Love is everywhere, with me!
Pastor Anastasia and I'm so super duper excited!
Thank you for joining me today as we learn more about our best friendship.
Today's special feature comes to us from right here in the United States.
Where my friends Jedrick and Jenna have prepared a beautiful song just for us.
Listen in!
It's impossible to say everything you mean to me
To be a child of a loving love, a plan of happiness
Even glorious days like a blizzard rush me away
And it means everything to me, to be a child
I will know that He is always there to hear my prayer
Whatever happens down the road, I'll hold on to what I know
And it means everything to me, to be a child
Amazing! Boys and girls remember, if you want to share your gifts and talents with Jesus
Please ask your parents or guardian to inbox me!
And I'd be happy to share those with you!
It's nature time!
And it's so beautiful!
It's our friend Rosalia on the cable car in the back!
And you know how she is!
I never know where she's going to take us, what kind of adventure we're going to be on!
And it's so exciting!
If you want to learn more, you'll just have to come along with me!
Hey kids and welcome back to Nature Time!
My name is Rosalia Riley and today we're diving deep down to see the City of Coral!
Welcome to the Coral Reef!
This beautiful rainforest of the sea is made of little jelly-like creatures called polyps.
We've talked about them in previous adventures.
But what you might not know is that as these polyps grow up, they produce crystals from their bodies to form a living skeleton.
But how does this little polyp create the vast structure you see when you're scuba diving?
Easy! They make clones of themselves.
Millions and millions of these clones sticking together to form large structures that look like solid rock.
But these structures are actually made of many tiny creatures just like the sea pen we talked about before.
Coral comes in all different shapes, sizes, colors and textures.
But they all serve the ocean and community they're in.
Take this sea turtle for example. It's being chased by an angry shark!
What can he do?
Well don't worry, he can hide in this piece of coral right here.
That nasty shark can't get to him now.
Coral also provide food for animals such as the parrotfish who chomp away at the algae that grows on the coral.
Kids, can you imagine how these animals and this ecosystem would survive without the coral reef?
The book of Proverbs chapter 18 verse 10 says,
The name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous run into it and are saved.
That's all we have for Nature Time today kids. I'll see you next time. Bye!
We heard that it's somebody's birthday so we're going to shake it up a bit with a special request to shout out my birthday friends.
So today we're going to celebrate September birthdays like Charlotte, Donovan, Kristen and my birthday!
There you are, back right on time for us to check in on Melissa.
I wonder how her week went. Well, let's go!
Hey Pastor Nastasia.
Uh oh, you sound upset. What's wrong?
I messed up big time today. I said something mean to my best friend just because I was embarrassed and now I feel awful.
How can my friend, or worse, God ever forgive me?
Oh, that is a crummy feeling. But I have some great news for you.
Making mistakes does not mean that God stops loving you.
In fact, He's always ready to forgive us when we turn to Him.
Wait a minute, that reminds me of our theme for the day which simply says, God forgives mess up.
Let me hear the birthday boy say say it.
God forgives mess up!
And our memory verse is found in 1 John 1 verse 9.
And it simply says if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness.
Let me hear my friend, Charlotte, the birthday girl all the way in the Bahamas say it.
Hi, my name is Charlotte and this week's memory verse is if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1 verse 9.
Great job everyone!
Are you really forgiving?
That's a great question, Melissa.
Let me tell you the story of someone who made a big mess up.
Even as a king, King David to be exact, and God still forgave him.
Even though David loved God, one day he made a big mistake.
He messed up by taking another man's wife, Bathsheba.
At first, David tried to hide what he had done because he knew he had sinned.
He almost got away with it too until God sent the prophet Nathan to speak to him sharply.
David could have made excuses, but instead he told the truth.
He admitted his wrong and prayed, create in me a clean heart, oh God.
Even though David had messed up, God didn't give up on him.
When David turned to God in confession, he was forgiven and restored.
David's story reminds us that when we mess up, we don't have to run away from God, we can run to Him because God forgives mess ups.
Wowzers! So even if I mess up, I can tell God the truth and He will forgive me?
Maybe my friend will too.
That's right, Melissa. No matter what we do, God still loves us.
Even when we make the biggest mistakes of our life, we can still turn to Him, knowing that God forgives mess ups.
