1/4 cup canola oil 1 cup applesauce 1/3 cup beet puree or fresh beet juice 1 and 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 Cup of Vanilla Melting discs (optional)
Preheat your oven to 350 Fahrenheit. Whisk together Oil, Applesauce, and Beets. Whisk together Flour and Baking Powder. Slowly mix the dry ingredients with the wet. Consistency should be like cake batter. Spoon into muffin pans to about 2/3rds full. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. They are done when a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean.
Frosting is Optional! All we did was melted the melting discs, and drew on the muffins, and let the candy topping get hard again. Tada!

Alright! Valentine's Day is coming this Friday!
So, we are going to show you guys, how to make some Red Velvet Pupcakes!
That doesn't mean, you get to get on the table!
You're not getting on the table!
Alright! Let's show them, how to make these Pupcakes!
First thing you want to do? Preheat your oven to 350F.
Alright! Here we go! We get to use the KitchenAid mixer for the first time in one of our videos!
Alright! Red Velvet Pupcakes!
First thing we do? Preheat the oven to 350F.
Okay! In one bowl, we're going to put a quarter cup of canola oil.
Put that right in there!
One cup of applesauce. Don't even think about it Memphis!
She's like, I don't want the applesauce!
A third of a cup of beet puree.
You can actually buy beets in a jar.
What I did? I smashed them up and used a little bit of the juice.
Now, we're going to take those wet ingredients and whisk them together.
That's the coolest thing ever!
Now, we're going to take a cup and a half of whole wheat flour.
And two teaspoons of baking powder.
I'm actually just going to put right into this cup.
Now, we're going to kind of stir this in together with a fork.
You can whisk it together a little bit, if you want.
And now, we're going to slowly mix these dry ingredients.
Ding! In with the wet ingredients.
Slowly!
And the dough should be kind of like cake batter consistency.
So, you can spoon it into some muffin pans.
Okay! So, it should look about like that.
If you need to add a little bit more applesauce to it,
to make it a little bit runnier, you can.
Or, if it's too runny, you can add a little bit more flour and that should thicken it up.
It's a nice pink color for Valentine's Day!
What? What do you guys think is going on?
Now, we're going to fill this mini muffin pan.
We're going to fill each of these about two thirds of the way full.
Hey Toph! Shelby, come here!
So, I managed to get a little over two and a half of my heart-shaped mini muffin tins.
There you go! I got some on your nose there.
Stop! Oakley can have some too!
Oakley, get some!
Shelby, get some!
Can't have the whole thing!
Memphis, get some!
Now, we're going to put these in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes at 350F.
And then, take them out and see what they look like.
When they're done, you should be able to stick a toothpick in them, just like a cake.
And there they are! We just took them out of the oven.
Do the toothpick trick!
If your toothpick comes out clean, they are done!
Mine took 25 minutes. Now, we're going to let them sit here and cool.
If you use a metal muffin tin, I would take them out and put them on a cooling rack.
But, I'm going to let mine cool right here.
And then, we're going to put some frosting on them.
So, this is what your pupcakes are going to look when you get them out of the oven.
They'll be a little bit springy.
You want to let them cool all the way.
There's one side. There's the back side with the dog hair.
You don't have to frost them.
You can give them to your pets just like this.
There's a lot of different frostings you can use.
There's cream cheese frostings.
We're actually going to use the candy melt frosting.
Now, don't freak out! These are not chocolate.
These are actually a vanilla flavored melting disk.
There's no cocoa in these at all.
They do have sugar in them.
So, you don't want to use a lot of it.
But, you can basically take it and melt it.
And then, use it as a little bit of frosting to draw on your hearts.
Which is what we're going to do now.
You can take the frosting and frost some of them.
We're not going to frost all of them, but I figured we would do a few.
Color them all in if you want.
And when it dries, it'll be like hard frosting.
Outline them.
See, I don't know if it's easy for you to tell.
I'm just doing a very, very thin, thin layer of frosting on these.
Something a little bit fun.
Just to give them a little bit of extra color.
You want the frosting?
All right, we'll give you a little nibble.
A little nibble for you.
And a little nibble for you.
Oh, you missed your nibble.
Find another one.
And a little nibble for you.
All right, so there they are.
Red velvet pup cakes for the puppies.
We're going to go ahead and let them have one each right now.
Make sure they like them.
Happy Valentine's Day to you guys.
Let us know if you...
Look, you still got red frosting on the table.
Let us know if you guys end up making these for your dogs.
I think our girls like them.
Here Oakley, here.
One for Oakley.
One for Memphis and one for Miss Shelby.
Big time winners.
I think the girls like them.
And for storage, you can store them in the refrigerator or you can freeze them for up to two months.
They'll stay good for about two weeks in the fridge.
Ours will definitely be gone before that.
Thanks girl.
Happy Valentine's Day you guys.
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for subscribing.
Stay positive.
Dream big.
And we will see you soon.
Goodbye!
you
