Memphis is gonna put you in the penalty box. Two minutes for roughing? Oh not yet. Not yet. She says that was a legal play. Are you sure it was a legal play? I think we're all going inside crazy. I didn't know Kira liked that toy that much. Like I'm looking for the squawker. Just gotta have a squawker. And that was it. That was it. That was it. They all got a little bit of energy out and they're happy. And Memphis gets some couch time which makes her happy. I'm glad you got out of the way Memphis. I really am. She's like I will chase it if you make it move. I will chase it. Watch out here comes Elle. I just didn't want her to get you. Eleanor has a very hard head. So whenever you guys hear me say watch out here comes Elle, it's because you never know when she's gonna jump and hit you in the jaw or uh hit you in the shoulder. She's pretty good at it. Kira's like hey you know what's in here? My toy. I got I got I got this toy. This toy is great and amazing and I love it. I should show you guys this before I totally forget about it again. So my insurance company whenever they the insurance company and my credit union whenever they see like their clients are in the newspaper they'll send us the little clippings. So they laminated the picture of Memphis who was in the newspaper uh the day after Christmas with this photo. She was in our newspaper and I thought that was cute. They also sent the pumpkin house and the pumpkin house which made the newspaper twice. But this one was the coolest that they actually picked this photo of Memphis. I submitted it, they picked it and they put her in the newspaper. Cute. Oh and look I finally put the kids photos in frames. They're not gonna sit here but gosh they're so cute. Hi Eleanor are we hanging out in the office? We got everything ready to get this started tomorrow. If you're wondering why I haven't gotten a card back yet it's because I'm starting it. I don't know what the date actually is today the 7th. So watch your mail if you send a card for the Christmas card exchange. They're finally going out. Jamie just sanded like half of the backyard because it's already pretty much all turned to ice. We're supposed to get four to six inches of snow now it says. Oh my gosh. And I'm hoping we get some of it to make this less slippery. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. Memphis. I was watching her from the dining room. I should have filmed it. And she's laid down. Like we're not. She didn't fall. She's laid down. We're not laying down on ice. Come on sweetheart. Come on girls. Why are you way back there where it's the most treacherous? Come on Kira. Come on El. You hungry? You want a treat? You want to go to bed? Let's go. Please don't run. You're running. That's running. That's not a good idea. Yeah I like your tippy toes. I think that was the slowest fast run I've ever seen ever out of either of you. That was pretty funny. I know it's dark. We're not going to bed yet. Soon enough. I know that's not soon enough.
