Hi boys and girls and welcome back to Graceville where God's love is everywhere. It's me
Pastor Anastasia and I'm so super duper excited that you join me today as we learn more about our
best friend Jesus. Today's special feature comes to us all the way from Dubai
where my friend Jeremy has prepared a beautiful song just for us. Let's listen in. Hi my name is
Jeremy. I'm going to play Motivations on Silva. Thanks Jeremy that was amazing. Boys and girls
remember if you want to share your gifts and talents for Jesus please ask your parents or
guardians to inbox me and I'd be happy to share it with our friends. It's nature time again and
I'm so excited because our friend Ryan from Canada is back and you know how it is with him.
You never know who or what we're going to be learning about today so come along with me.
Hello boys and girls and welcome again to nature time at Graceville. Today we're going to be doing
hyenas part two. Let's tune in. It seems that hyenas always have a bad reputation.
In our last episode we learned that they have large heads and long front legs. They aren't
pleasant to look at especially the spotted hyena with its scrappy fur drooling mouth and slanted
back. The media shows them as evil creatures and so we see them as cowardly hateful animals that
make annoying laughing sounds. Another reason why many people don't like hyenas is that they believe
that they steal food from other animals and dig up dead things. The fact is that hyenas are Africa's
best predators. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God it changed everything. Because of sin animals even
people behave hatefully and how can we love those who are hateful? Luke chapter 6 verses 27 to 28 say
I say to you who are listening to me love your enemies do good to those who hate you
ask God to bless those who say bad things to you pray for those who are cruel to you it's pretty
hard to like someone who's mean to you let alone love them but you know what Jesus says that with
anything is possible bye boys and girls thanks for tuning in see you next time
and we're back just in time to check in on Melissa I wonder how her week went well let's find out
hey Pastor Anastasia no time to talk too much to do hmm maybe I can help you could
but you can't because I have to walk my neighbor's dog have to bake cupcakes for the fall festival
and I have to rake leaves in Miss Ingrid's yard all before 5 p.m I love helping people
so why am I so stressed probably because you're trying to do everything by yourself
God loves it when we're helpful and serve others but we were never meant to do it all alone
it's always better when we serve God together wait a minute that reminds me of our theme for this
week which simply says we can do more together let me hear they say it we can do more together
and our memory verse is found in Ecclesiastes 4 verse 9 and it simply says two are better than one
they get more done working together let me hear my friend Natalia say it two people are better
than one they get more done working together Ecclesiastes 4 verse 9 great job everyone
I hear you Pastor Anastasia but I'm just so used to doing it all on my own I get it but imagine
how many more people you could be helping with just a little bit of teamwork that's exactly what
the early Christians discovered when Matthew and Peter led them to choose seven men to help them
care for the widows can you guess what those seven men were called boy the close about again
early Christians seven men and widow oh I know what it must be about the seven deacons
that's right my friend today's story is about the seven deacons
as the church continued to grow in Jerusalem they took care of each other and shared what they had
everything seemed to be going well until Peter noticed some of the believers arguing
the Greeks weren't happy because their widows were being left out
prayerfully the apostles gathered the people together realizing that they could do more
to help God's people by working together seven spirit-filled men were chosen to assist them
in caring for all the widows these men were called deacons as their helpers grew
the apostles discovered that they could do so much more working together
wowzers just think of how many more people I could help if I invite my friends to help too
most definitely so how about you invite some friends to join you in service
let's start with me because we can do so much more together
